B"H In the Torah, Moshe, Aharon, Nadav, Avihu, and the elders were granted a rare vision of Hashem. They saw a sapphire-like stone, the same sky-blue shade as techelet, the thread on our tzitzit that mirrors the heavens and Hashem's throne. That same breathtaking blue still shines in our world today. May we always notice these reminders of Hashem's presence in the beauty around us. ✨ To watch Torah Thoughts in video format, click HERE Subscribe to the Torah Thoughts BLOG for exclusive written content! We're finally back after an accidental extended spring break due to mismatched schedules, traveling, mercury, etc., and we're excited to introduce you to an amazing guest! In episode #44 of the No Such Thing as Normal pod with Natalie Hayes and Jess McKeown we are chatting with not-just-another-color-therapist and healing guide, Walaa. Natalie had a deeply healing color reading based on her birth date with Walaa a few years ago that really impacted how she intuitively perceives the colors she's drawn to, and in this episode all our burning questions about color, healing, trauma, life, and the Universe get answered (mostly). We chatted with Walaa about her journey to color therapy, how she uses color to help her clients face their shadows and heal their trauma, the incredible work she's transitioning into next to take people even deeper down their healing path, and what various colors, aka spirits, communicate to her. As it turns out, the colors you are drawn to, or avoid, are subconsciously trying to tell you something! Walaa is so lovely to talk to and fascinating to learn from - we've never heard of anyone working with the frequencies of color the way she does before - and we're really excited to introduce her and her incredible intuitive gifts to you in this episode. If her work resonates with you and you'd like to explore more, you can find her on IG @walaa.colorways or discover your personal color archetype and sign up for her email list on her website at www.color-ways.com!

Oprah and Tyler Perry were among the executive producers behind "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' By Sapphire," which helped the Lee Daniels-directed film draw in big-name talent from the Black music scene -- such as Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz. The movie went on to earn several Oscar nominations in 2009, including one for Best Picture, as well as a couple of Academy Award wins (for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress). In this episode, Mike and Brian dig deeper into the world of "Precious," exploring what the film's choice to feature so many Black musicians does for its story; they talk highs and lows; discuss how a rewatch heightens or diminishes the film's emotional power; and finally, whether or not this film will make their top fives of the year.
