Alright mama, let's keep it real—how many hours have you spent in the car, in a folding chair, or pacing the sidelines at practice, wondering what you could be doing with that time? If your hand is up, you're not alone. But I'm flipping the script. Just because you're waiting at practice doesn't mean your time has to go to waste. What if I told you there's a way to use that time to actually pour back into you—without adding more to your plate or losing your mind?

It's been a lot to hold—navigating work, home, expectations, and trying to still be you in the middle of all of it.This isn't just about logistics. This is about identity, peace, and trying to find your footing when the ground keeps shifting. So let me offer you three words that have been carrying me lately:Simple words. Big shifts. Life-changing when you lean into them.CommunicateDelegateDisassociatePress play, sis. You Are Worth the Work: More Than Just Your To-Do ListWe've been fed this lie that our worth is tied to how much we hustle, how busy we stay, and how much we achieve. But let me tell you, sis—you were worthy before the job, the kids, the never-ending to-do lists. I had to learn that the hard way when I walked away from my so-called "dream job" and realized it didn't love me back the way I loved it. Let's break free from this cycle and redefine what success really looks like. The Myth of Supermom – You don't have to do it all, all the time. Give yourself permission to embrace the mess.Redefining Success – It's not about picture-perfect pantries or job titles. What actually matters to you?Practicing Self-Compassion – Talk to yourself the way you'd talk to your best friend. No more self-judgment.Finding Joy Beyond the Grind – Reconnect with your passions, even if it's just five minutes a day.Setting Boundaries – Your time and energy are precious. Protect them like your peace depends on it—because it does. You are not "just" a mom. Not "just" an employee. Not "just" anything. You are you, and that is enough. Now go remind yourself of that every single day.You can always connect with me and give any feedback or show ideas at Kimberley@KimberleySanders.com or on the following social media outlets:Twitter: @KimSandFit31Facebook: Live YOUR Passion FitnessInstagram: @KimberleySanders_
My friend Amber has been talking about this for years, but my kids and I weren't ready. I tucked it away in my “mental thought cabinet,” like one of those tabs you keep open for later. Then I saw a post from Sam Kelly—you know, the one who calls herself a “feminist for moms” on Instagram—and it hit me: Now is the time; the transfer of household tasks to reduce mom's invisible load of responsibilities. How to actually give your kids more independence without feeling like you're losing controlWhat it means to teach responsibility through praise and modelingThe mindset shift that makes parenting feel lighter, not heavier Let's talk about making parenting feel doable while raising kids who are confident, responsible, and ready for the world.Check out Sam Kelly: IG:@samkelly_world and @samkelly_world | Linktree'Five Days to Control Your Calendar' is live, which can help you manage time with a 365-day planner because you are worth the work! You can always connect with me and give any feedback or show ideas at Kimberley@KimberleySanders.com or on the following social media outlets:Twitter: @KimSandFit31Facebook: Live YOUR Passion FitnessInstagram: @KimberleySanders_

She's loud, she's rude, and she does NOT know when to shut up.Here's what we're tackling: Why hustle culture is messing with our ability to relax How to stop feeling guilty for taking a break Real ways to redefine productivity (without burnout) Practical steps to invest in your restIf you've ever felt like rest is something you have to earn, this one's for you. Kimberly has practiced meditation for many years and share this stress reducing practice with others. As well as reminding women to keep them selves as a priority and take time for things they love. Welcome y'all to the great debate! Lead is better because you don't have to look at a screen! Digital is better because you can sync multiple calendars...even have events added when you buy your tickets because of "add to your calendar" options. But what if I told you you could do both? I went to bat for team paper and I went to bat for team digital. Depending on your life and level of responsible-ness one may work better for you than the other. I could not keep my darn iPad charged, ok? LOL But at the end of this episode, I offered a hybrid solution. See what you think! Please know, that when I tell you that all the things you are busy with is really just you procrastinating, don't pass by this episode because I am including myself in that activity. I've been reading "Busy, How To Thrive In a World of Too Much". What we don't realize, is all the things that have us runnin' pillar to post, could be getting in the way of us focusing on moving our lives or businesses forward. Be boring! Repetition is boring but you are worth it. When you continue to do the same thing it's like you are paving a road in your brain, so that pretty soon you are just on autopilot. I was recently asked by my boss for feedback and I got to thinking about my best way of learning which is repetition. I work with a lot of people who are wanting change. How do you make change happen? Repetitive baby steps working towards a clear and specific goal. I wanted to share with you how I create habit mastery. See if you can benefit from the steps I shared. You may get kick back from your brain and you just tell it to be quiet! You will be shocked when you look back and see how far you have come on mastering your habits. What could go wrong when you drive across state in an electric car? Lots, but this time, nothing. I decided to attend a convention for parents of multiples. I have the good guys (currently 8-year-old boy twins.) And I have finally warmed up to being in large groups of people which equates to chaos to me. So, I convinced my friend who also has twins to join me! We drove my electric car and I shared some tips I used when traveling a long distance in an electric car. You gotta listen to our first impressions and why we googled the official definition of resort...turns out you just need amenities. They had amenities just not the spa type we had expected. The staff was amazing and even had fried deviled eggs. We knew something was missing the we identified the relish was missing. Y'all put relish in your deviled eggs? Saturday ended up with a rodeo, my first and last. And a street party I did not attend because of an early morning meeting. "My healthy swap was yogurt with, you know, 56g of sugar!" LOL Shelby, a Certified Strength Coach (CSCS) and nutrition coach (PN), joked this with me as she shared how she went from working in a restaurant, being a heavy drinker and smoker to a popular blogger talking all things health. There was no specific pivotal moment she simply wanted to be healthier. Whatever that meant, just healthier. She knew the restaurant environment was not serving her and she wanted to change. So she wrote a gym owner asking if he would hire her and change her life. And he did! As she noticed small shifts like in her energy it encouraged her to keep doing a little more. Now Shelby has the Fit As A Mama Bear Blog and has shifted back to focus on fitness and the gym but there are a lot of good entries about healthy easy food. Shelby has three kids (7, 5, & 2) and shared how her priorities have created the structure for her days. She fills up her cup by enjoying her coffee in peace even though her kiddos are up around 5:10 a.m. each day. Then they migrate down to work out. The kids know that she's not leaving the house till the workout has been completed. She's setting an example and the kids understand fitness is fun not a chore. She put the importance on showing up. That's how she helps her followers. Shelby knows life with kids, work, and an unhealthy lifestyle. Start by showing up even if it's just two 5 min workouts. Scale back your mind to know it does not have to be a certain length of time or a certain structure. You have to start somewhere! Focus on one thing you can do to show up. Mama's now is your time! I want you to think about what you said, over the summer, that you wanted to do once the kids were back in school. Hopefully, you have established or practiced what the school day morning will look like now that some schools are and some are getting ready to be back in session. I shared how we did it and maybe it can help you. But I also pointed out that when you have a routine and the kids see you, the cup runneth over into their actions and what they think the expectations are. It's time to Restart Your Mojo! Think about this...You have to know you are worthy of love before you can begin to give yourself love. You won't prioritize most of these chilling out tactics when you don't think you are worthy of a break, a self-care day, a new plant, or whatever self-love and care look like to you. Angela D Coleman shared lots of ways to chill out including her favorite - a scheduled break. She loves to be productive and it shows in her life but she is intentional to stop and smell the roses. I mean I got some plants, Zoom Plant and Karate Rocket, as the good guys so lovingly named them but they don't foot the bill for me. You know I'm all about that action. Fitness and eating right are self care to me. But when life isn't showing those rainbows and sunshine, even here in Florida, I know I am in charge of my happiness. So what can I do about it all? You can turn to any part of her book and grab a quick way to boost your mood and chill out. Let your aura be a Love Beacon. I read an excerpt from this book so I hope you'll listen to the end. How can you chill out and take care of you to make sure you got enough in the tank to give to others who have come to expect it from you? Who need it from you? And I want to leave everyone with this... An affirmation for a heart-filled life "I embrace love in all of its forms bringing me light, brightness, and joy."- Angela D. Coleman Connect with Angela D. "Mommy you should talk about spending time with us because you are always in our room," said one of my sons. But the more I thought about it, he was right! I try to be intentional and spend time with my sons. I have tried my best to create a safe space where they can talk to me and I can get to know them better. I want you to create these special pockets of time where you too can intentionally have TIME with your kiddos to get to know them and talk about their interests or what troubles them. As a twin, I don't think they want to do everything together, neither do your children collectively. After all, they are two separate people! Your daughter may not want to share thoughts around her brother. Nor does an older sibling want to dive into a topic with their 6-year-old sibling chiming in. When you have one on one time with them you can talk about THEM, as an individual. Listen to learn why and how you too can... It probably comes as no surprise that the book “The Art of Chilling Out” was born, not conceived, but born during Covid. Like many others, Angela D. Coleman was using chilling out techniques to de-stress. And wouldn't you know it, she finally had time to get pen to paper. There are 100+ ways to chill out in this book. You don't want to miss Angela sharing how to incorporate multiple practices at once as well as the benefits of each. Angela is well accomplished from earning many academic certificates to starting a non-profit and a brand off that organization, for profit. Angela started her non-profit, Sisterhood Agenda, to surround women feeling alone. It's not fun to be an outcast or feel like you don't belong. She reminds women to put sisterhood on your agenda!
