Movie recommendations or comments for us? Text us here!Happy Halloween Eve, everybody! We watched the least spooky Halloween rom com imaginable this year. A Kind of Magic (aka You Cast a Spell on Me) is a 2015 romantic comedy starring Nikki Deloach and Ryan McPartlin. Matt is a witch. He is also part-owner of a successful juice business. He has money, looks, a yellow convertible and one really strong charm person spell that he uses in every non-witch interaction. The only thing Matt doesn't have is a wife, and that's a problem because if he isn't married to another witch by the time he turns 36 (which is apparently a few months away), he'll lose his powers. He has an arranged marriage to his childhood friend and business partner. He's okay with that plan until he meets a Halloween-loving lady at a party. Does he know her name? No. Does he know what she does for a living? No. Did they drink three bottles of wine together and kiss? Yes. Yes, they did.Now his powers are going haywire and he has no idea how to find the woman who stole both his magic and his heart.Listen to our thoughts today!

A non-Thursday drop means birthday! So happy birthday to our favorite witch out there! This is for you (you know who you are), Best Friend.
Chances are, you’ve had to find a way to earn some extra money at some point in your life. Most of us are not above a little hard work and elbow grease to help us meet a fiscal goal, but at what point does financial necessity supersede personal integrity? In BABYSITTER’S BLACK BOOK (2015), starring Spencer Locke, Angeline Appel, and Ryan McPartlin, we meet a group of high school girls who turn their babysitting business into an underground prostitution ring to help pay for college. At first, it’s all fun and cash and rap videos…but when the cold reality of felonious underage sex work sinks in, our heroines start to think that maybe they should have first considered financial aid. We also discuss the REAL perpetrators on whom this “inspired by true events” tale was based (Spoiler alert: they were NOT white upper-middle class college hopefuls with privilege on their side), as well as what the effect of legalization and regulation of vice may have on society. Also, we hate to break it to you, but Rachel isn’t going to cry when you die. This episode is one for the books! This movie is available to watch on the Lifetime Movie Club app and Amazon Prime. Today's Guest: Ryan McPartlin, actor, "Chuck," "Game Time" Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience of Chuck fans who would probably watch Ryan McPartlin -- "Captain Awesome" -- eat a bowl of cereal every morning (and some already have, but don’t let on you know)… in the NEW new media capitol of the world… St. Petersburg, Florida! ] Ryan McPartlin steps aside from his role as "Awesome" on "Chuck" to star in the TV movie "Game Time: Tackling The Past" on NBC, Sat. Sept. 3 @ 8 p.m. As the cast of NBC’s “Chuck” prepares for its fifth and final season victory lap, it is more than fair that two of its stars are getting outside shots at the big time. Yvonne Strahovski, who plays “Sarah” on “Chuck,” has her biggest film role to date when Killer Elite opens on September 23. She’s plays opposite Jason Statham, Clive Owen and, oh yeah, Robert DeNiro, in that one. And this Saturday, September 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC, it’s Ryan McPartlin’s turn. He’s playing the lead character, pro football star Jake Walker, in the TV movie, “Game Time: Tackling the Past.” This is Ryan’s second visit to Mr. Media and it’s a pleasure to welcome him back. Today's Guest: Actor Ryan McPartlin, who plays "Captain Awesome" on "Chuck." Ryan McPartlin (L), Sarah Lancaster, Zachary Levi One of the cool aspects of NBC’s spy rom-com “Chuck” is that it has survived on the Peacock long enough for every recurring character to get a moment to shine. Jeff and Lester have their band. Ellie has a heart. Casey has a daughter. The General has, well, okay, I’m still trying to figure that one out. Big Mike loves Subway sandwiches. Morgan is a different kind of genius. And Captain Awesome — okay, just plain ol’ “Awesome” these days — is both a big softie and a go-to spy. That’s a giant leap for Ryan McPartlin’s character on the show. RYAN McPARTLIN podcast excerpt: "We're hoping to hear this week or next if we're going to get more episodes this season. Ratings don't seem to matter; we keep coming back no matter what. That's largely due to the fans. There are so many outlets you can watch 'Chuck' on. We're such a big hit on iTunes, on Hulu, and on NBC.com." For a long time, he was the guy who walked in and out of scenes, often shirtless, looking, well Awesome. He got credit for doing things no mere mortal—certain not Chuck — could do and always wound up smooching or in the clinch with his fiancée, now wife on the show, Ellie, played by the luscious Sarah Lancaster. Not a bad deal, but not exactly a meaty role. Last season, however, McPartlin’s patience on the sidelines paid off. He, like Chuck, became a bit of an accidental spy himself and was entrusted with the secret of Chuck’s giant brain and new physical prowess. It was one of many fun twists on a show that excels in taking viewers places we never expected and always enjoy exploring. This season, he and Ellie have a bun in the oven. You just know it’s gonna be awesome.
