Anthony welcomes back Brady Klopfer of Golden State of Mind to get ready for what will almost certainly be an instant classic. Game six is going to be insane, and watching the series shift from undeniable respect from both sides to, "hey wait we have to win this thing" has been fascinating. The guys discuss that, and then turn their attention to where Golden State goes if they fall short in game six. The ripple effects here stretch across the league potentially. Michael Duarte Previews Lakers/Warriors Game 4
The Lakers had success in Game 1 by playing certain matchups that seemed to catch the Warriors off guard - starting Jarred Vanderbilt on Steph Curry, for example. And in Game 3, the Lakers came back with a host of changes. Vanderbilt was switched off of Curry and onto Draymond Green, letting Anthony Davis check (and essentially ignore) JaMychal Green and have more freedom to roam defensively. And, of course, Lonnie Walker IV got the minutes that had been going to Troy Brown Jr., a significant change in the rotation that paid real dividends. So with the Lakers up 2-1 going into tonight's Game 4, how much credit does Ham get for LA's good showing thus far? It's been a fairly controversial season for the first year head coach, and he's certainly under the microscope.Should people expect more changes for Game 4? Is there anything Ham can do to preempt any changes Steve Kerr might throw at him? Or is it a matter of having a plan ready based on what might be coming? Certainly the Lakers won't be approaching tonight's game like they did Game 2 in San Francisco. Not exactly a scheduled loss, but the Lakers didn't keep the pedal down throughout.Monday, they'll be pushing for a win, because they don't want to have to win two of three with two games up north.Meanwhile, does Darvin need to think about how Reaves is being used (how much, as well), or is Walker the adjustment that can help the second year player make it through, when fatigue looks like a real issue?HOSTS: Andy and Brian KamenetzkySEGMENT 1: The Lakers made a ton of adjustments on Saturday.SEGMENT 2: How much credit does Ham get for LA's 2-1 lead? Is Lonnie Walker sticking in the rotation?SEGMENT 3: What to expect in Game 4.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by sharing his thoughts on the viral incident between Nikola Jokic and Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ishbia during the Suns' Game 4 win over the Denver Nuggets. Some are already calling on Jokic to be suspended for Game 5, but J-Mac believes the whole thing is much ado about nothing. In fact, the big story to come out of this one should be how incredible Devin Booker has looked so far in the postseason. Later, Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) swings by to help make sense of the Philadelphia 76ers' overtime win over the Boston Celtics. James Harden turned back the clock for the second time this series – and saved Joel Embiid from a boatload of criticism in the process. On the flip side, the Boston Celtics have to be kicking themselves for the way they melted down in overtime as both Jaylen Brown (giving up the go-ahead jumper to Harden) and Jayson Tatum (never even getting a game-winning shot off) made costly blunders. Finally, the guys close the show by making their Best Bets for Monday night's NBA Playoffs action featuring the Miami Heat vs New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors. It's been a fairly controversial season for the first year head coach, and he's certainly under the microscope. Should people expect more changes for Game 4? Is there anything Ham can do to preempt any changes Steve Kerr might throw at him? Or is it a matter of having a plan ready based on what might be coming? Certainly the Lakers won't be approaching tonight's game like they did Game 2 in San Francisco. Not exactly a scheduled loss, but the Lakers didn't keep the pedal down throughout. Monday, they'll be pushing for a win, because they don't want to have to win two of three with two games up north. Meanwhile, does Darvin need to think about how Reaves is being used (how much, as well), or is Walker the adjustment that can help the second year player make it through, when fatigue looks like a real issue? HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky SEGMENT 1: The Lakers made a ton of adjustments on Saturday. SEGMENT 2: How much credit does Ham get for LA's 2-1 lead? Is Lonnie Walker sticking in the rotation? SEGMENT 3: What to expect in Game 4. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! eBay Motors For parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. Adam Spinella joins the show and we dive deep on a few NBA games from over the weekend. We start with 76ers-Celtics, a beautiful disaster of a basketball game that saw James Harden go for 42 and nine assists, saw the Celtics complete a tremendous comeback to force overtime, and saw them again fail to mount consistent late-game offense in clutch moments. Then we're going to dive deep into Lakers-Warriors Game 3, which featured a number of incredible tactical adjustments. Why this is by far the best series of the second round, and how the Warriors can counteract and adjust to what is happening. Finally, we chat briefly about Knicks-Heat, a series that seems relatively uninteresting due to the distinct advantages the Heat possess.
