He has composed five music scores for short films as well as contributing original music to Amos Poe's innovative film, ‘Empire II'. He recently completed a score for his first feature called, 'The Rhythm in Blue'. I've been working a lot on rugs recently through very late nights and while working, I fell into a rabbit hole of Kanye West's Sunday Service Choir material -- I've probably watched all the performances they've done in their 10 months of touring. The great thing about each concert they do on tour is that each show is different and they add new songs to their setlist consistently. The Sunday Service Choir is led by Jason White, a veteran in the gospel music space and a lot of these songs are rewritten in a Christian/gospel lens by Nikki Grier, transforming songs by Roddy Ricch, Destiny's Child, SWV, and a lot more. When you are as good as Nikki Grier, it’s only right that you struggle to make it in the business, otherwise the story is less interesting and Nikki’s story is like a page turning New York Times best seller drenched in heartfelt soul.  Born and raised in the Los Angeles area to God fearing parents, Nikki spent more time in Church than she did any place else.
