If you already heard it, you can fast-forward through a chunk of today's show. But don't miss the rest! Stigall tells you why last night's Al Smith charity dinner in NYC was hugely significant politically and culturally. Trump was in the zone while Kamala Harris skipped out to angrily scream instead. It feels like we're watching a campaign in collapse. (Time will tell) Plus, economist Andy Puzder speaks to the significance of Elon Musk campaigning for Trump and hear from a listener - and former RFK Jr. supporter - who attends the Elon event and is voting Trump. Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg addresses Harris' attempt to glom on to Israel's air strike killing a key Hamas leader. Big Tech wants more power for AI so they get it while you and I pay sky high energy bills. And the New York Times admits Kamala's plagiarism is real and "more serious" than first thought. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShow See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Disco is one of those genres of music where you're probably not going to find a lot of people hating it. In fact, disco really feels like the genre for everyone. In today's episode, I talked with Ethan, one of the founders of Gimme Gimme Disco. He walked me through the development of how the company came to be, the draw of a disco party, as well as future plans for growth of the company. Here's a look at what you can expect in today's episode: An overlook of the Gimme Gimme Disco experience What indicated the need for a disco party in the market The draw to go to the disco shows outside of NYC How Gimme Gimme Disco originally got into the party scene with a viral Emo Night in Brooklyn Expanding their company from Emo to Disco to now additional genres of music The growth of the company and process of recruiting DJs to cover shows across the country and in Canada Future plans for the growth of Gimme Gimme Disco More information about Gimme Gimme Disco: Burwood Media was founded by two lifelong best friends, Ethan & Alex who grew up together in the same neighborhood, Burwood Park in the suburbs of London. Growing up they bonded over their love of music, concerts, and throwing epic parties together. In early 2015, inspired by the music of their formative years, they decided to throw a free party DJ'ing emo & pop punk music at a local bar in Brooklyn. This was the start of what would become national touring brand - Emo Night Brooklyn. After years of hustling (and lots of trial and error!) they then went on to build additional successful event brands including Gimme Gimme Disco, and Best Night Ever. With their years of experience in social media, digital marketing, and building their own unique systems and operations, they began to take on clients and Burwood Media was born. Funny how time flies, isn't it – the keyword in this case being "funny," of course.  Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio (hey - that's Tabari's hometown, too!), Mike now calls  Michigan home when he's not on the road performing. Self-deprecating and smart and yet somehow also not the brightest guy means well, Mike spent several years honing his craft at clubs and colleges near his hometown before relocating to Chicago, where he hosted the popular showcase, “Best Night Ever.” A performer  at the inaugural Limestone Comedy Festival, he has gone on to hit stages at The Boston Comedy Festival, the 10,000 Laughs Festival and can be frequently seen opening shows for Tom Segura. He also co-wrote and co-directed the music video for “The Hipster Song” with friend Alex Stone (another Tight 45 alum), which has been viewed over 900,000 times on YouTube. His debut album Hot For Too Long is out now with a second album set to be released in 2022. On this episode (out on all major platforms on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022), Tabari and Mike chat about their history in comedy, Midwest life, how a teacher inspired Mike's comedy career ... Could you use a little more help with stress reduction? I know I could. And you know, I'm always on the hunt for the coolest and most impactful technology to help you stress less and feel better. In this show, I'm sharing with you a new device in the world of stress reduction and better sleep, and it's called Cove. I get a lot of products and technologies to try people send them to me, a lot of them tend to get redundant or don't deliver. But this one stood out because the more I learned about it, and what it does, the more I got intrigued, and the more impact it had on my personal well-being. Now why this one works is because the Cove works on an entirely different brain pathway and one which you may have never heard of. I know I haven't. And by the end of the show, you'll have a greater understanding and appreciation of why I like it. In this episode, I chat with the co-founder & CEO of Feel More Labs, Francois Kress. It's a VC backed health and wellness technology company headquartered in New York. They are pioneering a new category of wearable devices that train and tune the nervous system. The company launched Cove, which is a wearable with a patented technology that applies gentle vibrations behind the ears that initiate a natural biological pathway between the skin and the brain to help people sleep better and improve resilience. Just to give a little more background into Francois, his previous positions include President of Louis Vuitton and Southeast Asia, the CEO of LVMH fashion group Oceania, the president of Fendi, North America, the CEO of Bulgari, Americas, the President, and CEO of product Americas, the global CEO of The Row, global president of Stuart Weitzman, and most recently global CEO of Carolina Herrera. He has also served as the board member of Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, which is a biotech company acquired by Allergan, he was educated in science at the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique in France and holds master's degrees in both international business and civil engineering, which you will understand why that connection is there between the fashion and luxury background as well as the deep interest in science and technology.  We'll talk about his background in the luxury goods market and the mindset behind the people who both run it and consume it. We'll talk about what Cove is and how it works and why they call it a hug for your mind. We'll talk about the science behind the specific biological pathway you've never heard of, that Cove works on which makes it really different. Of course, we're going to talk about some sleep hacks because this is The Best Night Ever. We'll also talk about the challenges of launching and growing a business during the pandemic. I want you to think back to that one perfect night you replay in your head over and over. You know the one. It’s the night that if you could go back in time, you wouldn’t change anything. Instead, you’d just sit back and relive the magic. It was the night where the food was amazing, the beer pairing sung like angels and the conversation flowed like a cold lager on a hot day. Have you ever wondered what made that night so special? What if we could deconstruct that experience and put it back together at will? What if events like this had less to do with magic and more to do with physics or, gastrophysics. My next guest has studied and written about the psychology and the science behind events like this for years. In this episode, he shares some secrets to creating your next best night ever. We may not always be able to recreate the magic. Frankly, if every night were special, then none of them would be. But with the principles that Dr. Spence described in his books and on this podcast, you can certainly improve your odds that more of your events will be remembered for a very long time. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jeremy-storton/message

There are 3 pillars of health; movement, nutrition and sleep. In this episode, Angela is in conversation with Dr Jay Khorsandi Sleep Expert, Bio Hacker and host of ‘The Best Night Ever! Podcast. They look at the differences between sleep apnoea and snoring and how they can be treated and discuss the bio hacks that Dr Jay Khorsandi uses to optimise his own sleep. There are many elements that play a part in good sleep health including nutrition movement and lifestyle. Angela and Dr Jay discuss the research and what makes a difference including grounding, supplements and infrared light, as someone who has completely optimised his own sleep Dr Jay is someone who knows what works and why and this is a great opportunity to hear him share his knowledge, listen in and enjoy.   KEY TAKEAWAYS There is a big difference between sleep apnoea and snoring. Snoring is a result of the body and its muscles relaxing whilst sleep apnoea is when you repeatedly stop and start breathing during your sleep. Ideal sleep architecture is Initial deep sleep in 90-minute cycles moving towards REM sleep later in the pattern. How well you sleep at night starts with the routine of the morning before. When you wake you should get outside and look at the blue of the sky. During a sunrise, there is a high amount of infrared and you will benefit from the full spectrum if you are able to watch this. When we are sleeping the body is resting, rejuvenating and you need to give it the resources to do this. You need to have the right amount of sleep and the right quality. The 2 things that regulate our sleep the most are temperature and light. Earthing - As we go about the day we build up a positive charge in static electricity and we need to get rid of this because a build-up over time can cause inflammation and disease. The digital world means more EMF so it’s important to find ways to mitigate the effects and 20 minutes grounding each day with as much skin exposure is a good way to achieve this. There are 3 pillars of health movement, nutrition and sleep and if you can get these 3 in sync the chances of developing any chronic disease is decreased.   BEST MOMENTS ‘We have a set of rules in our DNA but we can change them through our actions and behaviours’ ‘The more you can connect to the earth the more you can get grounded’ ‘If you are using red light therapy you need to achieve a balance that optimises your sleep’   VALUABLE RESOURCES High Performance Health podcast series Transform your sleep DNA optimization  High Performance website Sleep biohacker Instagram Best Night Ever! podcast    ABOUT THE HOST Angela Foster Angela is a Nutritionist, Health and Performance Coach. This week's episode of The Whole Hog Podcast features Mark & Ruckus catching up with their old pal Jerry. It starts off like any other podcast, but turns into a drunken mess by the end. We're sorry. Also, Mark still has a love/hate relationship with the Braves, and Ruckus rambles on about various things because he's obviously the most drunk. We also review The Doom Generation on DVD, and Best Night Ever on Netflix. This episode of The Whole Hog Podcast is fueled by @PalmBreeze and @WillettWhiskey.
