Do You Bag-A Nut? Sweet Gum Ball Picker Review In this episode Craig and Kevin review the Bag-A-Nut sweet gum ball picker. Kevin has several sweet gum trees in his yard and the number of balls they drop is a staggering amount. It winds up being a pretty big issue during certain times of the year, and this new picker is a game changer. If you've got sweet gum trees, you'll want to listen to this episode. Or, if you have nut orchards, this might be an episode that you'll want to listen to as well! Introduction: In this episode of the Homeowner Show, hosts Kevin Hackett and Craig Williams dive deep into the challenges of dealing with sweet gum trees and their pesky gumballs. As homeowners, they've faced the frustration of these spiky, stubborn balls clogging up their yards and causing issues with their lawn equipment. But fear not, they've discovered a game-changing solution that could be a lifesaver for fellow homeowners dealing with the same problem. The Sweet Gum Ball Dilemma: Sweet gum trees are known for their beautiful foliage and impressive shade, but their gumballs can be a real nightmare for homeowners. Kevin shares his personal experience with the issue, explaining how the gumballs would get caught in his zero-turn mower's belts, leading to costly repairs and downtime. The situation had become so problematic that he was willing to invest in a solution. The Baganut Solution: Enter Baganut, a company that has developed a unique tool specifically designed to tackle sweet gum balls and other troublesome nuts and fruits. Kevin discovered this product after extensive research and was impressed by its effectiveness. The Baganut picker is a simple yet ingenious device that uses a rolling wheel with tines to scoop up the gumballs and deposit them into a collection hopper. The Baganut Picker: Kevin walks us through the different models available from Baganut, ranging from a 12-inch push model to a 36-inch pull-behind option. The larger models even feature collapsible crates for easy disposal of the collected gumballs. The company's customer service and return policy were also noteworthy, with a 30-day guarantee on all products except the sweet gum ball picker, which they claim no one ever returns. The Benefits and Potential: Using the Baganut picker, Kevin was able to clear his entire yard of sweet gum balls in just a few hours, a task that would have been arduous and time-consuming without the tool. He also mentions the potential for his son to use the picker to earn some extra money by offering the service to neighbors with sweet gum trees. Conclusion: The Homeowner Show has once again provided a practical solution to a common homeowner's dilemma. The Baganut picker has proven to be a game-changer for Kevin, and it could be the answer for many other homeowners struggling with the nuisance of sweet gum balls. By sharing this innovative product, the hosts hope to empower their audience to tackle this challenge and reclaim their yards with ease. Disney has been remaking their cinematic classics for many years now. These remakes have gained popularity in recent years and are part of Disney's strategy to capitalize on their extensive catalog. Disney remakes serve several purposes. They allow Disney to introduce classic stories to a new generation of audiences, often with updated visuals and contemporary themes. They also provide an opportunity to monetize existing intellectual property and expand the Disney brand. Many of these remakes come from the company's large catalog of full-featured films like, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Herbie, and The Absent-Minded Professor. Recently we have seen an increase in the remaking of many animated classics into live-action adaptations, like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. But the remakes have faced criticism for being overly reliant on nostalgia and not offering much that is new or innovative. But are there movies that Disney would not remake? In this episode, Rachel and Jeremiah are going to tackle this exact question. They go over 10 classic Disney films that they believe the company will not try to remake. Hear their thoughts about each picture and why they think a remake is not going to happen. Connect with Mouse House Weekly: Facebook community Twitter Instagram Golden Spiral Media Feedback Page
This week we find the origin of Flubber and we are left no closer to finding out ANYTHING about it. A clearly older Fred MacMurray woos Nancy Olson or...forgets to? Either way it's awkwardness that can only be saved by non-sentient flying rubber. And for some reason Tommy Kirk is a villian...but with no explanation as to how he becomes fred's closest confidant in the sequel? Why does Flubber only leave us with questions? Help us unlock them this week.

BRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNGGG!!! Class is in session for a couple of daft pupils! That's right, it's your boys Tim Q and Deefy boldly going where tons of people have gone before. Namely, a mediocre movie from 1961, The Absent-Minded Professor! If you've been needing that sweet sweet Tommy Kirk fix, look no further. Because guess what? He's in this! So's the saggier-faced analog of Andy Griffith, the lovable (maybe just likeable?) Fred McMurray! It's not Robin Williams, but this is the origin of the 1998 remake of Flubber. It's... fine. I guess. But who better to lead you through a sea of mediocre scientific pseudo jargon than a couple of seasoned Diz vets armed to the teeth with Malort? Nobody, says I! Sit back and lube up, cause we're about to flub the shit outta you!
It's very apt that our 360th episode is for a Disney sequel that is basically a full-circle repeat of the original film. Because SON OF FLUBBER is essentially a beat-for-beat recreation of the original Absent-Minded Professor, with some cosmetic changes (eg, football instead of basketball). So forgive our hosts if they wind up talking about anything else, including fond farewells to four big names from Disney's history - Tommy Kirk, Fred MacMurray, Keenan Wynn and director Robert Stevenson.

So much great stuff to catch up on and Enjoy! Sci-Fi Saturdays/MCU Location Scout Be sure to check out Jay's articles on Retrozap.com. In the last few weeks he has covered the Kurt Russell film that started a TV franchise, Stargate; the first Trek movie with Picard as the captain, Star Trek Generations; and Godzilla vs Space Godzilla. And make sure to check out MCULocationScout.com for some Ms Marvel locations. Enjoy Fathers! Did you have a positive father figure in your life? We hope so. Even though both Jay and Shua had supportive and teacherly dads, they still were influenced by other dads in movies and TV. Back in the 60s, Fred MacMurray brought his Absent Minded Professor to life when he helped the students at Medfield College achieve greatness through flubber. For the next generation, Robin Williams did the same thing in the remake, Flubber. While neither of these scientists had children, they were good role models to young people and made sure the bad guy got what was coming to him too. Rick Moranis played a father named Wayne Szalinski, who accidentally shrunk his kids in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. He may not be responsible when it comes to safely securing his equipment, he would do anything to protect his kids. Another Disney Dad that taught valuable lessons was Cornelius Robinson in Meet the Robinsons. Though there was a complex path for Lewis to get Cornelius's advice, it was still a great message. Doc Brown didn't have kids of his own, but I bet he felt like he was raising young Marty McFly through all of their time traveling adventures. In the end he had a great message that Marty could pass down to all his children that Doc probably visited too. And we have some honorable mention ‘dads' too. These TV scientist help us learn the value of lighting things on fire in our kitchen along with many other lessons. Who can you honor this week during Father's Day? What valuable lesson, science or otherwise, did that person teach you? First person that emails me with the subject line, “Science rules!” will get a special mention on the show. Let us know.
