A journey through the deeper side of soulful house, where timeless voices, uplifting melodies, and warm grooves come together under one roof. This selection brings together some of the finest names in the genre, from the unmistakable soul of Black Coffee, Miguel Migs, Mousse T., DJ Spen, Sean McCabe, Brian Tappert, Cafe 432, The Shapeshifters, and Sam Ruffillo, alongside legendary vocalists including Evelyn “Champagne” King, Kim English, Monique Bingham, Angela Johnson, Terry Dexter, and Rona Ray. Expect moments of pure musical sunshine as classics are reimagined, dancefloor anthems are given new life, and soulful vocals float effortlessly across deep, uplifting rhythms. From the emotional pull of “Open My Heart” and “Love Come Down” to the uplifting energy of “Supernatural,” “Close Your Eyes,” and “Solid Ground,” every record has been chosen to create a feeling rather than simply fill a dancefloor. Threaded throughout the mix are a collection of original productions from The Funk Assassin — “Blue Moon Beach,” “Blue Moonlit River,” “Blue Moonlight In My Soul,” “Balearic Blue Moon,” and the closing track “Carry You Home.” These original pieces serve as the heart of the journey, inspired by sunset coastlines, moonlit reflections, Balearic escapism, and the soulful house records that have shaped dancefloors for decades. This is music for open-air terraces, late-night conversations, sunrise moments, and anyone who still believes house music should move both your feet and your soul. TRACK LIST: 1. Despite tariffs, EV disruption and supply chain pressure, supplier relationships improved across all six major North American OEMs for the first time in 26 years. Dr. Angela Johnson explains what changed — and why communication and trust are becoming critical competitive advantages.
For the first time in 26 years of the Working Relations Index, every single North American OEM moved up the chart. Ford, Toyota, Stellantis, Honda, GM, and Nissan all scored higher than the year before. That has never happened. Not once.In this special episode, Jan sits down with Dr. Angela Johnson, principal at Plante Moran responsible for the WRI, along with Sig Huber, Chief Commercial Officer of Elm Analytics and former supplier risk leader at Toyota and Fiat Chrysler. Three sharp voices. One story the industry needs to hear.Tariffs. EV cost recovery. Permacrisis fatigue. Return-to-office mandates. Four undercurrents shaped this year's results, and they all point to the same place. When OEMs can't control the macro, they lean into what they can control. Communication. Accessibility. Buyer responsiveness. Taking the meeting. Listening. Acting. That's what moved the needle, and the suppliers noticed.Ford's 32-point jump is the second-largest gain in WRI history, and Liz Door led that charge from the top. Stellantis is showing the early signs of a real turnaround under Filosa. GM's still working through cultural inertia, but the relationship side keeps moving in the right direction. And Toyota and Honda aren't slowing down.Angela also unpacks her new 6C framework. It's the bridge between transactional and relational. Commercial fairness, consistency, clear expectations, communication, continuity, and collaboration. It's the structure the industry's been missing. But here's the harder truth. The next 18 to 24 months will test every relationship in this industry. Cost of goods sold is climbing. Supplier financial distress is creeping back. Cross-functional alignment inside the OEMs is slipping. The playbook's changing. The question isn't whether we can do this together. It's whether we will. Here's the link to the WRI 2026 StudyThemes Discussed in this EpisodeFirst-time-ever WRI result: all six OEMs scored upPermacrisis fatigue and the shift toward collaborationTariffs, EV cost recovery, and commercial fairnessThe 6C framework: bridging transactional and relationalFord's record-setting jump and Liz Door's leadershipStellantis's rebound under FilosaGM's ongoing culture changeTop 50 suppliers, organizational memory, and cultural inertiaReturn-to-office mandates and buyer performanceCross-functional decline inside the OEMsFrom cost reduction to resilience: the playbook is changing

Send us Fan MailI'll be honest, this episode is deeply personal for me. In 2024 I went through a period where I genuinely couldn't figure out what was happening to my body. Memory fog. Digestion issues. No sleep. Some days it was hard to work because my eyeballs hurt. Literally. And I kept pushing through because that's what we do — until I couldn't anymore. And we get into all of that and more in this episode with Angela Johnson, CEO of sanoLiving, a women's digital health platform reimagining midlife care for female leaders. If you're waking up at 3am these days, you're going to want to hear this one (and I'll venture that you're going to want a coffee to go with it too! ☕)✨ Episode Highlights

A Year In Music : 2026 - Dawn❤️Well Hello Again. It's been a while. It feels like the right time! Here comes 6 podcasts full of the music I have listened to & loved over this last year. Full of all of my favourite pop & dance track I listened to in 2025 till now. This first one is a bit of a rollercoaster , going from Deep House to Funky House, and back. These 20 tracks are quiet personal, they resonate with me by the melody or some of the lyrics , but mostly how they made me feel at the beginning of 2025. Some have been added over the year to make it what it is today. A added an updated version of Insomnia, one of my sisters favourite tracks. Once again, I hope you enjoy listening to this one as much as I do now. I hope it makes you smile, dance, sing as it does me. I will publish 5 more, one a week until my retrospective music journey has ended. Then on to something new ? We shall see. Thanks again. Happy listening. ❤️In loving memory of my beautiful sister,Dawn❤️TRACK LIST1 Grounds for Hope NOTSOBAD 3:052 Love Is The Only Thing Lost Frequencies 2:513 Wanna Be Somewhere with You Rules 3:414 Lifetime (feat. Today's episode takes its root in episode 36: So What Happens After Your Home Birth? - where we chatted about an article from Romper.com by the lovely Angela Johnson, who now joins us for this conversation! The article, titled 7 Things That Happen After You Give Birth At Home breaks down some of the “what to expect” as you might guess, after a home birth! Angela is speaking from experience, having birthed her second child, son Aden, at home in New York City. Angela really dove into her craft of writing while pregnant with her first child, daughter Hannah, and she was on 5 months of bed rest! Due to being labeled with an “incompetent cervix,” Angela had an unpleasant first birthing experience. So she determined that she would have something different the next time around. She and her husband Dean planned for home birth and had a much different journey. For one, she was induced with her first birth at 36 weeks. Second time around, she went until 42 weeks! And they opted for more natural induction like using caster oil and orange juice. Angela describes the process as climbing up a mountain, something we can definitely relate to. The story of Aden's birth, along with Angela's perspective and way of sharing, is really a treat. We love getting to know moms like her. So be sure to go check out all of her articles on Romper.com after you listen to the episode! Here's what we cover in this episode: Angela's shift from a challenging hospital birth to a powerful home birth experience Why the label “incompetent cervix” almost stole her joy, and how her care team helped her reclaim it Navigating fear, finances, and family opinions while planning a home birth The castor oil and orange juice cocktail that finally kicked labor into gear at 42 weeks How Angela turned her one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment into a cozy birth oasis How Angela's experience inspired her writing, her work at Romper, and her mission to uplift moms with real, shame-free stories Connect With Us Website: https://diahpodcast.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@diahpodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doingitathome/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/diahpodcast TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@doingitathome Merch: https://doingitathome.dashery.com/ Our Book: https://amzn.to/45Sxyr1 Support DIAH: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=KA3QQRRU58VPL Check Out Our Partners: Needed: https://needed.sjv.io/XY3903 - use code DIAH to get 20% off your first, one-time order Learn more about your ad choices. At the heart of The Prophets' vision are “The 24 Essential Supply Chain Processes.” What are they? Find out, and see the future yourself. Click here Sometimes the best insights come from looking back.In this special episode of Auto Supply Chain Prophets, hosts Jan Griffiths, Terry Onica, and James Liegghio break from their usual guest format to reflect on the year's most impactful episodes. Each shares the moments and lessons that resonated most with them and why they matter as the industry faces more pressure, complexity, and change.Terry highlights her favorite episode with Achim Gatternig from Magna, whose perspective on supplier disruptions, tariffs, and supplier scorecards stood out. The reminder that Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is no longer optional was a clear call to action—and a practical one.Jim brings up his pick, the episode with Angela Johnson from Plante Moran. Angela's background in anthropology gave her a unique way of explaining the WRI (Working Relations Index). For Jim, the message was clear: Supply chain is about people, and relationships at every level still matter more than we think.Jan's pick? The live podcast recorded at the AIAG Supply Chain Conference. For her, that episode captured the real energy of the event. The episode featured various voices, and the diversity of backgrounds and perspectives came through naturally, without trying. And for Jan, that's where podcasting shines best. Then there was Guillermo from Magna. His episode went beyond operations. He talked about mental health. He shared his own experience. And it hit hard, because not enough people in this industry talk about it.The hosts gave credit to Magna for creating space for that kind of honesty and agreed that emotional well-being needs to be part of the leadership conversation, especially for the next generation. Across all these moments, one thing is clear: Tools and systems help. But what really moves the needle is how we lead, communicate, and show up for the people behind the process. To wrap it up, the hosts want to hear from you. Which episode stuck with you, and why? With more events and more voices coming soon, this conversation is just getting started.Featured on this episode: Name: Jan GriffithsTitle: President and Founder, Gravitas Detroit About: Jan is the architect of cultural change in the automotive industry. At the heart of The Prophets' vision are “The 24 Essential Supply Chain Processes.” What are they? Find out, and see the future yourself. Click here What does it take to build trust between OEMs and suppliers — and why does it matter now more than ever?Dr. Angela Johnson, partner at Plante Moran and the new owner of the Working Relations Index (WRI), joins the show to walk us through the 2025 results and what they reveal about the automotive industry's most critical, and often overlooked, business relationships. This year's survey shows the biggest gap between the top and bottom OEMs since 2007. Toyota, Honda, and GM improved their scores, while Stellantis, Ford, and Nissan declined, widening the divide. Angela explains that this shift wasn't because the bottom three necessarily got worse, but because the top three pulled ahead by leveraging long-standing relationships and adopting collaborative practices when it mattered most.Internal alignment was another differentiator. Toyota, Honda, and GM worked across functions — purchasing, engineering, quality — while others struggled with silos and regional disconnects that left suppliers frustrated and confused.Culture came up again and again. Angela introduces the concept of “embedded behaviors” — leadership habits that trace back to a person's first real boss. These behaviors stick, often for decades, and shape how companies interact with suppliers today. In GM's case, even with ongoing issues like engineering changes and volume swings, suppliers recognized effort. They saw transparency, and it made all the difference. Then there's Ford. The team made a well-intentioned decision to outsource parts of purchasing to India, but didn't account for how it would affect supplier communication. It created more confusion than clarity, and it showed up in their WRI scores. One thing's clear: good relationships drive real results. Angela shares how WRI scores have a measurable connection to financial performance, especially for OEMs like Toyota, where strong supplier ties align closely with same-year earnings. The takeaway? It's not just about KPIs. It's how people behave. If you want better results, measure relationships and take them seriously.Whether you're a global OEM or a small supplier, the fundamentals are the same: communicate, treat people with respect, and stop thinking of relationships as the “soft stuff.”Because in this industry, they're anything but.Themes discussed in this episode:The widening trust gap between top and bottom OEMs in the 2025 WRI resultsHow strong supplier relationships directly impact financial performanceWhy responsiveness, communication, and basic “enabling behaviors” still matter mostHow internal silos and regional misalignment weaken supplier trustHow leadership behaviors are passed down across generations in the industryWhy measuring relationships—not just KPIs—is critical to long-term successThe hidden risks of outsourcing without proper communication planningThe cultural habits OEMs fall back on during times of stressFeatured on this episode: Name: Dr. Angela JohnsonTitle: Supplier Relations Analytics Principal at Plante MoranAbout: Dr. Angela leads supplier relations analytics at Plante Moran, where she manages the Working Relations Index® survey and

Toyota, Honda, and GM continue to rise, while Ford and Stellantis slide further down. The gap between the top and bottom OEMs? The largest since 2008.Jan brings together Dave Andrea and Dr. Angela Johnson from Plante Moran, along with returning guest Sig Huber, to explain what's behind the scores and what they mean for supplier relationships in today's automotive world.Toyota didn't just maintain its lead; it widened it. The difference? Consistency, buyer accessibility, and a move to streamline supplier systems into a single platform. Suppliers asked for more visibility, and Toyota delivered.GM, after several senior leadership changes, continues to show steady progress. A renewed focus on transparency, buyer empowerment, and cross-functional alignment is changing how suppliers experience the company. And it's working. On the other hand, Ford's story is death by a thousand cuts. There was no single failure—just a build-up of delays, unclear communications, and internal silos that made it hard for suppliers to get what they needed.Stellantis, still at the bottom, might be in the early stages of a turnaround. Leaders like Marlo Vitous and Antonio Filosa are more visible, engaged, and pushing for change, and suppliers are noticing. One of the biggest takeaways? Empowerment at the buyer level. Toyota's edge comes from enabling people on the ground to make decisions. GM is starting to adopt that mindset. Ford and Stellantis are still catching up. Suppliers want faster answers, stronger advocacy, and relationships built on trust—not red tape. And yes—getting buyers back in the office made a difference, too. Suppliers responded positively to buyers being on-site and re-engaging face-to-face. One team even linked their score improvement directly to getting buyers back in three days a week. They end the episode with a reminder of why the WRI matters. Good supplier relationships lead to better outcomes. In the top 3 OEMs, there's a same-year correlation between WRI scores and financial results. The message to OEMs is that relationships drive performance, and the numbers prove it.Themes discussed in this episode:Understanding the significance of the Automotive OEM-Supplier Working Relations Index (WRI) Study as a tool for assessing industry performance and supplier relationsThe growing gap between top and bottom OEMs in supplier trust, with the widest WRI spread since 2008The influence of leadership changes, such as Vice Presidents of Purchasing, on supplier relations and organizational performanceHow unpredictability and organizational complexity continue to hurt Stellantis' supplier relationsHow Toyota's long-term mindset and consistent buyer behavior keep it on top of supplier rankingsThe importance of trust and collaboration between OEMs and suppliers in navigating future challengesThe direct impact of empowered buyers on supplier trust and decision-making speedThe proven connection between high WRI scores and same-year OEM financial performanceFeatured guest: Dave AndreaWhat he does: Dave Andrea is a principal at

Episode 119- Join host Troy Saunders as he welcomes, singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, composer, musician, entrepreneur and all around beautiful person, the incomparable Angela Johnson.Troy and Angela start the conversation reminiscing about the start of her career with the unforgettable neo soul band, Cooly's Hot-Box. Angela tells Troy how attending college at SUNY Purchase NY, opened her mind to so many new experiences. Angela is originally from a much smaller town called Utica in upstate NY and college life near the big city was initially a culture shock for her; but it was also where she found her true passion in music. It is also where she met Christian Urich and Cooly's Hot-Box was formed.Angela then explains the need to start a solo career, and some of the thought process in making that decision. Then bringing it to life with much success. Of course by this time in the conversation Troy has played a couple of his favorites from the Cooly's Hot-Box era and Angela's first solo album "They Don't Know". Troy then dives into one of his favorite albums by her "A Women's Touch Vol. 1". They laugh on the fact that it has been 16 years and Vol. 2 still hasn't come out. Angela explains why. They share their mutual admiration for the legendary artist, Maysa and then Troy plays "More Than You Know" from the album that featured Maysa's soul stirring lead vocals.Troy and Angela then discuss her award winning album "It's Personal" with its equally popular single "All In Me" featuring the unstoppable Darien Dean. After pondering on which version to play; Troy decided that the house version was his favorite and gave the audience at sample of this mix. This is definitely one that will make you want to get up and dance. Since they were in the dancing mood, Troy and Angela kept the energy going with their discussion about her latest album, "Best Of Both Worlds" with Swedish producer Opolopo, due to be released on October 25, 2024. Angela told how the project came about and her excitement on its release. Troy was over the moon to hear that it would be available on vinyl. The played the single "Possibilities" and a funky instrumental called "Buffalo".We also hear about Angela's other new musical endeavors and how she doesn't have any plans on slowing down anytime soon.Troy knows how to make a guest feel comfortable. The future of fashion is small, ethical, and circular. The problem right now? Big businesses control the supply chain, making it really hard for small brands and designers to succeed. FABRIC is working to change that by building a fully circular supply chain here in the United States, powered by many, many small businesses. In this episode, Amanda is joined by Angela Johnson, co-founder of FABRIC. This episode discusses the following:Angela's experiences as a designer, both at the beginning of her career, and as she started her own brand. We'll get a little nostalgic with some conversation about her time working at X-Girl, an iconic 90s brand founded by Kim Gordon (of Sonic Youth) and Daisy von Furth. And oh yeah, we're also going to talk about Days of Our Lives.Angela will explain how everything she learned working in the garment industry in LA (along with her loyalty to her home state of Arizona) led her to create a fashion incubator in Tempe, Arizona. We will also hear more about the vision for the Eco Parc, a fully circular fashion manufacturing hub and what it will take to bring that to life. And we will round that all out by talking about how important it is to keep up this work, even on the days when it is really hard.Find FABRIC on IG: @fabrictempeAnd HEY! Triggers are a gift. Yes, you heard that right (and if you've been here for a while, you've heard me say it before) – I LOVE being triggered! That's not to say it's fun being triggered, but working with triggers has led to some of the most transformational moments of my life. See, triggers reveal unknown, unconscious beliefs we hold about ourselves – limiting beliefs that cause us pain and hold back in life. When these beliefs rise to the surface in the form of a trigger, we get the beautiful opportunity to work with them and transform them…not only healing the trigger but helping us get unstuck and change our lives. One of my Adult Chair® Coaches, Angela, recently had an experience working with a trigger that was so transformational that even she has jumped on the “triggers are a gift” bandwagon. A tiff with her husband led to a HUGE moment of self-discovery and deeper connection in their relationship, thanks to the trigger tools Angela learned through The Adult Chair®. I was so proud of the work she did that I invited her to come on the show and share exactly how she took ownership of the trigger (instead of blaming her husband) and then worked with the trigger to discover and heal the surprising belief underneath it — one she would have never recognized without the trigger Listen to discover: How Angela used The Adult Chair (TAC) to work through a trigger and repair a relationship The surprising root of Angela's trigger that she was able to uncover How TAC has completely changed the way Angela responds when triggered Why triggers are the gateway to freedom How triggers work through the lens of the Child, Adolescent and Adult Chairs Steps for working through a trigger Why doing our work and healing can make us less vulnerable to triggers When we work on our triggers, it is true freedom. We not only heal the limiting beliefs that hold us back but also find that we get triggered less with time. This is one of my favorite conversations because it shows this work in action and breaks it down for you in a powerful way. You will discover exactly how triggers work through the lens of The Adult Chair, how to stay regulated and grounded next time you're triggered and steps to work through and heal your triggers for good. “When we work with ourselves and work on our own healing of our old wounds…it affects so many people around us.” - Michelle Chalfant "Like you said, triggers are a gift. You say it. I don't want it to be true. But I'm learning that it is." - Angela Johnson "[Triggers] are a gift...You will learn something about a part of you that's been buried for a very long time. And it is an opportunity to look at that and actually transform and bring that part into the light, and then it doesn't trigger you anymore." - Michelle Chalfant "What we don't understand about this work sometimes, because it feels scary, is that on the other side of it is freedom." - Angela Johnson "I've lived in that space of letting [triggers] disrupt my life and relationships for long enough that I just don't want to live that way anymore." - Angela Johnson "When we're in our Adult Chair...we remember that life is a choice, and everything in life is a choice. And we get to choose, "Do I want to stay in victim seat?" or, "Do I want to reach over and be in my empowerment seat?'" - Michelle Chalfant "Our perspective when we're triggered shrinks way down...what we want to do is broaden your perspective, and then you have all these different choices and options." - Michelle Chalfant "In the Adult, we live in the moment. We don't drag things from the past into the moment." - Michelle Chalfant "Freedom is not a quick little pill. It does take a little bit of work. But it's long lasting. This is not a band-aid approach." - Michelle Chalfant "You don't get activated the same way after you do that work. That's the miracle." - Angela Johnson LINKS & RESOURCES Angela Johnson Website https://openhandscoaching.com/ Use code TRIGGER for $25 off a session Find an Adult Chair® Coach https://theadultchair.com/coaches/ Join the 30-Day Journaling Challenge https://theadultchair.com/30days Tanasi https://tanasi.com/ Code ADULT to get 25% off your first order MORE ADULT CHAIR The Adult Chair® Website https://theadultchair.com The Adult Chair® Events https://theadultchair.com/events/ The Adult Chair® Coaching Certification - Join the 2024 Waitlist! https://theadultchair.com/certification STAY CONNECTED Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/themichellechalfant Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheMichelleChalfant/ The Adult Chair® Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theadultchair/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/Michellechalfant
