En este nuevo episodio de Farmaschool Podcast, Inma Riu vuelve a conversar con Nieves Álvarez para profundizar en una faceta que cada vez despierta más interés dentro del canal farmacia: su papel como fundadora de Nieves Beauty y su forma de entender la dermocosmética desde la formulación, la experiencia y la salud de la piel. Después del paso de la marca por Infarma, donde muchos profesionales pudieron conocer de cerca sus productos, tocar sus texturas y descubrir su propuesta, esta entrevista se centra en la parte más técnica del proyecto. Nieves explica cómo traslada todo su aprendizaje acumulado durante décadas en el mundo de la moda y la belleza al desarrollo de una línea cosmética pensada especialmente para pieles sensibles, maduras, apagadas o alteradas por el estrés y el ritmo de vida actual. A lo largo de la conversación comparte una idea central que define muy bien la filosofía de la marca: la belleza no debe identificarse con la juventud, sino con la salud de la piel. Frente a una visión obsesionada con borrar arrugas o detener el paso del tiempo, Nieves defiende una cosmética que acompañe el envejecimiento de forma realista, respetuosa y eficaz, ayudando a mantener una piel luminosa, uniforme, cómoda y bien cuidada. Habla con naturalidad de las arrugas como parte de la vida, y reivindica el valor de cuidar la piel desde la honestidad y no desde la promesa vacía. Uno de los grandes ejes del episodio es la importancia de la formulación real. Nieves insiste en que hoy no basta con construir una buena historia de marca o hablar de activos de moda: lo importante es que esos ingredientes estén presentes en las dosis adecuadas, en combinaciones coherentes y con una tecnología que garantice su eficacia. En este sentido, repasa algunos de los ingredientes más representativos de Nieves Beauty, como las células madre de la flor de Edelweiss, un activo antioxidante y antiinflamatorio que se ha convertido en insignia de la marca; el retinal con exosomas incluido en uno de sus sérums de tratamiento; el ácido hialurónico en tres pesos moleculares o la vitamina C encapsulada, formulada así para preservar mejor su estabilidad y su capacidad de actuar sobre la piel. El episodio también deja espacio para hablar de aprendizaje empresarial y de los errores que forman parte de cualquier proyecto. Nieves comparte una anécdota muy reveladora sobre el lanzamiento de su protector solar con color, un producto que estaba previsto para 2024 pero que finalmente decidió retrasar porque detectó un problema en el envase: al manipularlo, los pigmentos de la fórmula lo manchaban. En lugar de sacarlo al mercado a toda costa, decidió parar la producción, cambiar el packaging y asumir la pérdida económica. Hoy ese solar es uno de los productos más reconocidos y diferenciales de la firma. Además de hablar de activos y formulación, Nieves comparte cuáles son los productos que considera imprescindibles dentro de su rutina y dentro de la marca. Reivindica especialmente la limpieza facial como la base de cualquier rutina de cuidado, y pone en valor su gel limpiador, formulado para limpiar sin dejar la piel tirante ni reseca. También destaca el peeling enzimático, uno de los productos más especiales de la gama por su capacidad para aportar luminosidad sin irritar la piel, incluso en personas sensibles o con tendencia a la reactividad. A esto suma el solar, el sérum de péptidos, el contorno de ojos y sus productos labiales, explicando cómo cada uno responde a una necesidad concreta y cómo la sensorialidad, el perfume tenue o la textura juegan un papel importante en la experiencia de uso. Otro tema muy interesante que aparece en la entrevista es la idea de “escuchar la piel”. Nieves defiende que no todas las noches ni todos los momentos del año exigen lo mismo, y que una buena rutina no consiste en aplicar siempre la misma secuencia de productos, sino en entender qué necesita la piel en cada momento: más hidratación, más confort, más limpieza o una rutina más simple. Esta visión conecta muy bien con el consejo farmacéutico, porque pone el foco en la observación, la personalización y el uso inteligente del producto. La conversación también aborda el papel del estilo de vida en el aspecto de la piel. Nieves recuerda que la piel refleja claramente lo que ocurre en el interior: el estrés, la alimentación, la hidratación o los hábitos del día a día tienen un impacto visible en la luminosidad, la sequedad o la aparición de imperfecciones. Por eso, más allá de la cosmética, insiste en la importancia de una alimentación equilibrada, de beber agua y de conocer qué sienta bien al organismo para mantener una piel bonita y saludable. En definitiva, este episodio ofrece una mirada muy completa a Nieves Beauty como proyecto de dermocosmética: desde su filosofía hasta sus activos, desde la experiencia sensorial hasta la exigencia técnica, desde la parte aspiracional de la marca hasta la realidad del trabajo diario que hay detrás. Vom Cover ihres neuesten Albums "Furie", das am 9. Mai erscheint, blickt Alicia Edelweiss den Betrachter:innen mit interessantem Kopfschmuck und herausgestreckter Zunge entgegen. Das passt zum Titel, der absichtsvoll die diversen verwandten Bedeutungen des Wortes birgt: Von den römischen Rachegöttinnen über die im deutschen gebräuchliche, eher abschätzige Bezeichnung für eine wütende Frau bis hin zum Zorn an sich ist alles mitgemeint. Dass die 1992 in Klagenfurt geborene Edelweiss der mächtigen titelgebenden Emotion eher positiv gegenübersteht, darf genauso vermutet werden, wie dass besonders die mittlings genannte Bedeutung reklamiert und von der negativen Konnotation befreit werden soll. Schließlich gibt es ja so manches auf der Welt, das einen Menschen schon mal zum Rasen bringen kann. Musikalisch bewegt sich die Multiinstrumentalistin, die einige Jahre auch das Akkordeon in der Begleitband von Voodoo Jürgens spielte, und von sich behauptet, sie könne "keine richtige Mahlzeit zubereiten" und fände das "cool", im weiten Feld zwischen Pop und Freak- bzw. Anti-Folk. Wie die von ihr geschätzten Coco Rosie oder Andrew Bird gefällt es ihr, mit Erwartungen zu spielen und Grenzen zu überschreiten. Dabei nutzt sie nicht nur zahlreiche Instrumente sondern bietet auch sonst eine beachtliche Palette an Stimmungen und Meinungen, was Christian Pausch vom österreichischen Radiosender FM4 so zusammenfasst: "Die Lieder von Alicia Edelweiss bringen uns zum Lachen, bereiten uns Gänsehaut, erschüttern uns in ihrer Sanftheit, und zerreißen die Stille, wenn es die Geschichte des Liedes verlangt. Die Musikerin beweist immer wieder aufs Neue, dass sie in der Vielfalt zuhause ist."
