When the creators of Netflix's Devil May Cry described their vision as "part of the bootleg multiverse alongside Castlevania," they weren't just name-dropping – they were signaling their ambitious reimagining of a beloved franchise that walks the perfect line between honoring its roots and charting bold new territory. This eight-episode thrill ride follows Dante, a devil-hunter-for-hire who finds himself caught between government organization Dark Round Command and a demon-obsessed terrorist called White Rabbit. What begins as a straightforward monster-hunting mission evolves into something far more complex, raising questions about identity, humanity's fear of the unknown, and the blurry line between monsters and men.The series shines brightest through its stunning animation that balances traditional techniques with CGI for breathtaking fight sequences. Episode six stands out with its dual art styles, showcasing the creative team's willingness to push visual boundaries. Complementing the visuals, the soundtrack delivers a powerful punch with original compositions by Power Glove alongside licensed tracks from Limp Bizkit and Amy Lee that perfectly capture the millennial nostalgia at the heart of this adaptation.Voice talent elevates every scene, with Johnny Yong Bosch reprising his role as Dante and the late Kevin Conroy delivering a commanding performance as Vice President Baines. The series doesn't shy away from its video game origins, incorporating numerous Easter eggs that connect to both Devil May Cry and Resident Evil – acknowledging the fascinating development history where Devil May Cry began as a concept for a Resident Evil game before taking its own path.Whether you're a longtime fan or newcomer to Dante's world, this reimagined Devil May Cry delivers heart-pounding action, unexpected emotional depth, and a storyline that will leave you craving season two. In this episode, Frank and Squeaks cover an exciting lineup of fandom news and reviews. They start by sharing their latest geeky purchases, including a mystery dice set, and then dive into Netflix Geeked Week highlights, including Arcane Season 2 and the new Avatar live-action series. Frank gives a passionate review of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and finishes with their impressions of HBO's The Penguin series, which both hosts rate highly. Timestamps and Topics: 00:00 - Introduction: Geeky Purchases and Mystery Dice Set 03:05 - Netflix Geeked Week 14:45 - Review: Agatha All Along – Kathryn Hahn's Masterclass in Villainy 25:31 - The Penguin HBO Review: A Gritty Gotham Tale with Colin Farrell 41:26 - Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Review: The Full Gaming Package Key Takeaways: Arcane Season 2 will release in three parts starting November 9, continuing its epic storytelling and stunning animation. The casting of Toph in the live-action Avatar sparked discussions, with hopes that the actress captures the essence of the beloved character. The Devil May Cry anime brings back Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, thrilling long-time fans of the series. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is praised for its complete package, including both PvE and PvP modes, with deep character customization. HBO's The Penguin stands out as a gritty crime drama within the superhero genre, with strong performances, particularly from Colin Farrell. Memorable Quotes: "Agatha is still a villain, and it's refreshing to see her stay true to that. Not every character has to become an antihero." — Frank "Colin Farrell as Penguin—he just disappears into the role. It's like I'm watching a gangster flick, not a superhero show." — Squeaks "In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, it feels like you're painting your own Warhammer character as you customize every detail." — Frank Call to Action: If you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to subscribe and leave us a review! This week Mike, Rich and Steve tackle three new features and a new fan film... Kicking with HOT SEAT, in which Kevin Dillon is stuck on his chair by a mad bomber, while Mel Gibson has the unenviable task of trying to rescue him... CHARLES is a not-for-profit fan film which gives an alternative take on how Chucky came to be....click the link to watch the whole 1-hour feature! BRING HIM BACK DEAD finds Gary Daniels in a lead role up against Louis Mandylor in a plot which proves to be painfully familiar... GRAPHIC DESIGN is a British erotic thriller which provides a lot of graphic couplings but in today's age, is this kind of thing redundant? Funny enough there doesn't seem to be a trailer for this film at the moment! Our Short Shot is LIFE AFTER - this 30 min short does have a small cost ($2) but we feel it's worth checking out, so please click the link! Finally, our DTV Throwback is HELLBINDERS, starring Ray Park and Johnny Yong Bosch, in a comic-book style film from before the MCU showed how its done. Follow the homies Cam (Cameron Cox) and Dylan (Dylan Hernandez) two former AMC Theater employees as they take a nostalgic trip back in time to rewatch films that mean the most to them! This Podcast is set up so that listeners at home can watch the movies along with us and laugh along as we talk about whatever comes to mind! From pop-culture-related events to AMC theater work stories, hell even us just talking about our personal lives! The Movie we are discussing in this episode is, "Mighty Morphing Power Rangers The Movie" , with special Guests STEVEN GARCIA AND VICTOR OCASIO Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a 1995 American superhero film. It stars the ensemble cast of Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, Steve Cardenas, Jason David Frank, Amy Jo Johnson, and David Yost alongside the villains cast from the original series and Paul Freeman as Ivan Ooze. Much like the television season that followed the release, it used concepts from the Japanese Super Sentai series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. It is the first Power Rangersproduction from Saban Entertainment not to feature any archived footage from Super Sentai. It is the first installment in Power Rangers film series. The film was released in between the second and third seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but is incompatible with season three, which provides a different explanation for the Rangers gaining their Ninja Ranger powers and Ninjazords, indicating they are set in different continuities. In this episode, Mike and Rich look at two films which were well received at last year's Fightfest festival. First up is the Australian film, RELIC, in which an elderly woman's disappearance causes concern for her daughter. We follow that with the very fraught TAILGATE, a film from the Netherlands in which a man's road rage puts him and his family in mortal peril. Our short shot this week is ARK EXITUS, a new film from Johnny Yong Bosch. Normally we'd put a link to the whole film here but other than being available for a preview weekend, it has yet to resurface! Our DTV Throwback is a real curiosity - ICE CREAM MAN is a very grotesque and bizarre film which contains a couple of out there performances. The film is available on Amazon Prime, as is a RIFF TRAX version! Don't forget to check us out on FACEBOOK and TWITTER for updates on new releases and our weekly DTV Chart!

Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are back for another anniversary. This time it's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie for its 25th anniversary. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie hit theaters on June 30, 1995. It stars Jason David Frank, Steve Cardenas, Johnny Yong Bosch, David Yost, Karan Ashley, and Amy Jo Johnson as the Power Rangers, a superhero team of "teenagers with attitude." Facing off against the Rangers is Paul Freeman as Ivan Ooze, a supernatural tyrant who escapes his 6,000-year prison to wreak havoc on the city of Angel Grove. Adult critics dismissed the movie as a glorified toy commercial, but it still managed to make $66.4 million on a $15 million budget. Aaron and Josh take a look at the movie's plot, its characters, and the action. The two also discuss how the film relates to the TV show as well as future of the franchise on the big screen.

Trigun the anime was adapted from the manga by Madhouse Studios in 1998. This show has been a staple and a certified classic. Ethan and Rick talk over 3 amazing things and 2 not so amazing parts of the series. With its Western, Cowboy, Steam punk, Space, Alien genre its no wonder it was a hit. This is one of those shows that watching it dubbed will really do wonders for your experience. Johnny yong bosch turns in a truly seminal work of English voice acting to Japanese anime. The audience will really feel the emotion that Vash exudes and if you can put yourself in his shoes I'm sure you will feel the same way. Is Vash the only human natural disaster? Should he be worth 60 billion $$? Is he really such a bad guy? These are all questions you will ask yourself throughout the series.----------------------------------------- Socials ---------------------------------------Follow us on instagram for mid week updates and awesome Anime Memes!https://www.instagram.com/weebology.podcast/Check out our Youtube Channel for additional anime content or video podcasts episodes!https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVJBllbgYsuTrrG5IssngOg------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our theme song is:Dreams By Dj Quads https://youtu.be/iiRCmcP_jlcArtist SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/aka-dj-quadsMusic Promoted by https://goo.gl/5NfMV4Please check out his music and support this awesome artist!
