Join The Club: https://financesforsalonprofessionals.com/ Hi everyone. I am really excited to announce that my membership site for independent contractors and salon owners is finally launching in two days. I’ve been working on the site for the past six months. As I was building the site, I was trying to add to the membership program the types of services that I thought would be most beneficial to the members. The services that I eventually settled on were those that my current clients and other beauty industry professionals seem to struggle with the most. In this video, I’m going to give you an inside peek of what is currently available within the program. So here we go. Let’s see what’s behind the curtain.

"I'm not cut out for this." "I don't know what I'm doing." "I'm a bad mom."These thoughts can fuel an overwhelming feeling of Imposter syndrome - in which one doubts one's accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud". Sound familiar?Dr. Emee Vida Estacio is a chartered psychologist & best-selling author, sharing in this episode practical strategies to remedy this feeling; but first, she shares her own tumultuous transition to motherhood and how she ended up walking away from a distinguished career in academics.Get ready to take notes as you listen! She explains the 2 symptoms of imposter syndrome:#1 - The inability to internalize success#2 - Maladaptive perfectionist tendenciesShe teaches us the TLC Technique for exploring the voice of our inner critic, as well as the Flashlight Technique she uses with her clients. She believes it's harmful to try to banish, suppress or crush your inner critic and coaches a new perspective. My beautiful friend, Laurenne, joins us today to share about her lowest low in motherhood. Just when she thought she couldn't go on, a trip to Trader Joes and a new tea set breathes life and the thought starts to actually sink in that she might just be the right mom for her daughters.I'm so grateful for Laurenne's vulnerability and wisdom, it is exactly the heart of what this podcast hopes to capture. You are not doing it wrong if it's hard, you are not alone, and you're not the only one thinking you're the only one!Laurenne mentions her gratitude for finding a friend group in which she could be honest and real, and encourages you to find the same. If you haven't yet, find a MOMS Club, MOPS group, or something similar in your area. If none of those are offered, it looks like you're going first and starting something! You can do hard things, friend. A FB group, a monthly book club... it's worth it. Early motherhood just cannot and should not be weathered alone. If you or a loved one ever feels like Laurenne did, help is standing by!Suicide Prevention Hotline: Call or chat. They are here to help anyone in crisis. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy amid all the coronavirus chaos. You get me solo today as I wanted to share the first book for the 'Cup of Something Lovely' virtual book club. For the first book selection, let's come together to read one of my favourite books of 2019:Meet Me in Monaco by Hazel Gaynor and Heather WebbThis delightful read was a grocery store purchase that I ate up in two-and-a-half days. I love historical fiction and chose this one for us because there are no wars, no sickness --- just a solid story about a feisty French entrepreneur determined to keep her family’s perfume business alive in the 1950’s, with Grace Kelly’s wedding timeline as the foundation for how events unfold. And it’s a love story. Ah, l’amour. It 's the perfect chocolat macaron of a book.Where to buy or borrow it:Indigo (Ebook and paperback formats)Amazon (Ebook, paperback and Audible formats)#GetThrifty by making use of your local library's online book catalogue --- for FREE! (Ebook and sometimes audio formats)JOIN THE CLUB! To formally join the ‘Cup of Something Lovely’ book club and be part of the virtual book discussion, email me at (citygirltalks.podcast@gmail.com). Everyone is welcome!Stuff and Things:If you're working from home these days and finding it a bit weird, check out this great blog post with tips from To Vogue or Bust's Alex Grant. I've also shared some tips for staying positive while the chaos swirls. If you have the means, I'd love it if you could contribute to the virtual food drive that I'm holding for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. They are in great need of support right now to help families who don't have the resources to stock-pile at this difficult time. The Food Bank is not government funded and every contribution helps!

This is the Article I mention Have a hard time following?? JOIN THE CLUB, hang in with us while we learn people's names and discuss what the smell could be... 5 buses take the kids into the mountains but get dropped back off (where did the drivers go) Mrs President makes everyone meet up at the middle of the night only to send everyone home again. Dbag1 (?) throws a rager, and the two guys from before notice the graffiti is gone, the rager spills into the church. Big Eyes tries to kiss BFF who is not thrilled and Nice Girl 1 breaks it off with Dbag1 because he is all over Random Girl 5. Ginger tries to get Camera Girl to join the party but shes not interested and Dbag 2 grabs Ballerina’s arm in a way that screams Domestic Violence Two More Random Kids discover there is no cell service or wifi, they can only call or text each other. Shy Girl 4 mentions her mom was a hoarder/agoraphob so she knows her mother didn’t just leave Dbag2 freaks everyone out and the teens go into a mass panic at the grocery store. Foster and Big Eyes have a truce but like Big Eyes, you can do better than this. Ballerina is hoarding carrots, new name to be Rabbit and Big Eyes give a long speech about how her sister is the protagonist which is a misdirection but also why this speech about boats?? Mrs President has a meeting at the church, she wants to share and vote on things. DBag 1 thinks its dumb, theres some coin flipping and then DBag2 walks in with a mother fucking gun. Mrs President tells him to straight up shoot her and Dbag 2 laughs and then FUCKING HARRY AKA DBAG1 LEAVES WITH HIM, absolutely not. But before they can actually leave... Storyline of the bra that almost held up We first meet Tits when her mother tells her to cover up, and the second her mother is vanished into the void, those tits come out to play. She is crushing hard on one of the adventure scouts but gets bitten by a snake and fucking dies. One of the adventure scouts, could this be American Graffiti? Who knows, tries to help her and then gives up because she is allergic to snakes so it's not just the venom and they carry her dead body back to the town. RIP Tits. They round up some hunks to bury her corpse before it gets stinky.

So you don't want to workout or eat healthy...JOIN THE CLUB! But you know you're gonna need to get this shit done. In this podcast I'll share how to use Mel Robbins "5 Second Rule" to kick ass with your fitness and fat loss journey!
Do you often feel overwhelmed by multiple responsibilities pulling you in different directions? Do you often feel like you are failing at many things -- important things -- that others count on you for? Do you feel there is never enough time for you, for your spiritual life, your work, your kids, and your marriage? If so, JOIN THE CLUB. So many of us struggle to find balance in our lives. In this show, we talk about steps you can take to begin to take more responsibility for how you spend your time and energy each day. We talk about how you can begin to live your life more purposefully and with intention, in line with the many priorities you care about. I offer these steps: 1) Recognize that you get to choose. Take responsibility for the fact that you are not a victim. You are in control of your life and you get to decide how you will spend your time. 2) Decide what your priorities are. Take time to think about what things are important to you and how much time you think you should reasonably spend on each of them on a regular basis. 3) Make a plan. This can be a formal, written plan, or it can be an informal one you have in you mind. Figure out what works for you. 4) Start now! Stop thinking you will "get organized" later. Begin these steps today and then enjoy the peace of mind that comes from having a thought-out plan for your life, in whatever way it works for you. And tell me what does work for you! I want to know your thoughts and ideas about taking better control of your days. Let me know what you think! Referenced in this show: A Mother's Rule of Life by Holly Pierlot
