We brought back guest Chris Vazquez to discuss the 2017 reboot film Power Rangers, which flopped at the box office and resulted in the talks of any sequel being axed. Somehow Transformers gets five movies, but Hollywood didn't want to revisit the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers? We discuss everywhere this movie went wrong and give our ideas of what could have made it a better movie. Plus, we lean into the nerd nostalgia so get ready for some TV/movie references you haven't heard in years.
¡Pues a metamorfosearse!

This Podcast is set up so that listeners at home can watch the movies along with us and laugh along as we talk about whatever comes to mind! From pop-culture-related events to AMC theater work stories, hell even us just talking about our personal lives! The Movie we are discussing in this episode is, "Mighty Morphing Power Rangers The Movie" , with special Guests STEVEN GARCIA AND VICTOR OCASIO Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a 1995 American superhero film. It stars the ensemble cast of Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, Steve Cardenas, Jason David Frank, Amy Jo Johnson, and David Yost alongside the villains cast from the original series and Paul Freeman as Ivan Ooze. Much like the television season that followed the release, it used concepts from the Japanese Super Sentai series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. It is the first Power Rangersproduction from Saban Entertainment not to feature any archived footage from Super Sentai. It is the first installment in Power Rangers film series. The film was released in between the second and third seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but is incompatible with season three, which provides a different explanation for the Rangers gaining their Ninja Ranger powers and Ninjazords, indicating they are set in different continuities. Take a moment to sit with a fellow deep-thinker and discuss the subtle nuances of avoiding going insane as the world seemingly crumbles around us. Allison and I discuss parenting, technology, economics, and a myriad of other subtopics, while we break down what it is like to be a young adult in 2021. We are facing challenges that no other generation has encountered and we are doing it in a world that is constantly changing. How do we know what is right and wrong? How do we help our children to grow to be better than we are? How can we heal the wounds of the past to make a better future? We may not know the answers to the hardest of these questions, yet. But we are having fun trying to figure it all out. Thank you for coming along for the ride. We hope you enjoy! Note from Jeff: If you are curious about meditation, but have struggled to find a technique which works for you, listen to the last 20 minutes of this episode. I explain the visualization technique that I use to quiet the mental chatter and find some peace and calm. Trust me, it works. Music Credit: Still Fly, Revel Day. Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. A T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and a T-X (Kristanna Loken) travel to 2004 to either protect or destroy John Connor (Nick Stahl). Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines leans hard onto a comedic tone that never completely works. There are moments of darkness, not the least of which is the downer of the ending. Everyone is trying, but it doesn't quite come together. Things improve a lot in the third act. Mat talks about Oscar categories and the Skynet gone real with Amazon drones. Thrasher has been enjoying the original Japanese version of Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. Mat also touches on his thoughts on Uwe Boll's BloodRayne trilogy.
