After a five-year break in studio releases, Train came roaring back this year with AM Gold and a tour with dates stretching into 2023 that's delivering their new songs and a sampling of the group's 28 charting singles from their nearly 30-year history. PG's John Bohlinger stopped in on the band's two guitar players, Jerry Becker and Taylor Locke, and bassist Hector Maldonado, before their June 21 show at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater. They displayed the big bevy of instruments they use to recreate the Train sound live. PS: Special thanks to techs Wayne Davis and Stephen Ferrera-Grand for help running down the rigs. In the late 1980's a group called TrainRiders Northeast was formed with the intention of getting regular passenger train service from Maine to Boston. Led by Wayne Davis, it took over ten years and a bi-partisan effort. With funding from the state of Maine and a turnkey proposal, the state-backed plan was embraced by Amtrak and the first trains began in 2001. Could this be a blueprint for the future for other states?
We discuss the vehicles on the series Yellowstone; Your favorite car colors in black and white and why Maine loves its Downeaster train

--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/corgiov/message

In this episode, Captain Chris and Captain Wayne Davis sit down with Dr. Greg Stunz and Quentin Hall from the Harte Research Institute to discuss some truth's behind Catch and Release. For a little over a decade, Dr. Stunz and his team have done exclusive research on the survivability of Speckled Trout that have been caught and released. Not only does Doc go into detail about the results of that study, but they also talk about angler practice and general misnomers surrounding catch and release. Without a doubt this episode is very insightful and I hope it changes some of your viewpoints and approach. Enjoy!

I am so freaking excited that the guest for this week's episode is Ultra Nate, the dance music superstar best known for the 90s classic 'Free'. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Ultra fell in to club culture in her first year of university. From here she met the production group the Basement Boys, started writing songs with them and... well, the rest is history... Ultra and I discuss the Baltimore house sound, being famous in one country and unknown in another, and the etiquette of snogging on the dancefloor.... This is really an episode about a number of venues - Odell's, Club Fantasy, and The Paradox (so legendary that it has its own wikipedia page!), with the common thread being the pioneering owner Wayne Davis. Whilst none of these venues were queer, they did host specific nights promoted to this community, and, being dance venues, the audience they attracted was really diverse.

Retired Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Wayne Davis served 25 years with the FBI and during his career ran the Detroit and Philadelphia Offices. SAC Davis was among the first group of fully qualified African-American agents hired by the FBI and allowed to attend the FBI Academy in 1962 and 1963. In this episode of FBI Retired Case File Review, he provides a fascinating personal and historical account of diversity in the FBI and his private meeting with Director J. Edgar Hoover in 1965, at which time the Director openly expressed his views about Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement. Wayne died on July 10, 2020. I'm heartbroken. Early in my career, he and his wife Lois (a former Assistant United States Attorney) mentored me, and I will forever remember their kindness and wisdom. Wayne asked me to be his applicant coordinator, even though I had less than 5 years in the Bureau. He was serious about minority recruitment and knew I would do a good job for him. It was part of his job evaluation and he did not want to fail. I did not let him down! Lois called me a few days before he passed away and let me tell him, once again, how much they both mean to me. Special Agent Wayne Davis was an even more special husband, father, grandfather, boss, and friend. May he rest in peace. This episode is A Celebration 0f his remarkable life. Feature Interview: In this episode I spoke AMC muscle car expert, friend, and former article writer, Wayne Davis. It has been many years since Wayne was on the show so I wanted to catch up on life, cars, and fun! Wayne was attracted to AMC muscle cars at a young age through a relative and has developed a reputation for performing highly detailed restorations on them over the years. His portfolio of previous projects include some of the most rare optioned vehicles of the line. His current project though is his favorite so far: a highly accurate AMC Javelin Mark Donohue Trans Am tribute car, complete with period AMC race engine. Unlike his other restorations, this is a car he has no problem driving and taking to the track! The car is loud, fast, obnoxious, and gets attention wherever it goes. On this edition of Ask Rick: I asked the long wondered listener question of "Is your hold music from the Dudley Moore movie, Arthur?" He did not immediately know, but we will find out in the next episode! On a more serious note, one listener did want to know whether the aftermarket industry has experienced a downturn this year, and whether NPD has seen that as well. He hasn't seen that for NPD and we discussed the attributing factors. Attraction Marketing Begins With... Before I (Sebastien) became an entrepreneur, I used to think that an Avatar was a James Cameron movie about giant blue creatures in a movie by the same name. Thankfully, I know better now. Nevertheless, many entrepreneurs do not. Did you know that most business owners do not know how to identify their target market? While some of it is their own fault, we could also blame the types of philosophies we are generally taught in business. The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make is in thinking they can market or sell their product or service to just anybody. That just isn't the case. In this week's episode, we'll talk about how important it is to know who you are and what you're about in order to identify your ideal customer - your avatar. As you will see, there is no such thing as over-targeting. We'll also get into some powerful yet counter intuitive ideas, such as: The people you repel are just as important as the people you attract. We prove, from the life of Jesus Himself, just how true that is! So, if you think an avatar is a big blue giant creature from a James Cameron movie, you definitely need to listen to this week's episode! If you're a Home Business owner, Online Business Owner or Network Marketer, you'll get tons of value out of this episode Stop wasting your money on Ads that target a broad audience and let's get specific! In This Episode You Will: Understand how important it is to know who you are and what you're about in order to identify your ideal avatar. Discover the questions you need to ask yourself to create an avatar profile (your ideal prospect). Gain insight from the life of Jesus: how he wasn't afraid to repel the wrong audience. Learn how important your values are, and the role they play in your customer selection process. Memorable Quotes and Verses: It is interesting to note how Jesus didn’t want just anybody to follow Him, and neither should you. -Sebastien Richard A strong sense of personal brand awareness will make you avoid wasting time with the wrong people. -Sebastien Richard "Who we are is who we attract." -Sebastien Richard “For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life.” -2 Corinthians [2:15]-16 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’ Mark [4:10]-12 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” John 6: 25-27 "If your target audience isn't listening, it's not their fault, it's yours." -Seth Godin "Choose your customers, choose your future." -Seth Godin "The lead generation process starts by finding out where your target market 'lives' on the web." - Wayne Davis Get The Avatar Cheat Sheet! In Folkways Coastal Carvers, some of the most talented carvers on Harkers Island exhibit their wares and explain how they began making decoys and why they continue. James Rose, miniature boat builder, demonstrates his boats and talks about why he built each one and the significance it has to him. Curt Salter, decoy carver and founding member of the Core Sound Guild, explains step by step how he chooses the wood for a decoy and then cuts and carves it until it resembles a duck's body and head. His collection of historic decoys from a time when they brought home dinner is also quite impressive. Wayne Davis and Carl Huff are two other carvers that have designed their own styles of decoys.
