I'm back and scuba certified - LOL. This week's in-between is catching up on all the life stuff going on, filling you in on the scuba certification experience (I know that is the most random thing ever), the home search (iykyk *cries*), and some exciting guests I have planned for the coming weeks. I'm also (finally) embracing my "delulu girl" era, otherwise known as delusional confidence. Who says I can't? It doesn't matter as long as I say I can. Cheesiness aside, this week's in-between is talking about that delusional confidence and addressing the question, why do we struggle with the constant feelings of guilt and pressure to DO DO DO when we need a break? Why does productivity guilt interfere when we need alone time? Why is it that when we need rest, our mind's make us feel like we don't deserve it? I don't have the fool-proof solution or answer to these questions, but I think today's convo around them will help. Remember, the most important voice is the one you have with yourself. Check out today's episode and embrace your delusional era too! Connect with me:@in.betweenpod on Instagram@elizabethcheney_ on Instagram@theinbetweenpodcast on TikTokThe In-Between Podcast on YouTube

Do you ever feel like some of the Self Love stuff on Social Media is too cheesy or fluff or annoying? Ha - I have! In this episode, I cut through (not “the”) cheese to get to what truly matters and how a lot of things in our life revolve around this topic. It’s easy to ignore, dismiss or go on auto-pilot with this topic but being aware and intentional about self love can help create positivity in so many areas of our life. I talk through the real-life application of loving yourself & how it can manifest in our life.
‘Tis the season for cheese. And by cheese, we mean romantic kind. Settle in with a blanket and cup of cocoa, and take a walk with C+D through this random assortment of holiday rom-coms. In this episode, we delve into the role that namecalling and meme-making can play in violence and even mass murder. Also, we also address more burning questions you didn’t know you had, like, does a child molester sandwich really have around 200 calories? Who are all these Karens and Stacys, Chads and Brads? Is the Becky of this very show the same Becky of Uggs and Starbucks fame, and is she really too busy gluing rhinestones back on her iPhone case to realize what's actually going on?! (Maybe) Is her biggest concern falling after her heel gets caught in the cobblestone while chasing after her boyfriend in the meat packing district? (Only sometimes!) Which should we fear more: Siri or Alexa? Claritin or Allegra? And, finally: Oh my God, Becky! Why does Merie want to see the manager?!

We compare original Bollywood cult classic 'Don' to its 2006 remake with Shahrukh Khan with SRK superfan, Mohammed Baloch. HIGHLIGHTS! Meet Baloch: narcissistically unprofessional Podcast host of BollyCast & secret club dancer by night. Baloch wants to remake everything! Baloch and I discuss the business of remakes; should the creative be the main consideration or the business aspects of it? I make Baloch concede that creative reasons for making films, should be the main consideration. What was the original 'Don', and the impact it had on Bollywood at the time. Baloch compares 1978 'Don' to other films of the time, and doesn't think it holds up. The surprising sexism in the original 'Don'. The even more surprisingly physical portrayal of Zeenat Aman as Roma in the original 'Don'. The songs are integral to moving the plot forward. The Cheesiness of 1978 'Don' is part of the story, and doesn't harm it as bad as others. Random movie scenes remind Baloch of intricate Porn scenarios. In a surprising turn of events, Shahrukh Khan super fan Baloch loves his version of 'Don' from 2006. The portrayal of the Don character by both Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan are unique in their own ways. Shahrukh Khan has to work a lot harder to be intimidating as an Gangster, than Amitabh Bachchan. Influences of Shahrukh Khan's depiction of Don. Clues left in 2006 remake of 'Don' that revealed the twist ending of the remake!
