At the time, he was the third-youngest rookie head coach in NCAA D-I. In 2020, McMahon joined a select group of Racer coaches to have three-consecutive 20-win seasons. McMahon's overall mark in six seasons at Murray State is 123-64 (.657). He's the twelfth in 16 Murray State head coaches to have a winning percentage of 60 percent or better. In his first six seasons at MSU, McMahon's Racers have won OVC games at a .707 clip with a mark of 75-31. In the 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20 seasons, MSU won three-straight OVC regular-season titles and won two OVC Tournament titles which led the NCAA appearances in 2018 and 2019. McMahon has been associated with some of the greats in MSU history both as an assistant and as head coach. In nine seasons at MSU (four as assistant for Steve Prohm and six as head coach), McMahon has coached an impressive group of All-Ohio Valley Conference performers including Isaiah Canaan, Donte Poole, Ivan Aska, Ed Daniel, Jarvis Williams, Cameron Payne, Jeffery Moss, Jonathan Stark, Terrell Miller, Shaq Buchanan, Darnell Cowart, Ja Morant, Tevin Brown, and KJ Williams. On episode 83 of the Runnin' with the Racers Podcast, Murray State hall of famer Isaiah Canaan is thankful of the career he had with the Racers' men's basketball team from 2009-13. One of the most influential figures in program history, Canaan helped set the Racers on a decade of winning championships and sending players to the NBA.
In the latest episode of the Win In 6 Podcast, Adam McGee is joined by Jordan Treske to reflect on the All-Star Game, discuss the addition of Isaiah Canaan, look ahead to the Bucks' West coast trip, and more.
Two-thirds of the regular season is in the bag. We discuss some of the team’s most glaring strengths and weaknesses as well as look at current playoffs odds. Also, Towns/Okogie headed to All Star Weekend, Isaiah Canaan, Randy Wittman, worrying about the next GM, a Rising Stars game, and more. This episode of Wolvescast is sponsored by Hack-A-Mole
Jerryd Bayless is the only healthy point guard on the roster, and he's been making the most of it, despite some mediocre shooting at times. Isaiah Canaan was brought in on a ten day contract to provide some relief at the very least. Minnesota did not have a good week, losing both games to Utah, and barely squeaking past the Memphis Grizzlies. facebook.com/timberwolvesexplosion @wolvesexplosion paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877

The Suns want a pick and a point guard. Is there a solution here?Or could a team like Charlotte, Indiana, Minnesota or Brooklyn make more sense? Finally, quick thoughts on Eric Moreland's place in Phoenix and whether he plays much at all off the bench. The Phoenix Suns waived Isaiah Canaan. Is there a ceiling to their Point Book lineup? And we talk the complicating factors in considering any Markelle Fultz trade with the 76ers.
On today’s episode, we break down the first poor showing in a while from the Suns, a 115-99 loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles on the second night of a back-to-back. The Clippers, coming off two nights of rest, throttled the Suns in the second half, led by Danilo Gallinari, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. They also gave Deandre Ayton a peculiar matchup between Harrell’s punch-you-in-the-mouth energy and Boban Marjanovic’s ridiculous length and efficency. In the end, it was too much for Phoenix, despite consistent effort and a career night for rookie Elie Okobo as the new (for now) backup point guard. We also touch briefly on Isaiah Canaan’s release. On today’s episode, we break down the Suns’ second consecutive loss and 10th on the year, a 119-99 gut punch in New Orleans. From the Suns’ perspective, it was another huge indicator of how big the need is at the point guard spot, with both Devin Booker and Isaiah Canaan playing poorly. For the Pelicans, it was business as usual. Phoenix just could not handle the combination of Julius Randle and Anthony Davis inside. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On the very first Grade That Trade episode of the pod, you sent in creative Sixers trades, and we evaluate them based on entertainment, realism, and overall value. Sixers trades for Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, DeWayne Dedmon, Isaiah Canaan, Kevin Durant, Giannis, Otto Porter, Jimmy Butler, Kyle Korver and more are included.
Kevin Zimmerman and Kellan Olson discuss the Suns' final roster moves, the signing of Jamal Crawford and touch on the rest of the NBA on opening night.
On today's episode, we discussed why Kyrie Irving announcing his intentions to remain in Boston directly impacts the Suns' point guard search. With Marcus Smart also signed long-term with the Celtics, should General Manager Ryan McDonough get aggressive for Terry Rozier? This discussion was a great segway into discussing the current situation on Phoenix's roster. Who stood out most through two preseason games between Shaquille Harrison, Elie Okobo and De'Anthony Melton? Should Josh Jackson start in place of them instead alongside Devin Booker on opening night? Finally, we did a quick preview of Friday's final preseason home game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Deandre Ayton has done great thus far, but he's in for his first real challenge against Jusuf Nurkic. And will someone finally separate themselves in the point guard race, possibly even veteran journeyman Isaiah Canaan once he returns from a thumb injury? Learn more about your ad choices. On today's episode of Locked On Suns, Evan and Brendon recap the Suns' 109-105 loss in Milwaukee. After firing Jason Kidd a few hours before tip, the Bucks were able to pull it out but not without Phoenix being bitten by the turnover bug yet again. Through the first of the episode, we discussed our biggest takeaways for the Suns. This led to the point guard discussion and Tyler Ulis' poor play of late, seeing him attempt 0 shots and Isaiah Canaan takes the majority of second-half minutes. With the increasing likelihood we see Brandon Knight next year, what's that about to look like next to Devin Booker? We tried to make sense of the point guard situation, which we believe heavily relies on how the ping pong balls play out in May. Also, we brought up Adrian Wojnarowski's report of rumored friction between Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs. How does this relate to the Suns? Is it something to monitor moving forward if you're general manager Ryan McDonough? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On today's episode of Locked On Suns, Evan and Brendon recap the Suns' 103-89 loss in San Antonio. Without T.J. Warren (illness), Phoenix relied upon Devin Booker to carry even more of a heavier workload, which included backup point guard duties with Isaiah Canaan also out. From the Spurs matchup, we touched on Josh Jackson, Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, Tyler Ulis and Booker's performances. Also, we discussed Kevin O'Connor's great article on Booker over at The Ringer. Diving deeper into his points, is building the roster around the 21-year-old much like Houston did with James Harden the way to go?One interesting stat to follow, Booker now is third (fourth if you still somehow consider Harden an SG) in games where he dishes out 5 or more assists. He has done so 16 times in 31 contests, which puts him on a playmaking-type trajectory many never expected this early. Only DeMar DeRozan (21) and Jimmy Butler (19) have done it more, albeit in more opportunities. This is a must-listen if you want our last thoughts on #TheTimeline before our halfway stock reports, which take place this weekend. What's your grades for the young Suns core parts at the halfway mark, and would you go the Harden path with Booker if you are general manager Ryan McDonough? On today’s episode of Locked On Suns, Evan and Brendon dive into everything surrounding Devin Booker’s return to the Suns’ lineup. He picked up right where he left off before missing nine games with a left adductor strain, scoring 32 points and leading the Suns to a two-point home victory. How did he fit into the rotation that Triano crafted in his absence? We revisited Alex Len’s hot streak and wondered where Len ranks on this team. How has he been so consistent, and how has he improved? Is he perhaps more valuable to the team than T.J. Warren? Finally, we considered the addition of Isaiah Canaan and the impact it has had on the rest of the lineup, especially the second unit. His play has been a key factor in Dragan Bender’s recent emergence, which continued last night against Memphis with a game-winning assist. Learn more about your ad choices. On today's episode of Locked On Suns, Brendon and Evan looked back on another ugly, Devin Booker-less loss on the road. The Clippers rode Austin Rivers to a home victory, but despite struggling to defend Rivers, rookie Josh Jackson had one of his better performances. We looked at Jackson's performance compared to his season overall. We also discussed, once again, what type of change in the starting lineup might jump-start the offense. Is there any way Tyson Chandler leaves the starting lineup? We talked through the point guard rotation as well, even considering whether Isaiah Canaan might be an option with the starters. Finally, we looked into possible trade scenarios for the Suns as their roster begins to take shape for the second half of the year. Is Greg Monroe on his way out after sitting three of the last four games? Might Kemba Walker be a target for the Suns if Charlotte continues to struggle? Learn more about your ad choices. On today's episode of Locked On Suns, we dove into the last two games for the Devin Booker-less Suns. How are the Suns succeeding without their top scorer and offensive focal point? Specifically, we looked at Alex Len's hot streak and how it affects the team's long-term plans in the frontcourt. Then, we moved to his big man partner, Dragan Bender, and his performance over the weekend. We discuss whether the Timberwolves game was a turning point for him, or just another blip. Finally, we spoke about the guard rotation, which has been upside-down since the Suns signed Isaiah Canaan a week ago. Mike James is out, Canaan is in, and Troy Daniels is scoring in bunches. We tried to make sense of it all, and discussed what might happen when Devin Booker (and Davon Reed) return to the lineup. Thanks for listening, and make sure to subscribe! The Celtics and Bulls played game 5 last night in the TD Garden in Boston, MA in front of the Celtics faithful. The Celtics lost games 1 and 2 in this same building last week which at the time gave the Chicago Bulls a 2-0 series lead going back to Chicago for games 3 and 4. After game 2 Isaiah Thomas left the Celtics to go be with his family as they dealt with the death of Isaiah's sister. Meanwhile the Bulls lost Rajon Rondo in game 2 to a broken thumb. It was announced before game 3 that Rajon Rondo would miss the game and be out for atleast a week. Isaiah Thomas returned and helped the Celtics win game 3 in Chicago 104-87. 2 nights later the Celtics won game 4 104-95 to tie the series 2-2 coming back to Boston for game 5. Last night in game 5 the Bulls were again without Rajon Rondo and had Isaiah Canaan start in place of Rondo. Unlike games 3 and 4 where the Celtics blew it open early the Bulls managed to keep this game close as Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford and Jae Crowder would all have trouble scoring through 3 quarters and the teams were in a 2 point game going into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter Isaiah Thomas and the other Celtics starters picked it up and the Celtics went from being down 2 to winning the game by 11 via the final score 108-97. We will be joined by the Host of the @TechLifePod podcast Rich Conte as we recap what happened in game 5 and look to Fridays game 6 in Chicago

Intro music is a song by Sex Karate, called Gender Queer while The Side Bets close out the show with Haven't You Heard. CXLMBIA also contribute their song Don't Go to the mix as does Arcade At Midnight with Better Off Alone.
