On the twenty-sixth night of our #31DaysToHalloween the Mister and KT join me in reviewing TUCKER AND DALE vs EVIL (2010), from writers Eli Craig and Morgan Jurgenson, the film is directed by Eli Craig. Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine), two kind-hearted but stereotypical-looking "hillbillies," head to their newly purchased vacation cabin in the woods for a relaxing fishing trip and some home renovation. Their peaceful getaway is interrupted by a group of college students who, due to a series of hilarious and increasingly gruesome misunderstandings, become convinced that Tucker and Dale are murderous backwoods killers. As the terrified college students attempt to "fight back" or "rescue" their friends, they accidentally cause a series of bizarre and bloody fatalities, leaving the baffled and innocent duo struggling to figure out why these kids are killing themselves all over their property. The film clocks in at 1 h and 29 m, is rated R and we caught it on Prime Video but you can find it on the Hoopla app as well as Hulu, Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Tubi and to buy/rent on Prime Video. Happy Birthday an uns selbst!

On the eleventh night of our #31DaysToHalloween the Mister joins me in reviewing 28 DAYS LATER (2002), from a screenplay by Alex Garland, the film is directed by Danny Boyle. Bike courier Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakens from a coma 28 days after a hyper-contagious rage virus has been accidentally unleashed, finding London deserted and overrun by fast, homicidal infected people. Jim joins a small band of uninfected survivors, including the hardened Selena (Naomie Harris), on a perilous journey across a desolate Britain toward a military quarantine promising safety. However, upon reaching the military compound, they discover the soldiers pose a threat more monstrous than the infected, forcing the survivors into a desperate final battle for their lives and humanity. The film clocks in at 1 h and 56 m, is rated R and we caught the film on Netflix but it is streaming on AMC+, PlutoTV but also to buy/rent on Prime Video. Plus, the U.S. tops its group at the U20 World Cup... can they go all the way? And with Philadelphia Union clinching the Supporters' Shield, who's your MLS Cup favorite? Jimmy Conrad, Charlie Davies, and Tony Meola recap the USMNT's 2-0 win over Japan, a much-needed morale boost sealed by goals from Alejandro Zendejas and Folarin Balogun. Mauricio Pochettino's decision to roll with a back three gave the U.S. a new edge, delivering their first victory over a top-20 FIFA opponent since the 2022 World Cup... but don't call it a "signature" win! The Athletic's Paul Tenorio joins to break down who helped (or hurt) their stock the most during September camp (08:05). The guys debate the MOTM (21:51), dig into the impact of Pochettino's tactical shift (26:30), what it means for the roster moving forward (30:45), and how to judge his first year in charge of the USMNT (46:47).
