Today on the show I'm sitting down with singer-songwriter, pianist and artist, Ainsley Rice McGray. Ainsely is able to communicate deep emotion, by diving right into her soul and pulling out the most uncomfortable feelings, kickin' or screaming. Her music is as mysterious, heartfelt and powerful as Ainsley herself. As a fellow artist who lives their life on stage, she is her canvas as much as the art itself, just trying to make sense of this thing we call life. Her talent has made her an award winning artist and I couldn't be happier to have her on the show. Are you sitting down? It's the Finale of DYKE DAWGS! That's right, all good things must come to an end. Nikki finished the series with a mystery, some improv and, wait? A podcast, in a podcast, in a podcast!? You decide what happened to Murphy and Diesel. Then, stick around for the therapy session you'll need. This episode of The Doctor Will See You Now will ground you back to reality. Monte hits us with an optimistic patient who shows us therapy really does work! Dr. McGray reminds us therapists aren't just there for the hard times. They're there for you through the wins, too.
Written by Monte, we begin with DYKE DAWGS! Listen along as they talk about winning an award, respond to fan mail, discuss the Barbie movie and Diesel goes to church?? Bonus points if you can guess which parts are improv! Then Nikki starts a brand new story, The Doctor Will See You Now. Laugh, cry, feel second-hand embarrassment as you follow along on the journey of psychologist Dr. McGray's therapy sessions. In this session Lila has a breakthrough, but not before things get a little "shitty".

Bio for Sue Z. McGray Author and Speaker Sue grew up believing that her acceptance was based on performance. She felt that she wasn't enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not talented enough. She says that most of her life, she was extremely shy and insecure. As a teenager, she experienced a shattering event that forever changed her life, the tragic death of her youngest sister. Ann was run over and killed by the school bus Sue was riding. Overcome with anger, grief, and resentment; Sue says she symbolically buried her heart and feelings so that she would never experience pain like that again. Sue says that she married too young. The marriage became toxic, with verbal abuse, and emotional abuse and then physical abuse. Sue says that she became very Co-Dependent. After 30 years of marriage, she says she ran for her life and never returned to her home. After totally surrendering her life to Christ, Sue has been given a second chance at life. She is eternally grateful for God's Grace and Love. Today, Sue is an author, and speaker, giving hope to women of all ages. She encourages women to be all that God created them to be. Sue was an entrepreneur and owned a cosmetic business for 37 years. Today, Sue serves on the board with Morning Star Sanctuary, a Christian safe place for women and children. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Christina Women in Media. Her hobby is oil painting. Sue writes a blog, it can be seen on her website at www.suez@suez.mcgray.com Sue is married to Duane McGray, they have three adult children and five granddaughters. They live in the Nashville area. In her book, "Becoming Visible: Letting Go of the Things that Hide Your True Beauty" Sue relates how readers can let go of the things that hide their God-given beauty and trust in Him for their peace.

The following morning everyone is found dead, with Madame Katerina being the only survivor. When questioned she alleges a tormented spirit killed the families for revenge. McGray, even though he believes her, must find a rational explanation that holds up in court, else Katerina will be sentenced to death. Inspector Ian Frey is summoned to help, which turns out to be difficult as he is still dealing with the loss of his uncle, and has developed a form of post-traumatic stress (not yet identified in the 19th century). This seems an impossible puzzle. Either something truly supernatural has occurred - or a fiendishly clever plot is covering a killer's tracks...
