Cannot believe I gave birth two and a half weeks ago already. I also still cannot believe I gave birth. These past few days have been a whirlwind but I still cannot get over how our girl came into this world. As with anything else, I kept it real and raw and definitely too much TMI but I do not gatekeep. I love hearing other birth stories so I feel so grateful to you for listening to mine. It's now my favorite story to tell. I never want to forget a single minute of that day. Child birth is wild, primal, gnarly and transformative. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Women are fucking amazing.

Disco is one of those genres of music where you're probably not going to find a lot of people hating it. In fact, disco really feels like the genre for everyone. In today's episode, I talked with Ethan, one of the founders of Gimme Gimme Disco. He walked me through the development of how the company came to be, the draw of a disco party, as well as future plans for growth of the company. Here's a look at what you can expect in today's episode: An overlook of the Gimme Gimme Disco experience What indicated the need for a disco party in the market The draw to go to the disco shows outside of NYC How Gimme Gimme Disco originally got into the party scene with a viral Emo Night in Brooklyn Expanding their company from Emo to Disco to now additional genres of music The growth of the company and process of recruiting DJs to cover shows across the country and in Canada Future plans for the growth of Gimme Gimme Disco More information about Gimme Gimme Disco: Burwood Media was founded by two lifelong best friends, Ethan & Alex who grew up together in the same neighborhood, Burwood Park in the suburbs of London. Growing up they bonded over their love of music, concerts, and throwing epic parties together. In early 2015, inspired by the music of their formative years, they decided to throw a free party DJ'ing emo & pop punk music at a local bar in Brooklyn. This was the start of what would become national touring brand - Emo Night Brooklyn. After years of hustling (and lots of trial and error!) they then went on to build additional successful event brands including Gimme Gimme Disco, and Best Night Ever. With their years of experience in social media, digital marketing, and building their own unique systems and operations, they began to take on clients and Burwood Media was born.
