The return of TV shows like ‘Outnumbered', The characters from the sitcom Bread, new words, Barry tries to read a made up supermarket story, methods for shoplifting (that we have never and would never use of course), impressions of Paula Vennells and Paula Venables? Letting kids ride jet skis? Welcome to The kbbreview Podcast, this is another of our special episodes from kbb Birmingham, although to be more precise this one is coming from the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2024. Host Andy Davies found a relatively quiet spot to talk to you but we had around 900 people filling the room celebrating the very best of the industry so it was a big noisy crowd and an amazing atmosphere. Our host was Stephen Mulhern and he had the whole room in the palm of his hand but we managed to grab our winners as they came off stage. As always, these special awards episodes are brought to you with the support of our 2024 Podcast Partner Sonas Bathrooms - they're all here tonight so hello to you all again if you're listening and thank you for all your support this year. These episodes really give us the chance to explain what the awards are all about it, give a little peak behind the curtain AND let every meet some of the finalists and judges. And that's really important as, even though we're alwaus have a big party here we really work hard to make sure these are awards worth winning. You can find out more about Sonas Bathrooms at sonasbathrooms.co.uk and you can also see the full list of winners at our website kbbreview.com/awards as well as a full gallery of pictures from the night which is, let's be honest, what everyone wants to see. We open entries for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2025 in the Autumn so watch out for that... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Dive into the hilarious world of two whimsical worms as they meander from topic to topic, discussing everything from elephants sneezing, the language of bees, to the origin of words in this eccentric episode. Their eccentric debate includes game show nostalgia, featuring all-time favorites like Catchphrase and Supermarket Sweep. They envision entertaining encounters featuring Stephen Mulhern in an imaginary cage match. Welcoming you to an entertaining audio adventure, they emphasise on not taking anything too seriously while indulging in their absurd yet captivating banter. In a surprising turn of events, hacking takes centerstage in their conversation. Think: hacking for fun, and definitely not for world domination. What computer would you hack? A government system filled with secrets or a fast food chain's database for a laugh? What's more appealing: unearthing governmental secrets or manipulating a food menu for your own indulgence? This unexpectedly humorous exploration of hacking drips with imagination, mischief, and infectious laughter. Finally, the conversation delves into their fast-food fantasies, imagining the uproar and convenience caused by changing popular items on the McDonald's and KFC menus. The lighthearted chat expands onto hacking the fast food system to benefit society by providing cost-effective and abundant meal options. Debating potential criminal consequences for such amusing hacking scenarios, the discussion culminates in a perfectly planned nugget heist, leaving you hungry for more!

Do you know Dominic Byrne well enough to call him 'Baldy Dom'? No. You absolutely do not. Hello and welcome to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. Chris returned from time away in the caravan (and Ibiza) refreshed and ready to deliver a standout week of content. This week was chocka block with comedians, as we have four comics join us on the show. Joel Dommett popped by and talked about conkers and Stephen Mulhern (not in the same sentence). Jon Richardson called the show and confessed Netflix have no interest in his special, and Seann Walsh told all about not being allowed into the NTAs. Everyone's favourite Byrne, Jason Byrne, also came in and explained how he treats hecklers at his shows. Dominic Byrne's 50 at 50 made a racing return, as Dom hopped in the saddle and took on the Leicester Square Hobby Horse Trials. Just wonderful. Anyway, if a few comedians and some hobby horses doing a lap of honour to the sound of an accordion doesn't entice you to click play, we also had: Chris, Dom and Captain Crapbeard come in their shortsChris analyses Toby Tarrant's mega breakfastCaptain Crapbeard gets a call from “Travis Barker”Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio XWeekdays 6:30-10am

The podcast is taking a break until 2023. However, I am releasing a one off special with Steve Ryde which I recorded earlier this year. Steve has an amazing CV when it comes to his work in children's television. Steve started out acting in the likes of 'Your Mother Wouldn't Like It' and 'Palace Hill' in the 1980's. Between 1993-1998 Steve was the voice of the continuity links on CITV and often appeared in many of the promos too. From May 1998 Steve moved to producing CITV when it returned to in-vision pres continuity and was responsible for choosing Stephen Mulhern and Danielle Nicholls to be the new faces of the relaunch. During his CITV days he also acted in Wizadora as Tatty Bogle. Following a move to CBBC in the early 2000's he devised Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow and his voice talents were heard frequently during games of 'Bogies' as the 'Bogey-O-Meter'. His other CBBC credits include devising the likes of The Slammer, Chute, The Legend of Dick and Dom and Crackerjack.

Talking to Phil Reid really gives you a full insight to the beginnings of Stand Up Comedy, He has the perfect influences he grafted the right way in Bingo Halls and Holiday Parks hosting shows and he just went for it any given opportunity to use those adlib skills and turn them into punchlines and get those first laughs. He credits Miles Crawford & Keith Harris as being important role models in giving their time and kindness as they saw in Phil the talent he has and I have seen it, he is a brilliant MC, compere, and Stand Up Comic in his own right and he has also found the World of Pantomime and Variety. There is "If mums behave like cabin crew" or "Dancing at the family party" or Annoying things you hear at the office" etc, the premise is funny but just watch his facial expressions and funny bones, he uses his comedy timing, acting skills and brilliance in delivery to share these funny short videos for the whole family. This is just one side of Richard Franks Comedy so listen to our chat and see where he came from and where he is going.Welcome to Eyes & teeth Richard Franks
