Matt rejoins the podcast to talk with Steve about the last two weeks of Blue Jays baseball, which saw Erik Swanson optioned, Cavan Biggio designated for assignment, Vlad play at 3B, Spencer Horwitz called up from AAA, and Lisa Loeb sending a heartfelt thank you to Yusei Kikuchi. Plus, the Jays played some games? Matt & Steve talk about Manoah's season-ending surgery, Gausman's first complete game shutout, and discuss the possibility of the Jays' competitive window closing and possible apathy sinking in. Plus in personal outcomes, slime, lunchables, back pain and hotmail. Make sure to listen to Matt's bonus interview with Andy McCullough as he talks about his book The Last of His Kind: Clayton Kershaw and the Burden of Greatness. With Caley Thistle sitting just three points off the foot of the Championship, Stevie, Sandy and AY joint host Moff to record the first Wyness Shuffle podcast of 2024. As usual we discuss recent performances and touch on developments at the club, as well as offering up two exclusive interviews, but the big focus is on the January transfer window. How many new players can we realistically see coming in? Are there any gems out there for Big Dunc to unearth? Can Alex Samuel be everything that Cillian Sheridan wasn't? And is it possible to replace David Wotherspoon and Sean Welsh? All this and more coming up as we go through the window. Let's shuffle! 00:00:58: Welcome / Hopes for 2024. Moff introduces the panellists and we reveal our hopes for ICT in 2024 00:04:25: Game by Game. The panel discusses the Scottish Cup tie against Broomhill (00:04:40) and the recent league matches against Dundee United (00:13:20), Ayr (00:21:06), Airdrieonians (00:27:02) and Greenock Morton (00:28:30). 00:29:55: The Rest of the Season. How many more points might ICT need to survive in the Championship? We do the maths. 00:37:21: The Transfer Window. More in hope than expectation, we identify the areas of the park that should be the priorities for new signings and throw some names into the hat, then discuss the release of Sean Welsh and say goodbye to other departing players. 00:52:33: Talk to Me: David Wotherspoon. Has any other player made such a big impact in such a short time with ICT? Stevie cracks open the Kleenex for an emotional conversation with Dundee United's latest signing and gets his thoughts on Duncan Ferguson and playing for Caley Thistle, then the panellists discuss the interview. 01:19:20: Fantasy Window: With James ‘son of Jamie' Carragher joining ICT at the start of the window, we consider which other relatives of famous players we would like to tempt to the Highlands. 01:23:48: Talk to Me: Alex Chisholm (Clachnacuddin FC Chairman): Links between Caley Thistle and Inverness's sole remaining Highland League representative are strong. Moff sat down with the chairman of the Merkinch club to hear about his ambitions for Clach, his efforts to engage with the local community, and his belief in the importance of football to Inverness. 01:51:41: The Club. Intrepid reporter Sandy gives us a round-up of the issues we can expect to hear discussed at the Supporters' Trust meeting on Feb 3rd. 01:56:45: League Lookahead. We look at the forthcoming league fixtures against Raith Rovers, Queen's Park, Partick and Arbroath. 02:06:14: Competition Time. Moff reveals details of our latest fantastic competition prize and how you can win it.

I tease the bees, As they see, The plant staring back at thee. Sat on my window, Beautiful and bright, But never quite felt the light. I opened the hatch, In bee came, But I shut it off again. Wing in pane, Blood pouring in the rain, Sweetly sane.
This story came from a painful story of a person struggling with mental health issues and family members supporting that member. A girl named Grace had a very large window pane that would over look the Northern Eagle. The Wizard of the Northern Eagle made her be a slave. Every negative word would fall onto the window pane and there would be crystals formed.
Heidi Trudell, creator of Dead Birds for Science and Just Save Birds, picks up dead birds. In this episode, she gets straight into the uncomfortable subject of dead birds and tells you why she does what she does and what dead birds can teach us about architecture, your home, and what you can do to prevent window collisions that kill millions of birds a year. When you go to research this further, Heidi suggests to check all information against American Birding Conservancy (ABC) and Fatal Lights Awareness Program (FLAP Canada) websites as they are the best resources, as of the submission of this post.Show Notes:BirdMapperiNaturalistMigratory Bird Treaty ActWashtenaw AudubonBird Safe Solutions for your WindowsHeidi's PatreonFLAP CanadaHeidi's Website - Just Save BirdsAmerican Birding Conservancy - Bird CollisionsConnect with us at...IG: @Hannahgoesbirding and @Erikgoesbirding Twitter: @WeGoBirding Facebook: @HannahandErikGoBirding Email us at HannahandErikGoBirding@gmail.comWebsite: http://www.gobirdingpodcast.com

We like big butts and we cannot lie....what that has to do with our craft this week is anybody’s guess. We make a welcome “window” for one of our final “Booze and I Do’s” episodes. Plus: Tab goes to see The Dollop live and brings Dave and Gareth crafts! Jessye gives us the latest on marriage licensing…but wait, they didn’t already get married did they? And Brad still isn’t sure about his wedding date situation (then again, who WOULD want to date someone who went to a Shinedown concert?)
This is the last episode to the KOD line and I breakdown the sad song of Window Pain and explain why 1985 isn't a diss track.

Tova Mirvis joins The Virtual Memories Show to talk about her brand-new novel, Visible City and how she learned to act on her unhappiness, as well as the lifelong advice she got from Mary Gordon, the ways that writing a book is like building a stained-glass window, why being an orthodox Jew in Memphis wasn't just like Designing Women with better wigs, and the advantages of being offline for a week when the New York Times publishes your op-ed about getting divorced. "I set up a scenario where all of my characters were unhappy in one way or another, and they were all watching other people, as opposed to looking inward at their own lives. I didn't know what people do about that. I was writing a realistic novel, but part of me believed that no one actually acts on their unhappiness." We also talk about how one person's urge to freedom is another person's betrayal, why Visible City took her 10 years to write, what you can discover about yourself in your 40s and what you can leave behind, and the varieties of religious experience (ours, not William James'). "Orthodox Judaism and southern culture meld beautifully. In the south, there's a way we do things and a way we don't do things. And it's the same in orthodox Judaism. They're both very well-structured worlds. I grew up as a sort of cocktail of those two worlds." BONUS! You also get my essay/monologue about Jews & Geordies!
This series has been sitting around for two years. Notes, ideas, and many scriptures references. But, it wasn't until we were sitting listen to Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" and the lyric says, "As I watched you through the window leaving, I guess that's why that call it window pain." That was the moment it all came together. We have these moments where we watch life leave us. We've seen the movies where the character sits in pain as they look at the window. But, how do we deal with that in life? How do we handle pain? Does God promise to never let us experience pain? What does the Bible say about comfort? We'l take a look as we dive into the series, "Window Pain."
