Hour 1: Max Scherzer was scratched yesterday with neck spasms and then the Mets went out and lost again, this time to the Reds. The Mets did dodge a bullet not getting Carlos Correa who is currently being booed in Minnesota. The Mets starting pitchers are taking up over $114 million dollars and not pitching. Boomer said this all started with the injury to Edwin Diaz at the World Baseball Classic. Where will the Mets be at the trade deadline and will they be buyers or sellers? Right now they are looking like sellers. It's not even where the Mets are in the standings. It's who they're losing to which is discouraging. This is a sign the Knicks are going to lose tonight. Boomer thinks they will win tonight as they will be highly motivated. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with sound from last night's Mets loss to the Reds. The Mets are now 17-19. Buck Showalter talked about the play that got him thrown out of the game. Lindor also called about the non-interference play at second. Francisco Alvarez hit 2 HRs for the Mets in the loss. Max Scherzer talked about his stiff neck. Boomer said he woke up with a stiff neck one time when he was with the Jets. Jake Bauers had a mighty HR to left center. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs last night. The Devils lost to the Hurricanes and are on the brink of elimination. In the final segment of the hour, Gio was recording commercials before the show and lost his voice and got the hiccups. We have the audio of course. Country singer Morgan Wallen canceled all of his shows, including the one Gio was going to at MetLife Stadium. Boomer called him the Max Scherzer of country singers. We segued into the NFL schedule which is coming out tomorrow. Boomer is heading to Las Vegas in a few weeks to record promos for the NFL Today. Hour 2: The Knicks are on the brink of elimination and play tonight at the Garden. Gio said the Heat are not like the Warriors in their heyday so the Knicks do have a chance. But can they really win three straight? Boomer said the Knicks can't be lazy on defense tonight. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio tells us the NFL International games that were just announced. Jerry starts with audio from last night's Mets loss to the Reds. The Mets left the bases loaded in the eighth and lost by a run. Max Scherzer talked about his neck spasms that kept him from starting last night. The Yankees had no problem beating the A's. Torres and Bauer had HRs for the Yankees. Jerry goes around the NBA from last night's playoff games. Gio has no faith in the Knicks tonight. The Devils got crushed by the Hurricanes, 6-1. In the final segment of the hour, ESPN is the leader in the clubhouse to land the Pat McAfee Show. How will his show change being on ESPN? Will he still be wearing a tank top? Hour 3: The NFL announced The Bengals will play the Chiefs on New Year's Eve on CBS. Something happened where people think the NHL Draft is fixed. Boomer explained. Jerry returns for an update and we compare the Mets pitching staff to KD and Kyrie on the Nets and how they were paid to not play. Buck Showalter talked about injuries and said everybody has them and you have to deal with it. Gio wonders if Francisco Lindor cares how many games the Mets win considering how much money he's being paid. Max Scherzer talked about his neck spasms. Gio called him a ‘money grab guy'. The Yankees beat the A's 10-5. Aaron Judge returned and drove in a run. Jerry went around the NBA from last night's playoff games. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about what fans are really looking for when athletes get big contracts in NY. Gio doesn't think the Knicks will fire Tom Thibodeau but Boomer isn't so sure. Hour 4: Maybe we'll get a great Justin Verlander start. Maybe we'll get a Knicks win. We need to get the Knicks/Heat series to Friday night. The Dolphins & Jets will play on Black Friday. The Giants and Eagles will play on Christmas. Boomer said the Knicks are going to win tonight. Boomer said Gio has to stop with the Knick negativity. He wants to bet on the Heat but Boomer is forbidding it. Betting against your team is an ‘emotional hedge'. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and goes over the NFL schedule that has been released so far. The Mets lost to the Reds by a run and left the bases loaded in the eighth. Max Scherzer had neck spasms and was scratched from his start. Aaron Boone talked about the solid win over the lowly A's. Gio wants to ban all audio from Aaron Boone for the rest of the season because he's boring and never says anything interesting. At least ban him until the All Star break. In the final segment of the show, Gio talked about all the cool technology they have for golfing now. Gio got a ‘new, stiff shaft'.

Stop us if you've heard this before, but the New York Knicks and Miami Heat are facing off in the NBA Playoffs. That phrase alone brings back memories of the 1990s, when the two teams engaged in one of the most intense rivalries in NBA history. While the conflict lacked the ultimate glory of championships, it was always filled to the brim with bad blood, betrayals, fisticuffs, animosity, and the occasional head coach hanging onto the leg of a star player. So today, ahead of Game 2, Chris Herring, author of Blood in the Garden: The Flagrant History of the 1990s New York Knicks, explains the feud between these two franchises, and how this series is bringing the 90's back into today's NBA Playoffs. Alex Monaco breaks down the NBA Playoffs from his unique betting perspective, as he is a red-hot 8-1 in his last 9 NBA picks. The Golden State Warriors bounced back without Draymond Green against the Sacramento Kings. Down 2-1, can the defending champs even the series? Then, Monaco discusses the Lakers-Grizzlies series and is fully confident in LeBron James and Anthony Davis this weekend. Later, Monaco is being cautious in the Bucks-Heat series as long as superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is injured, but he still likes the Bucks to beat the Heat. Finally, he gives you his best bets for the Knicks-Cavs series and a plus-money parlay including the Suns-Clippers. #Volume #HerdSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
