Chloë Lum and Yannick Desranleau are installation artists who work across video, performance, sculpture, sound, text, and photography,. Their collaborative practice is rooted in the theatrical and choreographic, and examines the slippery and complex relationships between bodies and inanimate objects. Since several years, these subjects are examined through the lens of chronic illness. They are based in Tiohtiá:ke (Montréal) and have worked collaboratively since 2000. Their works have been exhibited internationally, and are included in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Art, and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. Considered one of the three most representative authors of modern Icelandic poetry by UK Poetry review. Multilingual author, he's won the Premio Afundación, biggest Galician poetry competition, with his book "Bazar de Traidores". "Sjóarinn með morgunhestana undir kjólnum" has been studied at the Literature Department of Iceland's National University. His poem "Þegar ég datt í dúnalogn" was selected for Jahrbuch der Lyrik 2021. His short anthology "Paid in lilies" was chosen as one of the best poetry-books of 2019 in English by PoetrySchool.com. His work is based on the possibilities of words and in the search for new voices, completely external to the author. When in live, he sings and performs poetry.
Kristín Svava Tómasdóttir is a poet and historian in Reykjavík, Iceland. She has published four books of poetry, the latest one, Hetjusögur (2020), being awarded the Icelandic Women´s Prize for Fiction. Stormviðvörun (2015) was translated into English by K.B. Thors as Stormwarning and published in a bilingual edition in the United States by Phoneme Media in 2018. For the translation, Thors won the American-Scandinavian Foundation‘s Leif and Inger Sjöberg Award and was longlisted for the PEN America Literary Award for translated poetry. Kristín Svava was one of the editors of the poetry series Meðgönguljóð (Take-Away Poems), published from 2012 to 2018, and has translated both poetry and fiction into Icelandic, for example Valerie Solanas‘s feminist manifesto SCUM and Cuban author Virgilio Piñera‘s poem La isla en peso. Abhishek Singh is an Independent filmmaker from India who is currently a MA (Film Studies) student at ELTE University, Budapest, Hungary. Recently, he shot his first Hungarian short film with the support of the National Film Institute Hungary. In the year 2020, he also directed and produced a feature-length film in India. During his stay in Hungary, he teamed up with Masar Smari, an Iraqi actor and scientist, to make Arabic poetry films on the concept of alienation.
