We are approaching half time of Season 5 of The No Stress Midwest Podcast and we are lucky enough to be joined by USL1 Forward Madison Assistant Coach, John Pascarella Sr. ! JP and I were connected through a Season 1 podcast guest, Darrin MacLeod during his time as an assistant coach with Minnesota United. Since then we were able to meet in person during his tenure as the head coach of OKC Energy of the USL Championship. I knew that JP would be a great guest as he brings with him a wealth of knowledge & experience with him coaching at all professional levels and playing at similar levels as well. I also have to mention that JP is a South Jersey guy and although our times there did not overlap, we have some unsaid understandings that make the conversation more of a casual catch-up than a recorded podcast. Hope you enjoy our convo and able to take away some great points as I was able to.Follow our social media to stay in the loop on upcoming guest!IG: @NoStressMidwestTwitter: @NoStressMidwestFacebook: No Stress MidwestSpotify: No Stress Midwest PodcastYoutube: No Stress MidwestApple: No Stress Midwest Podcastwww.nostressmidwest.com/podcast

It's a busy weekend of football, with Vancouver Whitecaps MLS, USL, and Residency teams all in action in crucial matches. After a long stint at home, the 'Caps first team are back on their travels, heading to expansion side Minnesota United for the very first time. It's rivalry week, so I guess we can call this one the Røvde Derby, as adding a bit of spice to the tie is United's goalkeeper coach Marius Røvde, who left Vancouver after five and a half years to head to Minny. We chat with Marius [at 05:16] about his time in Vancouver, what prompted the move, Minnesota's start to the season, their danger men, and ask, does he know all of David Ousted's weaknesses?! The MLS guys may be on the road, but the USL team is at home, taking on OKC Energy on Saturday afternoon. And they'll have a new face in the line-up, New Zealand striker Myer Bevan. We catch up with Myer [25:59] to chat about what brought him to Vancouver, his time in the Nike Academy in England, and his recent experience at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Korea. A winless weekend for the Whitecaps, but fear not, the AFTN podcast is here to try and take your mind off things. Although talking about the things probably doesn't quite do that. Hmmm. We're joined by guest Harjeet Johal for most of this episode, to look over the loss to Seattle Sounders and look ahead to this Wednesday Canadian Championship semi-final second leg at FC Edmonton. What went wrong and can Robbo turn things around quickly? How strong a team will take the pitch at Clarke Field? Was the 'Caps early season success a true indication of the team or inflated? We hear from both head coaches, Vancouver's Carl Robinson and Seattle's Sigi Schmid, along with audio from the victorious Sounders locker room as we chat with goalscorer Chad Barrett and the central defensive pairing of Brad Evans and Chad Marshall. And we have a couple of MLS veteran goalkeeping guests on this episode as well. First up, former Sounders keeper and current colour guy Kasey Keller talks a little bit about the weekend's match and then former Sporting KC keeper Jimmy Nielsen talks to us about getting in to coaching in Oklahoma and shares his thoughts on his fellow Dane, David Ousted. And there's still time to look at WFC2's 2-2 draw with OKC Energy in USL action and chat with coach Alan Koch. Have a listen!
