Join Jim and Greg for a special Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they welcome Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee for Mayor of New York City. They'll discuss the Sliwa agenda, his deeply flawed opponents, and how he plans to win in November.First, Sliwa walks us through his top priorities if he's elected mayor and how he would get things done with a city council that would not be very enthusiastic about his policies.Next, Sliwa takes on his three rivals for the job: Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo, and current Mayor Eric Adams. Sliwa explains why each of them is unworthy of the job and why the city would decline if any of them are elected. Finally, Sliwa tells us how he plans to defy the current polls, expose the failures and terrible plans of his opponents, and motivate a special coalition of voters to help him get elected. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect the horrific Minnesota shooting of kids at a Catholic church and school on Thursday. They're also glad to see that a Wisconsin judge will not get the charges dropped for helping an illegal alien escape from ICE, and they react to another weak move from Democrat Abigail Spanberger in the Virginia governor's race.First, they walk through the details of the Minneapolis shooting, how prominent Democrats sneered at the idea of praying for victims and their families and immediately called for gun control, and how this is another mass shooting perpetrated by a killer identifying as transgender.Next, they're glad a federal judge rejected the argument that Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan should be immune from prosecution for helping an illegal alien escape from her courthouse. Dugan's lawyers say she should not be charged over doing her official duties. The judge overseeing the case wisely countered that helping someone avoid arrest or being served a warrant is not a duty that ought to win immunity for Dugan. Finally, they shake their heads as Democrat Abigail Spanberger steps on another rake in the Virginia governor's race. Now Spanberger says she will end the cooperation between the Virginia State Police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agreed to by current governor Glenn Youngkin. The news also prompts them to take a closer look at the state of the race and the media's coverage of Spanberger. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Stassi is at the epic Vanderpump Villa with special guest Maria Georges (yes, the almost-Bachelorette), and the conversation is equal parts spooky and soul-baring. Maria shares why she turned down becoming the Bachelorette—proving the power of saying no. They swap stories on relationships (including a Travis Kelce/ Taylor Swift–style dynamic that just works), compare star signs, and laugh over the Mandela Effect moments that still blow their minds. But the villa has its own spooky energy: gunshot echoes, ghost stories, and Maria's very first “spooky origin story” about her lifelong love of the eerie and unknown. In true Stassi fashion, they keep it fun—laughing through childhood horror obsessions and plotting this year's niche family Halloween costumes. Thanks for supporting our sponsors:Boll and Branch: Get 15% off plus free shipping on your first set of sheets at BollAndBranch.com/stassi. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they note Americans overwhelmingly see a crime problem in the U.S. and a majority likes how Trump is dealing with it. They also wince as Trump welcomes 600,000 Chinese college students into the U.S., and roll their eyes at the left's absurd "land acknowledgements."First, they're glad to see that 81 percent of Americans have the common sense to see that crime is a major problem. That includes 68 percent of Democrats. In addition, 53 percent of Americans approve of how President Trump is dealing with crime. This makes the Democrats' assertions that there really isn't a crime problem in our major cities look utterly ridiculous.Next, they cringe as President Trump says he is perfectly fine allowing 600,000 Chinese students study at American colleges and universities this year. Jim and Greg fume about the American students who suffer a result, and they point out what the Chinese government expects from their students when returning from the U.S.Finally, they shake their heads as the DNC national meeting kicked off with a "land acknowledgement," where someone explains which tribal nation had the land before European settlers allegedly took it from them. It's shameless virtue signaling, but is it backfiring for Democrats and could this practice ever have much more serious implications? Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Join Jim and Greg for Tuesday's 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into how the Kamala Harris campaign's extravagant spending left the DNC paying her debts, President Trump's efforts to force Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and famed rapper Snoop Dogg getting fed up at LGBT content getting shoved into movies for kids.First, their jaws hit the floor as the New York Times reports that Kamala Harris spent $1.5 billion over a 15-week campaign and DNC had to pay her outstanding debts. There is no silver lining for the Dems from the Harris campaign, and Jim explains why he does not expect her to run in 2028.Next, they dig into the standoff between President Trump and Lisa Cook of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Trump says Cook is fired for falsely claiming two different homes as her primary residence within a couple of weeks. Cook is refusing to leave the Fed. So, this is headed to court and Jim says Trump might not have the legal high ground here. Finally, they react to Snoop Dogg getting mad that a same-sex couple with a baby was included in the new kids' movie Lightyear. It's part of the Toy Story franchise. The rapper and ubiquitous media figure says his young grandson peppered him with questions about how that could happen, and he was unprepared to answer. Snoop Dogg says that content should not be in movies geared for children, so of course many of the left are now denouncing him. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they hammer California Gov. Gavin Newsom for his endless Trump-style tweets and failed spin on crime, sound the alarm over President Trump's push for more deals like the one the government made with Intel, and highlight Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed's disturbing campaign rhetoric.First, they rip into Newsom's tired routine of mimicking Trump on social media and his claim that cities in red state have worse murder rates than California's major cities. What he leaves out is that those cities have been run by Democrats for decades.Next, they explain why President Trump grabbing 10 percent of Intel for the federal government is a terrible move and a very bad precedent to set. There are much better ways to grow the semiconductor industry in the U.S. Even worse, Trump is vowing to make many more deals like this. Finally, they spotlight Michigan's Abdul El-Sayed, a far-left Senate hopeful closely aligned with Bernie Sanders and openly hostile to Israel. El-Sayed urges his followers to fight dirty in politics, telling them to “get in the mud and choke them out.”Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Tech, social media, and the law intersect in ever-evolving and highly confusing ways. Rules vary from state-to-state, without any consistent age gate. This leaves minors – and the adults who care about them – unclear about what is and isn't legal. On topics like child pornography, sexting, sextortion, and revenge porn, Kaitlin Andrews, family lawyer and educator from the Schools Consent Project, offers guidance on where the law is clear, where we're still looking for clarity, and what to do while the ground shifts under our feet. This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we're diving into power dynamics in relationships (we call them power points - Jules thought we were talking about Microsoft LMAO), weaning from breastfeeding (T-4 weeks), and what it's like parenting near family (spoiler alert: we're sleeping!!) Before all that - Air Canada flight attendants were striking (yes, we're still in Vancouver), and we've got some updated Canada recs for your next trip (don't worry, no chains this time… maybe). Then get into the whole process of weaning from breastfeeding/pumping (and if it's the final frontier to feel like yourself again postpartum). Plus: the age-old stain debate (are you a blotter or a rubber?), Skechers made a shoe with a secret AirTag pocket (actually kind of genius - but the internet is mad), a Ryanair flight meltdown over a crying baby, and the kids' product that somehow reinvented the landline. The skin erupts with surprises across the tween and teen years… and it's not all acne! Stretchmarks happen when bodies grow out or up quickly. Keloids are 3-D scars. Ingrown hairs aren't permanent like the other two, but they still present their own challenges and stressors. We dig into what causes each of these skin challenges and what (if anything) can be done about them. Show Notes: Join our LESS AWKWARD ESSENTIALS Get your Alloy prescription today. It's simultaneously wonderful and worrying to launch a kid. The most common denominator question is a version of this: Are they going to be ok when they leave us? We hope – and wonder – if we've taught them enough to be out in the world. Christina Geist spent her oldest child's senior year of high school compiling those life lessons in Before You Fly Away. Her musings are as heartfelt as they are practical, whether you have a child who is about to fly the nest, one who flew away long ago, or one so young you can hardly imagine that stage of life. If you've been wondering WHAT is going on with the next generation, if you've been hearing some of the same rumblings of God doing new things around the world, if you're confused about teenagers (me too) and want some help understanding them… this is the episode for you. Dan Blythe lives in the UK and is the Global Youth Director for Alpha, and as we get closer to fall and think about what God's up to around the world, he's helping us understand how to prepare for the harvest. This week, Jason is joined by entrepreneur, podcast host, and star of MTV's Siesta Key, Juliette Porter! Juliette came to recognition in 20217 after being cast as a main personality on MTV's hit reality TV show, following a group of friends in Siesta Key, Florida. In addition to being on reality TV, Juliette has expanded her career endeavors by getting into the retail and podcast space. Juliette co-founded a designer swimwear and apparel brand focused on natural beauty and body positivity called JMP the Label, which she has helped grow since 2021. She started her podcast with her friend Sebastian called Don't Be Ridiculous where she co-hosts on a weekly basis. Juliette takes us behind the scenes of her whirlwind journey — from filming the Siesta Key pilot at just 17, to shifting her career path when the show was picked up. She opens up about the year-over-year changes in reality TV income, how she negotiated her narration fee into the six figures, and the personal, financial, and professional struggles she's faced along the way. Juliette gets candid about her spending habits, navigating imposter syndrome, and the business hustle behind JMP The Label — from its standout moments at Swim Week to making millions in just the first few years. She shares which celebrities have worn her swimsuits, why she's determined to do more than just reality TV, and her vision for what's next. Juliette reveals all this and so much more in another episode you can't afford to miss! This week we've teamed up with our true crime friends from The Knife, journalist-producers Hannah Smith and Patia Eaton, for a one-of-a-kind episode where we each brought a story to the table. First, Melissa and Mandy tell the bizarre and unforgettable tale of Colton Harris-Moore, better known as the Barefoot Bandit. He was a lanky teen from a small island town who went on the run, stealing cars and planes while dodging authorities for years. His story captured the internet's imagination, but behind the memes was a kid failed by the very systems meant to protect him. Next, Hannah and Patia dive into the heartbreaking and impactful case of Sally Challen, a woman convicted of murdering her husband in 2010. What seemed at first like a shocking and senseless crime was eventually reexamined through a modern understanding of coercive control and domestic abuse. The result: a rare and powerful legal reversal years later. This episode explores two lives shaped by control, survival, and the long shadow of trauma. It's a compelling look at how the ripple effects of crime stretch far beyond the headlines. Listen and subscribe to The Knife wherever you get your podcasts!
