Det här är inte bara en stor dag för Tyresö, utan också för alla spelare, ledare, familjer och eldsjälar som länge kämpat för en modern ishall. Nu invigs arenan med fest, förväntningar och massor av känslor. Men hur har det omtalade ishallsprojektet egentligen gått bakom kulisserna? Har resultatet levt upp till förväntningarna – och var all väntan värd det? À une époque où l'on ignorait totalement l'existence des bactéries, des puces ou des rats vecteurs de la maladie, les explications relevaient souvent de la religion, de l'astrologie ou de la magie. C'est dans ce contexte qu'est née une croyance étonnante : les pierres précieuses, et surtout les diamants, étaient censées protéger contre la peste.Cette idée ne venait pas de nulle part. Depuis l'Antiquité, les pierres précieuses étaient associées à des pouvoirs mystérieux. Les médecins médiévaux pensaient que certaines gemmes pouvaient purifier le corps, repousser les poisons ou équilibrer les “humeurs”, ces fluides censés gouverner la santé humaine selon la médecine de l'époque. Le diamant, rare et extrêmement dur, symbolisait la pureté et l'incorruptibilité. On croyait donc qu'il pouvait aussi résister aux maladies.Mais cette superstition fut surtout renforcée par une observation sociale bien réelle : les riches semblaient moins mourir de la peste que les pauvres. Or, les nobles et les marchands fortunés portaient justement des bijoux sertis de diamants, rubis ou émeraudes. Beaucoup en conclurent donc que ces pierres avaient un pouvoir protecteur.La véritable raison était pourtant tout autre.Les riches vivaient généralement dans des maisons en pierre ou en brique, beaucoup plus solides et plus propres que les habitations populaires en bois et en torchis. Ces demeures limitaient davantage l'invasion des rats, qui transportaient les puces responsables de la transmission de la peste bubonique. Les nobles disposaient aussi de davantage d'espace, ce qui réduisait la promiscuité. Ils pouvaient fuir les villes contaminées vers leurs domaines de campagne, emporter des réserves alimentaires et éviter les quartiers insalubres.Les pauvres, eux, vivaient souvent entassés dans des rues étroites, au milieu des déchets et des animaux. Les rats y proliféraient. La maladie s'y répandait donc beaucoup plus vite.Mais au Moyen Âge, personne ne comprenait ce mécanisme. On voyait simplement que les riches portant des pierres précieuses semblaient mieux survivre. COMMENTAIRE DE LA 2è LECTURE DU JOUR1 Pierre 2, 4-9Bien-aimés, approchez-vous du Seigneur Jésus : il est la pierre vivante rejetée par les hommes, mais choisie et précieuse devant Dieu. Vous aussi, comme pierres vivantes, entrez dans la construction de la demeure spirituelle, pour devenir le sacerdoce saint et présenter des sacrifices spirituels, agréables à Dieu, par Jésus Christ. En effet, il y a ceci dans l'Écriture : Je vais poser en Sion une pierre angulaire, une pierre choisie, précieuse ; celui qui met en elle sa foi ne saurait connaître la honte. Ainsi donc, honneur à vous les croyants, mais, pour ceux qui refusent de croire, il est écrit : La pierre qu'ont rejetée les bâtisseurs est devenue la pierre d'angle, une pierre d'achoppement, un rocher sur lequel on trébuche. Ils achoppent, ceux qui refusent d'obéir à la Parole, et c'est bien ce qui devait leur arriver. Mais vous, vous êtes une descendance choisie, un sacerdoce royal, une nation sainte, un peuple destiné au salut, pour que vous annonciez les merveilles de celui qui vous a appelés des ténèbres à son admirable lumière.

Depuis des siècles, Stonehenge fascine autant qu'il intrigue. Mais parmi toutes ses énigmes, l'une est particulièrement tenace : l'origine des “pierres bleues”, ces blocs de plusieurs tonnes qui ne proviennent pas du tout de la région où le monument est érigé. Pendant longtemps, leur présence a semblé presque inexplicable.Ces pierres bleues — une quarantaine à l'origine — sont des roches volcaniques et métamorphiques, différentes des grands blocs de grès visibles aujourd'hui. Dès le XXᵉ siècle, les géologues établissent qu'elles proviennent du pays de Galles, à plus de 200 kilomètres de Stonehenge. Une distance colossale pour des sociétés néolithiques ne disposant ni de roue, ni de métal, ni d'animaux de trait.Comment ces pierres ont-elles été transportées ? Deux hypothèses se sont longtemps affrontées. La première, spectaculaire, évoquait un transport humain volontaire, par radeaux, traîneaux et rouleaux de bois, sur des générations entières. La seconde proposait une origine naturelle : les pierres auraient été déplacées par les glaciers lors des dernières glaciations, puis réutilisées sur place par les bâtisseurs.C'est précisément ce débat qu'une étude récente est venue raviver — et peut-être trancher. Publiée dans la revue Communications Earth & Environment, cette recherche est menée par deux scientifiques de l'Université Curtin, en Australie.Leur travail repose sur une analyse fine de la géologie et de la dynamique glaciaire britannique. Leur conclusion est claire : aucun glacier connu n'aurait pu transporter ces pierres jusqu'à la plaine de Salisbury. En revanche, elles auraient pu déplacer certaines pierres jusqu'au sud-ouest du pays de Galles, où elles auraient ensuite été récupérées.Autrement dit, les pierres bleues n'ont pas voyagé seules jusqu'à Stonehenge. Elles ont été extraites, choisies et transportées intentionnellement par des humains sur des centaines de kilomètres. Cette conclusion renforce l'idée que Stonehenge n'est pas seulement un exploit architectural, mais aussi un projet social et symbolique majeur, mobilisant des communautés entières.Pourquoi faire un tel effort ? De plus en plus d'archéologues pensent que les pierres bleues avaient une valeur rituelle ou identitaire particulière. Leur provenance lointaine aurait renforcé leur prestige, leur pouvoir symbolique, voire spirituel. Stonehenge ne serait donc pas seulement un observatoire ou un calendrier, mais un lieu de mémoire et de rassemblement, reliant différentes régions de la Grande-Bretagne néolithique.Ce que cette étude récente change profondément, c'est notre regard sur ces sociétés anciennes. Loin d'être primitives, elles étaient capables de planification à long terme, de coopération à grande échelle et de choix culturels sophistiqués.
