It may not make the New England Journal of Medicine but we have found a cure for the college basketball doldrums... the Missouri Tigers. Let's call them the Fast and Furious as they are must watch material popping #4 Alabama scoring 110 points. Mizzou and Auburn are the most fun teams in America to watch. I don't care how it happened I'm just glad it did. According to my sources, Chiefs President Mark Donovan is all in on a shiny new stadium at the Legends in KCK where KC can host a Super Bowl. His one last hurdle is to convince owner Clark Hunt its the best thing to do. We'll share the one hurdle Donovan has to clear to get it done. Team USA Hockey is ready to rock Thursday night against Canada... this time on American ice in Boston. I've got one request from the fans. Trump says he wants to take over Washington DC and federalize it. Trump says it's embarrassing for visiting world leaders to see what its become. The new commerce secretary is a shot of adrenaline and is fired up for how quickly he believes Trump's policies will turn around the economy and bring down interest rates. Tony Botello of www.tonyskansascity.com pens a thoughtful piece about the final years of Andrew Lester's life. Lester was the scared old man that shot the kid on his porch a couple years ago, pleaded guilty to assault just days ago and then died on Wednesday. So sad. A former NFL kicker misses wide left in front of a fully right city council in our new favorite community in LA and what is "fowling?" I wanna play.

Host of “The Will Cain Show” Will Cain discuses the importance of a recent executive order President Trump signed regarding transgender people and the military. Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro checks in to preview the big championship game between the U.S. and Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins clears up some misleading media reports about what's happening with veterans' healthcare benefits. PLUS, host of Outkick's “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless” Tomi Lahren explains why she believes it's well past time to stop sending more money to Ukraine. In this episode of TST, we talk to Jim Johnson, a high school basketball coach with experience in winless seasons, multiple championship teams, and some of his players that have made it to the NBA. Every game has historical moments where a player or players are so in the zone that they perform amazing feats. Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger's sack for Notre Dame, Team USA Hockey winning Olympic Gold in 1980, baseball's Ron Necciai throwing a nine-inning no-hitter with 27 strikeouts, and basketball's Wilt Chamberland's 100 point game. Coach Johnson created a special moment like Coach Devine for Rudy, he made J-Mac's dream come true when he put him in his first basketball game. What happened in the last few minutes of that final game which honored seniors was nothing less than a miracle. More About Coach Jim Johnson www.coachjimjohnson.com Follow on Facebook Instagram Follow on Twitter Connect on LinkedIn On Feb. 15, 2006, Coach Johnson made the kindhearted gesture of inserting his autistic manager, Jason McElwain, now known to the world as J-Mac into Greece Athena High School's final home game, which the Trojans won 79-43. J-Mac scored 20 points in just over four minutes, including six three-point baskets, to become an instant national celebrity. Coach Johnson, also, was featured in major news outlets around the country. To make the Hollywood ending complete, Greece Athena captured the first Section V title of Coach Johnson's career a few weeks later. A second sectional crown followed in 2007, and Coach Johnson then coached the Trojans to their third straight league title in 2008 by posting a perfect 12-0 record in league play, netting Coach of the Year honors. Coach Johnson has made a number of radio and television appearances, including the Oprah Winfrey and Jim Rome shows. In 2006 he met President George W. Bush, Governor George Pataki, and Senator Hillary Clinton, to name just a few luminaries. The Athena team was also paid a visit at school by NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson. J-Mac's magic moment won the ESPY for “Best Sports Moment” at the ESPN awards show later that year. In this episode, we cover the powerhouse women of hockey. How do you get US National team players to sit down for an interview during their busiest time of year? Meet them in their training facility for a post-scrimmage locker room chat. Kendall Coyne Schofield, Hilary Knight and Lee Stecklein talked about their bond as a team, how winning an Olympic gold helped the growth of hockey, and what are their must-have travel items. Then Kathryn catches up with Heidi Browning, CMO of the NHL about how important the fans are to the game, how she manages her travel schedule and where she finds her balance.
"I knew what we were fighting for was way bigger than us...and transcended our sport." Hilary Knight is the top women's hockey player on the planet. She's a multiple-time Olympian, 7-time gold medal winner of the Ice Hockey World Championships, all-time career point scorer and 2-time National Champion at Wisconsin. She has sponsorship deals with Nike, Red Bull, Visa, GoPro, and more. She's even practiced with the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, telling us "cracking a roster spot is next on the list." As impressive as she is on the ice, she's also highly marketable. However, her most impressive quality is her cumulating approach to impacting women's sports and giving back to the next generation of female athletes. In 2016, Knight and her teammates protested USA Hockey, demanding an equal compensation, accommodation, and marketing allocation to their male counterparts. They threatened to hold out of the 2016 Ice Hockey World Championships and the subsequent Olympic Games if they weren't treated equitably. Find out what happened next on this week's episode. I’m your host Paul Rabil and welcome to “Suiting Up Podcast,” a show where I delve into the stories of some of today’s leading athletes, entrepreneurs, and entertainers, interviewing them and unpacking the psychology of their success.
