Born and raised by a touring musician mother, Cameron Wright was destined for a music career. By training under her mother, Cameron became known as a local sensation by age 11. They performed at all the local venues and recorded a demo, which was later heard by Stevie Wonder and led to performing a duet with him at a concert. After high school, Cameron moved in with their grandparents in St. Louis and instantly felt reconnected to their roots. Cameron started writing songs there, which played an intricate part in developing their sound today. By 2015, Cameron had built a strong social media presence and moved to L.A. for new musical opportunities. Within two months of moving to L.A., they booked major shows with artists such as the 1975 and later performed at Beyoncé's Beychella. In 2023, Cameron learned their grandmother was very ill, so they canceled all musical obligations to be in St. Louis with her. Two weeks later, she passed away from breast cancer. Through the grief, Cameron enhanced their relationship with their mom and is now back living in Minneapolis, thriving in the local music scene.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

"It's too far away and you have a lot of spiders and snakes and kangaroos," laughed Jonas Heidgert, vocalist for Swedens Dragonland when explaining why they have never graced our shores in their nineteen-year existence. "This show isn't going to be like anything we've ever done. We've never played as long of a set before. Everybody is ridiculously hyped about this so... To say that we're excited is a BIG understatement. I'm going to be in hyper mode so you will get long shows and a lot of songs and a big party!"In the full interview Jonas discusses his early vision for Dragonland and how it has changed over the years, the difficulties in breaking into the global music industry before the massive surge of the internet, his dual role as drummer and vocalist on the first two albums and why he threw the sticks away and concentrated on frontman duties, the changes he had to make without a drum kit to hide behind, how the band has changed musically over the course of their career and an insight into new music after a seven-year absence from the studio.

The untimely death of Vinny Paul is also discussed. Plus much more, including another brutal karaoke beat down! Muisic by Voivod and Pantera.
