No news or updates to be found this week, and this episode really reflects that fact. Brian forgot he unplugged his audio and tried to play Jeff's intro; Mark Twain really, really liked young girls; Jeff is liking Andy Taylor's book; Tony Thompson was great; the show is obsessed with the theme from “Alice”; the worse sentence you can think of; early morning farts; English muffins; sedation; Trump and Ozempic; Brian and the casino; the poor man's anal beads; the Kennedys aren't cursed; Jeff can't free associate; blowing a seal; banging horrible women; Brian thinks about shitting his pants on the way home; Linda Lavin as a singer; the Indy 500; Nerf gun difficulties; and finally, the last show.

In this fabulously full-bodied episode of G&T Sips and Giggles: One For The Road, Glenn and Tina Leggs Tantrum serve up a cheeky cocktail of queer culture, royal drama, national obsessions, and reality TV chaos.First, the pair sip their way through Mid-Century Modern – the new Hulu/Disney+ series hailed as a “spiritual cousin” to The Golden Girls, starring Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and the late Linda Lavin in her final screen role. Expect warm takes on chosen family, ageing in the LGBTQ+ community, and a whole lot of Palm Springs fabulousness.Next, it's time for a royal reckoning as they unpack Prince Harry's turbulent month — from his dramatic exit from the charity Sentebale to his ongoing battle over UK security and the diverging paths he and Meghan Markle seem to be taking. Then it's back to Blighty for some classic British banter about the weather. Why are we so obsessed? Is climate consciousness finally catching up with our endless moaning? And what even is in garden soil that boosts our mood? (Spoiler: it's not just the Pinot.)Finally, Tina and Glenn preview the glittering line-up for Celebrity Big Brother 2025 — from Mickey Rourke to JoJo Siwa — and ask whether this revamped series can live up to the chaos of its heyday. With a smaller house and live audience feedback on the cards, it's bound to be explosive.Tune in for nostalgia, nobility, and nasal spray – all in a tight forty-minute package. When Will & Grace premiered on NBC in 1998, it was groundbreaking because of the sheer lack of queer representation on network TV. Since then, numerous sitcoms have increased LGBTQ+ visibility on TV, but rarely gay characters of an older generation. To fill that void, those same Will & Grace creators, Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, developed Hulu's Mid-Century Modern to show that while a multi-camera sitcom with three gay male leads is rare, the stories they are telling are universal. Led by Nathan Lane's Bunny Schneiderman, Mid-Century Modern finds undergarment tycoon Bunny inviting his two best friends—Jerry (played by Matt Bomer) and Arthur (played by Nathan Lee Graham)—to move in with him and his mother, Sybil (played by Linda Lavin). It is after the passing of one of their mutual friends that Bunny opens up his Palm Springs home. Newsweek's H. Alan Scott chats with Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer and Nathan Lee Graham about Mid-Century Modern, how it came about, and why it's so important right now. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 98th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1701 to 1725 in my Classic Collection. A hilarious sketch from "The Catherine Tate Show" [https://bit.ly/3C2ynT0] touches off my Fuzzy Feature, the two-part 2009-2010 "Doctor Who" Christmas special, "The End of Time." In Cross Connections I highlight appearances by several actors in shows I cataloged in this set, including Amy Acker, Stan Lee, then with the pilot episode of "Parenthood," I encountered so many direct links throughout my media collection including Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, Craig T. Nelson and Mike O'Malley. Fond reflections on Andre Braugher, David Lynch and Linda Lavin, and with his appearance in "Psych," I highlighted actor Bruce Davison as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection, I chat about the 2010 White House Summit on Health Care Reform, and draw connections to "The West Wing" season seven episode "The Debate." Also, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary special, "Dollhouse," "Nip/Tuck" and Stephen Colbert highlighting Eduard Khil, "The Trololo Guy" [https://bit.ly/40dSaqE] in one of his episodes.  In What I've Been Watching, a friend of mine in Minot, Brent Braniff, put together a 20-minute Minneapolis travelogue called "Friends, Family and Waterfalls" [https://bit.ly/4g4lpSA] Also, comments on "Big Bear" (2017) and "Promising Young Woman" (2020). Finally, I was able to make some progress on my back catalog. Episodes 1 through 15 have been remastered and now deemed to be fit for human consumption. Enjoy!

Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all of your favorite fictional universes. The Merc with the Mouth and Logan have officially taken the title of highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, with Deadpool & Wolverine barely edging out 2019's Joker from that honor. As of this recording, the MCU romp has accumulated $1.14 billion. And while that's a tough ticket to beat, other late summer movies are tracking for big openings as well with Alien: Romulus debuting globally at more than $180 million and Tim Burton's sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, eyeing a potential $80 million opening - which would make it the biggest September opening of all time. Lucasfilm announced Tuesday that this year's new show The Acolyte will not receive a second season. The show was incredibly divisive among fans, though critically was well-received. Showrunner Leslye Headland had pitched ideas for a second season, but those will not come to fruition now. Sony Pictures released an extended look at their upcoming Spider-Man villain movie, Kraven the Hunter. The movie releases December 13 and has a star-studded cast featuring Russell Crowe and Ariana DeBose with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the Titular role,. The new promo provided a slightly longer look at the Rhino, played by Alessandro Nivola. It's the story that dominated the Marvel fandom last week - when Beau DeMayo claimed his credit will be removed from season two because he shared fan art for Gay Pride in June. DeMayo cited this as quote “...the latest in a troubling pattern I suffered through while working on #XMen97 and #Blade.” Marvel quickly released a statement, responding to DeMayo's claim that it was his behavior, called “egregious” in the statement, which was the cause of his loss of credit as well as his termination. Sources following these statements claimed that an agreement had been reached regarding social media around X-Men'97 and DeMayo breached that contract. Other sources claim DeMayo's termination was due to sexual misconduct, though no internal reviews have surfaced. Camila Mendes, who starred in the CW series Riverdale, will play Teela in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films' live-action take on Masters of the Universe and will star opposite Nicholas Galitzine, who is playing the role of He-Man. Marvel Comics announced a Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds one-shot that will bring the character from season two of What If? into comics. Writer-director David O. Russell has cast Nicolas Cage to star in the lead role for Madden, the Amazon MGM Studios drama about the life of NFL coaching and broadcasting legend John Madden. "Will & Grace" creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, with executive producer Ryan Murphy, are bringing Hulu a comedy about chosen family. Starring executive producers Nathan Lane and Matt Bomer as well as Nathan Lee Graham, and Linda Lavin, this series follows three gay best friends who, after an unexpected death, decide to embrace their golden years together in sun-soaked Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother. Apple TV+ has renewed Dark Matter, starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly, for a second season. Derek Connolly, a franchise writer with a resume that includes the Jurassic World movies, has been tapped to write a live-action adaptation of the Sega video game Eternal Champions for Skydance. Puck Magazine's Matt Belloni is reporting that Mattel, who had been shopping a Barbie animated film, has entered talks with Illumination to produce it and Warner Brothers and Greta Gerwig are reportedly “not thrilled” about it. Amazon's Prime Video has canceled My Lady Jane, the period drama which combined romance and alternate-world fantasy. The cancellation comes about seven weeks after Prime Video released all eight episodes of the show's first and now only season.

Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Billy Stritch, Renowned Music Director, Vocalist & Pianist About Harvey's guests: Today's guest, Billy Stritch, is a renowned composer, arranger, vocalist, and pianist extraordinaire who is both a highly sought-after music director and a star performer in his own right.   For 25 years he worked closely with Liza Minnelli as her music director, collaborator and accompanist.  He's also been the music director and arranger for many other great stars including Tony Bennett, Marilyn Maye, Linda Lavin, Linda Eder, Ann Hampton Callaway, and Christine Ebersole.    In addition, he's a wonderful songwriter.  He co-wrote the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning, number 1 hit song “Does He Love You” recorded in 1993 by Reba McEntire and Linda Davis.    As a solo entertainer, he performs sell-out shows in concert halls and nightclubs across the country, including his highly acclaimed tribute shows to Mel Tormé and Cy Coleman, as well as his spectacular show with Jim Caruso called “The Sinatra Century”.  During the pandemic, he was one of the first artists to start performing online, creating his own weekly live-stream show called “Billy's Place”, celebrating the Great American Songbook with songs and stories from his amazing career.    He's recorded numerous albums, and some of my favourites are “Jazz Live”, “Waters of March”, “Billy Stritch Sings Mel Tormé”, “The Sunday Set: Recorded Live at Birdland”, “Christmas at Birdland”, and “Billy's Place”, which is a collection of his favorite songs from those online shows I just mentioned.  He's also been prominently featured on at least a dozen other albums by music artists like Christine Ebersole, Jim Caruso, Benny Carter, Klea Blackhurst, and many more.   And if all that weren't enough, our guest is also a Broadway star.   He played the role of “Oscar” in the Tony Award winning 2001 Broadway revival of “42nd Street”.  And when he's not on tour, he can often be found dazzling New York audiences on Sunday nights at Bemelman's Bar at the Carlyle, and of course, every Monday night at Birdland, for Jim Caruso's Cast Party. For more interviews and podcasts go to: https://www.harveybrownstoneinterviews.com/ To see more about Billy Stritch, go to:http://billystritch.com/https://www.facebook.com/billystritchpro/https://www.instagram.com/billystritch/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPKEPvjXbWy_RQALL8KiLPghttps://open.spotify.com/artist/5BFCEjtWiORUGo96eKDbXi?autoplay=true #BillyStritch   #harveybrownstoneinterviews

Today we bring back Screenwriter and Comedian Mikey Montemayor and Legendary Playwright and Drag Artist Charles Busch, so here we go……. Mikey Montemayor: 1) If you could reboot any movie or television show and write for it, what would you resurrect? 2) You are on stages for comedy all the time, which would be your least favorite to be on stage for; Karaoke or a Danceoff 3) You're on a deserted island and can have only one comedy movie with you. And one Comedy Legend that you are stranded with What's your pick for each? 4) We have Lip Sync Battles, Who would you want to do a stand-up comedy battle, and why? And who do you think would win? 5) If your jokes were a vehicle, what type would they be? A speedy sports car, a leisurely bicycle, or perhaps a clown car? Charles Busch: 1. You have created so many of your own fantastic characters, Which Broadway play or musical character, past or present, do you secretly wish you had written or played in drag? 2. If aliens landed tomorrow and you had to introduce them to drag with one performance, which of yours would you choose to represent Earth? 3. Kathy Griffin is hosting Salons now with people you've worked with like Margaret Cho and Rosie O'Donnell, you have met, talked or worked with such amazing people from Anjelica Houston, to Linda Lavin, to Joan Rivers, who would you have loved seeing host one and who would you want to attend with? 4. Has there ever been a prop or costume piece that either went hilariously wrong on stage or that you've grown surprisingly attached to? 5. You've written this amazing book about your life, who's life story would you love to read about that maybe hasn't been written yet? What if we had a Patreon? That's what we're exploring this week as we continue to stand in solidarity with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. In lieu of a new actor interview we're book clubbing 1979's Norma Rae starring Sally Field, Beau Bridges, and Ron Leibman. Norma Rae is inspired by the real story of mill workers unionizing in rural North Carolina. We get into all the important parts: Ron Leibman being hot, Burt Reynolds advising Sally not to do the film, and the beautiful appearance of legendary character actress Grace Zabriskie in a small role. The film is a small quiet human story about the importance of labor unions and it felt like the right time to correct our blindspot and screen it. Also discussed this episode: the Debra Winger-Barbra Hershey led film A Dangerous Woman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Mandy Patinkin vs. Toni Collette. Reminisce along with the hosts about this episode wrought with emotional scenes and memorable lines. And, see the full-circle realization that involves a beanie, Anne Frank, and Linda Lavin (who plays The Nana), which blows their minds! The Nana Synopsis: It's Passover for the Cohens and this year, The Nana is coming to visit. The critical and scary woman they expect to show up is instead a much kinder, nicer, warmer Nana.
