SportsPro chief executive Nick Meacham is joined by a returning (and somewhat broken hearted) Chris Stone for a StreamTime Podcast which dives into a topic that infuriates fans, broadcasters and rights holders in equal measure - the UK's Saturday afternoon live soccer blackout. As Stone tries to move past the defeat of his beloved Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl, the StreamTime regulars are joined by SportsPro digital editor Tom Bassam for a initial review of Meacham's interview with Socios chief executive Alexandra Dreyfus on the previous week's episode. The pod then opens up the discussion to the wider possibilities for the industry should the UK ditch the blackout, including what a Premier League 'RedZone' might look like. Finally, the trio close the show with some analysis of the DAZN's recent deal with mobile live look-in streaming platform Buzzer. Welcome to a Never Not Creative podcast mini-series. Creativity and Football. We're talking to men about creativity, football and... who are we kidding? This is an essential listen. A mini-series dedicated to the topic of men's mental health in our industry. We kick-off our first episode with Pete Brennan. Co-founder of Heaps Normal, Electric & Analog and lucky for us, sharer of stories and experiences about his own journey with mental health. We're publishing this series because its almost guaranteed that whenever we run something around mental health – we'll see max 10% of males as part of the audience. It's time to chat fellas (and everyone of course, but especially the men). The more open you are, the more honest you are and the more you realise that more than half of this world is feeling something similar, the more we can all help each other. Thank you to Pete for sharing, talking and helping others realise it's good to talk and get to know yourself. Find out more about Pete, Heaps Normal and Electric and Analog below. The world of broadcast and media rights have always been at the heart of SportsPro's coverage, but in the last five years we've been at the frontier of the OTT revolution across the sports industry. In 2016, SportsPro launched the inaugural OTT Summit – a destination to connect and inspire the next generation of broadcast and streaming innovators. What started as a business conference in Madrid has expanded into the industry's largest events and awards portfolio dedicated to the streaming sector. In the intervening years, SportsPro managing director Nick Meacham has spent a lot of time researching and connecting with the biggest players in the space, as well as uncovering the defining themes and decisions behind the sport's industry's most important topic. That's why we've launched the weekly StreamTime Podcast where each week Nick will profile the people, businesses and technologies driving the sports streaming revolution. The podcast are set to become the go-to place for sports leaders and broadcast professionals seeking ideas, insights, and inspiration in these times of rapid transformation. As the episodes roll out you will hear from an array of platforms, rights holders and technology providers exploring not only WHAT they're doing, but HOW and WHY they are doing it.  So, whether you're walking the dog, getting back to the morning commute, or looking to add some insight to your day, subscribe to the StreamTime Podcast and hear from the leaders and figures shaping the future of sports streaming.

I really love doing ReIssue episodes. Pulling old soundbites and getting original guests to comment on them — it's like digging up a time capsule. This episode we have Jo Roca and Jason Little from For The People looking at our 5th episode. Jo was just ‘the girlfriend' and Jason had just opened a studio with two mates. In the time between, FTP has gone on to become one of Australia's most awarded agencies, recently named 4th in D&AD design studio polls. It hasn't all been smooth sailing though. Jo and Jas are the first to admit their mistakes and the roads they wished they'd not taken. In this very frank and honest episode, we look back at the ups and downs of running a business and why they never stop learning and trying to improve. Asher Oliver didn't take the traditional ‘qualified' pathway into the creative industry. After graduation from university with a Business Management degree in 2009, he moved back home and encountered a huge struggle in regards to finding employment. Like many graduates having to rely on casual work meant Asher became a waiter in an Italian restaurant, but he never gave up what had become a passion on the side for animation. While researching opportunities, Asher came across Gary Vaynerchuk and his mantras of: HUSTLE - HARD WORK - FOCUS - NO EXCUSES When Asher reached out to Gary himself, opportunities appeared. The collaboration opened many doors and he now works full time at Food Fight Studios.
