You've probably heard of Samurai Jack and Dexter's Laboratory, and if you're a Genndy Tartakovsky fan, you know all about Star Wars: Clone Wars, Primal and Hotel Transylvania, too. But there's a good chance you might have missed out on his 2010 animated Cartoon network series Sym-Bionic Titan. The 20-episodes, one-season series (which is streaming on Netflix now) follows three young alien beings -- Lance, Ilana, and Octus -- who have the ability to combine to form a giant robotic warrior. But when they're not battling giant kaiju, they must attempt to blend into suburbia, all while protecting their new adopted home from the same beings that threatened to destroy their home world. We gave this one a revisit 10 years later thanks to a listener recommendation (Thanks, Jesse!), but was it good enough to avoid The Dip? Edward Harry Deezen is an American actor, voice actor and comedian best known for his bit parts as nerd characters in 1970s and 1980s films such as Grease, Grease 2, Midnight Madness, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, 1941 and WarGames, as well as for larger and starring roles in a number of independent cult films, including Surf II: The End of the Trilogy, Mob Boss, Beverly Hills Vamp and Teenage Exorcist. As a voice actor, he is recognized for his distinctively high-pitched and nasal voice, which has been used for the characters of Mandark in the Cartoon Network series Dexter's Laboratory, Snipes the Magpie in Rock-A-Doodle, Ned in Kim Possible and the Know-It-All Kid in The Polar Express. Fonseca and AMV talk about Halloween
Kat Cressida has had a tremendous voice over career. She has voiced 'Dee Dee' from Dexter's Laboratory, 'Electra' from Marvel video games, the voice match for Jessie in Toy Story events, 'Bloody Mary' from TellTale Games' legendary The Wolf Among Us video game and many, many more. Cressida is now sharing her incredible story of almost losing her voice to cancer, including how a special makeup artist for The Walking Dead came to be one of her guardian angels. Her heroic battle with the disease and her triumphant return to work is so surreal, it could only come from Hollywood...and the true story is stranger than fiction. Cressida will be appearing at the Midsummer Scream Horror Con as she celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, where she is the only living character as the voice of the Black Widow Bride (aka Constance Hatchaway). The convention takes place the weekend of August 3rd and 4th. Stay to until the end of the interview where we have a couple of bonus questions from a second phone conversation with Cressida. You can find Kat Cressida on Facebook at Kat.Cressida, Twitter @katcressida and Instagram @katcressida and for her speaking engagments visit her website at KatCressidaSpeaks.com #KatCressida #CancerSurvivor #VoiceActress

Play at your own peril! The team sneaks past the vaulted doors where impossible games may happen that world's never seen before. I did very minimal editing and cut almost nothing from the original recording. It makes getting episodes up easier and faster. But it means there's more "ums", "uhs", and pauses. However, the podcast sounds like a more natural conversation. This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Enter the Mind of Kevin, past the bolted doors where impossible things happen that the world's never seen before... Wait. No. That's the theme to Dexter's Laboratory. My bad. Anywhoo.. In the wake of Dexter's Laboratory's conclusion, visionary film maker Genndy Tartakovsky brought the world Samurai Jack. A show focused on pure visual storytelling with very little dialogue that could be used to tell any type of story: western, noir, comedy, adventure, anything. The series ran for 4 seasons from 2001 to 2004 until it was miraculously brought back in 2017, to give the show the proper conclusion it deserved. On this episode, we discuss the series as a whole as well as the final, 5th season and it's controversial ending.Season 5 Discussion (34:00)Series Finale, Spoiler Discussion (46:27)

Click "Play" to hear a Message Minute.Download the Podcast here: Google Music, iTunes, Stitcher, PlayerFM, mp3photo credit: Dexter's LaboratoryGood morning, this is Topher from Washington Church of Christ, bring you a positive Message Minute written especially for families. I believe the family is your own personal laboratory, where moms and dads get to experiment on their children to see what hinders and what helps in bringing about the best and most well balanced adults by the time they finally fly from the nest. Last week, we noticed a little bit of ingratitude creeping into our kids, you know, that kind that just grates on your nerves because of the thanklessness, complaining, and whining that it brings. This week, we're experimenting with what we read in our history books about the pioneer days of America. Our children only have one toy for the entire week, they only have two changes of clothes, we don't turn on the lights and night, and our food is much simpler, more repetitive, and a bit more bland. You know what we learned in this experiment? We learned that even dad can be more grateful for the daily blessings of life when he gets tired of eating beans every day. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."This experiment has been good for the kids and myself as well. I encourage you to experiment with your families and be grateful for the blessings you've been given. You'll be glad you did. ***Extra: We've also seen the kids show more imaginative and cooperative play, more help around the house, and the willpower to eat some of the food they don't like, because they know there is no snack and no dessert to follow. We've treated it as education, not as punishment, and the results have been great! Oh, and my wife has been enjoying other projects rather than spending so much time in the kitchen and cleaning up toys. We may need to make this an annual experimental event!***Click the logo below and subscribe to automatically receive these Podcasts every weekday morning on Google Play Music or iTunes. Gary's evocative sound holds audiences rapt and has bolstered the success of award-winning films and television series. Early on, Gary worked on animated children's series like: Tom & Jerry Kids Show, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and Dexter's Laboratory to moving onto documentary scores like Oswald's Ghost. Gary has worked on unforgettable compositions for director Rory Kennedy's Academy Award nominated film Last Days in Vietnam and HBO's documentaries, Brooklyn Dodgers: The Ghosts of Flatbush, and Kareem: Minority of One, and HBO's dramatic series Luck. A three-time Emmy-winner, Gary has most recently, he has earned critical acclaim for his epic score for the Academy Award winning film, O.J.: Made in America, directed by Ezra Edelman. Gary's intensely dramatic melodies and textures set the perfect tone for this haunting saga, depicting the rise and fall of O.J. Simpson from football legend to murder suspect.
Nineties Cartoons day is a very dangerous day. This week Kyle and Matthew take a nostalgic trip into the Aaahh!!! real animated world of '90s cartoons with comedians Keith Carey and Anna Valenzuela. They talk Nicktoons, Disney Afternoon, Cartoon Network and much more. They also discuss the delicate kid karma at play when the Northridge Earthquake ruined Kyle's chance to meet the Power Rangers. But Keith has no remorse for Kyle's house being destroyed after Kyle mentions he had the Real Ghostbusters firehouse playset. Also, Kyle and Anna chat about "Denver, the Last Dinosaur" and his lasting presence on Spanish TV. (It's kind of like if Morrissey were a dinosaur that liked to skateboard.) And the group attempts to answer one of life's great questions: How does CatDog poop? Check out Anna and Keith on the 12 Questions and Mean Boys podcasts, respectively! Following on our analysis of G.I. Joe back in Episode 39, this week we give the test of time to Marvel Sunbow's other iconic 80s cartoon series, The Transformers. Riding along in the fourth chair with CT, Pax, and Jeeg is Geek Fallout co-host and self confessed Transformers fanatic, Jeff Brown. Are giant transforming robots as badass as they were in 1985? Does the voice acting live up to the names on the IMDB page? Can an episode about a female robot ninja possibly be bad? Will we talk about Michael Bay? As the Earthlings say, "Maybe". In our Nerd To-Dos, we get doses of miniature painting, Alias, Return of The Living Dead, and Dexter's Laboratory. And in a Nerd Lunch first, this episode gets a little sponsorship action from Kill All Monsters! and our friend Michael May.
