SERIES 2 EPISODE 106: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: The obvious headline from Iowa last night: Trump romped, around 50%, with the reminder that if it were Biden only getting 50% in the first primary the Democrats would be considered dead in the water. The real headline from Iowa: Trump mused, in that skillfully ambitious way of his, about being in charge for "four years and beyond" and he can deny he meant refusing to leave office in 2029 but of course all he's TALKED about since 2017 was how he deserved more than two terms or more than eight years or more than the constitution allows. And the NEXT headline out of Iowa is the missing ingredient in the implausibly tight race between a psychotic dictator with dementia and a gifted dedicated president: the report that internal Biden research and polling says three out of four undecided voters really DON'T believe Trump will be the nominee and will have an "oh shit" moment. Plus: Marjorie Barney Rubble Greene thinks President Biden can communicate with the dead by phone. B-Block (26:08) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Rep. Barry "Your Tour Guide" Loudermilk makes a huge mistake. He wants to investigate Cassidy Hutchinson. And the Baltimore Sun is sold to a fascist and a one-time columnist who took a quarter of million in bribes from the Bush Administration. (30:50) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: When the NFL playoff game in Buffalo was postponed by snow, the Outkick The Coverage idiot whined that they didn't postpone D-Day because of bad weather - except of course they did. Plus Billo is back in the list. And Laura Loomer underscores the fundamental stupidity of the right. They don't believe in man-made climate change but they DO believe that Biden has a machine to manipulate the weather. C-Block (37:05) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: A silly story about ESPN fudging nomination lists for the Emmy Awards (Erin Andrews became "Erik Andrews," etc., to allow ineligible talent to get trophies) ignores the real problem: the hosts of Emmy winning shows were ineligible to GET Emmys because the producers who ran the Emmys thought the talent had enough good stuff as it was. It flashed me back to a memorable conversation with Gil Stratton, an actor and sportscaster who insisted that every producer and executive he ever met was a bigger prima donna than an old colleague of his named Judy Garland.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Your intuition is something that's already in you. All it takes is for you to develop your connection to it, so you can make more powerful and aligned decisions. But accessing your intuition also means accepting that you won't be perfectly in tune all the time and challenges will still happen. But this doesn't make your intuition less powerful. What matters is how connected you can be through the ups and downs of life. Psychic medium and author Marilyn Alauria joins us to talk about how you can access your intuition with your physical senses and befriend it to guide you through life. Tune in to this episode: How To Use Your Intuition To Make Powerful Decisions with Marilyn Alauria Key points covered in this episode: ✔️ Notice how you feel before you do something. Have you ever had a weird gut feeling before going to that party or answering that email, and once you did, something bad happened? That's your intuition teaching you to honor yourself and listen when these feelings come up. ✔️ Promise to trust for 30 days. Do this exercise if you're struggling to surrender. Take in all the information your intuition gives you and see how it plays out. Keep an evidence journal to record good things that happened. ✔️ Your body is the instrument of your intuition. Summon up a pleasant and an unpleasant memory and associate a color for each. Pay attention if any of those colors show up for you before you make a decision. You can also observe where in your body these feelings are showing up. ✔️ Following your intuition doesn't mean you're immune to hard experiences. Shift your mindset: Everything in life happens FOR you. Hard times have something greater waiting for you on the other side. ✔️ The universe sometimes puts you on an active pause for a reason. Your life isn't on hold, you're being prepared for your desires to manifest. Marilyn Alauria is a gifted psychic medium, teacher, and author of the book, “Guides: Mystical Connections with Soul Guides and Divine Teachers.” She has an unmatched capacity to ignite deep, soul-level transformation for her clients around the world. If you've ever watched the Olympics, gone to a Major League game, or even turned on your Xbox, chances are you've seen our guest's great work. On this episode of Christopher Lochhead: Follow Your Different, we have a dialogue with Audrey Arbeeny, the Category Queen of Sonic Branding. Audrey Arbeeny presented the discipline of Sonic Branding, way back in 1993 at the Design Management Institute in Amsterdam. Now that Sonic Branding has exploded, particularly as digital products have, it has been become a giant category across all kinds of areas marketing, branding, product design, and experience design in the arts world and the film to entertainment world. So if you are interested about Sonic Branding, and how it blitzed through the competition, stay tuned to this episode. Audrey Arbeeny on Sonic Branding The conversation starts off with defining what Sonic Branding is. Audrey has this to say on the matter: “I believe what you're doing is the same thing as when we did the original Major League Soccer, Anthem, and we do our Sonic Branding. The deputy commissioner in the interview said, he heard from player after player that when they heard that song, it put them in the right frame of mind it put them in a place that they wanted to be in, and it prepared them to get ready for the game. I have certain songs I play also, when I need to get in a certain frame of mind. And that's what Sonic Branding is. You want to get to that emotional center of the brain that triggers play.” – Audrey Arbeeny Biomusicology If you're wondering if there is a word for that, yes there is. It's called Biomusicology, and it covers how sounds and music can affect our brain and biology. Sometimes, music can even evoke physical reactions from us, as seen in the revelry in anthems, or that welling feeling you might get while listening to an orchestra. “We're a vibratory system. And that's what it is. And from as early as time as you could remember, that's what sound did. It connected people. It communicated and it made people feel, feel physically emotionally connected.” – Audrey Arbeeny Audio Brain Advocates for Health and Well-being Audrey shares a personal experience where music and hearing familiar sounds in someone's vicinity had helped people ease their pain and their well-being. So while Sonic Branding is being used on all these global brands, Audrey also hopes to advocate the use of music and different sounds to promote health and well-being to everyone. “Yes, we do all these global brands? We've been music supervisors for 10 Olympics for NBC Olympics. That's 25 years. Yes, we've done great things like that. But we've also done a lot in health care. And I've done a lot of research in health and well-being. And I've worked with kids that were deaf and blind, and done music therapy with them. Because when you're in that situation, nobody really takes the time to make sure you're enjoying that meal and spends a lot of time they have a lot of kids to take care of. So that's my North Star. That's my passion point. And audio brain has done a lot of a lot of pro bono work in that area.” – Audrey Arbeeny To hear more from Audrey Arbeeny, Sonic Branding, and how music can help your well-being, download and listen to this episode.
