This book provides insight into the impact of climate change on human mobility - including both migration and displacement - by synthesizing key concepts, research, methodology, policy, and emerging issues surrounding the topic. It illuminates the connections between climate change and its implications for voluntary migration, involuntary displacement, and immobility by providing examples from around the world. The chapters use the latest findings from the natural and social sciences to identify key interactions shaping current climate-related migration, displacement, and immobility; predict future changes in those patterns and methods used to model them; summarize key policy and governance instruments available to us to manage the movements of people in a changing climate; and offer directions for future research and opportunities. The book provides insights into how migration responses differ for slow- and rapid-onset climate-related hazards (including sea level rise, drought, flooding, tropical cyclones, wildfires, and others) It contributes to ongoing international discussions on the topic, which in recent years have emerged as key to UNFCCC negotiations and the UN Human Rights tribunal, and the subject of a special white paper commissioned by the White House in 2021 Finally, the book provides the most current synthesis of the state of knowledge in areas of theory, methodology, and policy considerations for climate-related migration and displacement, and will serve as a go-to resource on the subject This interview was conducted by Dr. Hannah Pool whose research focuses on human mobilities. We're chatting it out, because Kelsea has been knees deep in poop and needs a reminder that there are other people on the planet. In this episode Kelsea ponders the absurdities and contradictions of motherhood, the importance of setting the tone for herself at bedtime, and reveals what's been missing in her relationships. Rachael shares her secret on how to walk while working, and admits that she wants to be a sauna person. So get out your pens and take a sip of water. We'll tell you why in this episode. Oh! THE SECRET TO BECOMING MAGNETIC So many content creators struggle to gain an audience. The problem is that you're chasing people rather than being magnetic and attracting them to you. There is a difference between pursuing and attracting. When you only create content, you need to continuously put that content in front of people. In this episode, we discuss how to become someone worth listening to.   00:00 Attract, Don't Chase, Audience Growth 05:43 Kelsea Ballerini's Genuine Charisma 08:10 Kelsey's Special Selfie Moment 09:47 Kelsey's Quest for Radio Airplay 14:50 Podcast Growth and Community Success 17:17 Context Over Content in Creation 21:46 Dull Architecture Class vs. Engaging History Teacher 24:58 Reviving Human Connection Movement 28:08 Focus on Impact, Not Overload 30:49 Dismissive Critique of Experience 33:35 Goal-Setting and Success Support   In this episode of Podcast Talent Coach, I dive into what it truly means to "Be Magnetic." It's not just about chasing an audience but rather attracting them effortlessly by being authentically you. Drawing from my own experiences in the podcasting world and the entertainment industry, I highlight how being genuine and embracing your unique qualities can set you apart. It's like dating – being needy can push people away. Instead, embrace who you are, and let your authenticity draw people to you. Become magnetic. STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT LIKE KELSEA I was recently inspired by a Kelsea Ballerini concert. Not only did she captivate a full arena with her presence, but she also made each person feel connected to her personal stories and songs. Kelsea's ability to make everyone feel special exemplifies the power of relatability and personal storytelling. Your podcast can have the same magnetic effect. It's about personality, engagement, and making your audience feel seen and heard. Kelsea's journey shows that the personal connections we make with our audiences are the real stars of the show. DISCOVER YOUR STRONG FOUNDATION As I reflected on my journey, I realized how crucial it is to focus on helping people become voices of influence. This episode is a call to remember the roots and mission of why you chose to share your content – to connect and communicate your unique message! Your content should resonate with your personal brand and maintain authenticity. Just like Kelsea's pop-infused country tracks are true to her, your content should reflect your own unique voice and perspective. Your podcast will naturally become a beacon for your tribe when it's founded on the real you. BREAK FREE TO BE MEMORABLE AND MAGNETIC We venture through the challenge of avoiding falling into the trap of merely fulfilling requests as podcasters. It's not enough to just deliver content; you must be someone worth listening to. It's about creating a legacy-like influence where your presence is unforgettable. This episode is packed with tips to free yourself from the shackles of traditional formats and embrace new, innovative ways to share stories. Be remarkable. Create content that stands out, and in turn, you'll foster relationships with your audience. EXPLODE YOUR AUTHENTICITY Want to go from chasing downloads to exploding your audience organically? It begins with embracing your authenticity and confidently broadcasting it to the world. Rounding out the project, The Rock Music delivers signature renditions of renowned favorites “All Hail King Jesus” and “You're Beautiful,” songs with deep meaning to the collective's Salt Lake City congregation as well as the Yetton family.      “There are two messages that I hope resonate with listeners,” Caleb Yetton says of the title-track and overarching theme of the EP. “First, we are fully known by God and fully loved. Because of the love and grace of Jesus, we have a home in Him, and we drink the Living Water that quenches our thirst for belonging. Secondly, we are not alone in feeling misunderstood, unknown or insecure. As we have played 'No One Knows Me Like You' in our worship services and unpacked the idea behind it, people are impacted by the message. The enemy would have us believe we are the only ones who are messed up or lonely, but that is not true. We all need Christ's love to heal us.”           Email: Rick@RickLeeJames.com Blessings, Rick Lee James Get the new song - Whatever You Do Up on the Mountain Also, Don't forget to swing by Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or your favorite streaming platform and hit those follow buttons! Hormones are chemical messengers that coordinate the functioning of our bodies. We send a lot of messages these days and we all know what can happen when we forget to hit send or it goes to the wrong place. And we aren't all doctors and hormonal health can feel mysterious and unmanageable. The one thing we all seem to intuitively know is when something feels off. Scientists know of more than 50 hormones in the body but today we are looking at estrogen across a lifespan.  Our guest is Dr. Chrisandra Shufelt, a women's health internist and a certified menopause practitioner. She is the past president of the Menopause Society and an expert in the area of women's hormonal health. Listen to what Dr. Shufelt has to say about a reversible condition that results in irregular or absent periods, called functional hypothalamic amenorrhea, that can put your heart health at risk. Do you feel undereducated when it comes to the loss of estrogen during perimenopause and menopause? "I think that's actually why New Age is so dangerous, because there's so much about it that are counterfeits of the restored gospel. There's so much about it that feels true and sounds true, you can convince yourself it is true because it's a bunch of truth mixed with lies. It's a counterfeit of part of the restored gospel. I think that's why a lot of LDS women seem to gravitate towards it because it's so similar to what they already know and feel. That's what makes counterfeits so dangerous is that they look like the real thing. Even meditation is not bad, I think the highest form of meditation is prayer. What is prayer if it's not meditating with God? Do you want to spend this 20 minutes meditating with yourself and just opening your mind up to whatever? Or do you want to spend that 20 minutes meditating with God in prayer, which is something you already have? And then there's energy healing, but where does the healing come from? These people don't have the priesthood they're not getting it from Christ. So where is that coming from?" In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Kelsea Cannon, a former pelvic floor physical therapy specialist who now helps women navigate perimenopause and reconnect with their bodies' innate wisdom. I have also had the pleasure of meeting her in person twice this year, which inspired us for this podcast interview to happen! In Tropical Human Design Kelsea is a Projector and in True Sidereal she is a Manifesting Generator. Kelsea shared her inspiring journey from traditional healthcare to a more intuitive, holistic approach to women's health. We discussed how Human Design played a significant role in validating her unconventional path, both personally and professionally. This led us to explore the importance of trusting one's intuition in health and business decisions, a theme that resonated throughout our conversation. One of the fascinating aspects of Kelsea's work is how she balances practical strategies with energy healing in women's health, especially during perimenopause. We delved into the parallels between entrepreneurship and women's health, highlighting the value of experimentation and self-trust in both areas. Kelsea emphasized the importance of slowing down and listening to one's body, particularly when making important decisions. We also discussed Kelsea's experience with both tropical and true sidereal Human Design charts, and how they've deepened her understanding of herself. This led to a broader conversation about creating spaces for women to discuss often-overlooked topics like hormones, blood sugar stabilization, and nervous system regulation. Kelsea shared a powerful story about trusting her intuition in a business partnership, demonstrating how following our inner knowing can lead to better aligned opportunities. Throughout our chat, the importance of being authentically oneself in business and life emerged as a central theme. Remember, as Kelsea beautifully put it: "Be you. One of our most asked questions is: How do I stop stress eating? We have the answer! But we also have the anti-answer. Confused? Stress eating is absolutely a behavior that we can exhibit in an unbalanced way, but it's also NOT an unnatural behavior or something that makes you broken. Guess what..turning to food as a form of comfort or joy is completely NORMAL! Let's identify our individual feelings instead of putting them all in the stress bucket. Only then can we use our tools to deal with them instead of reaching for that bag of chips every time.  Are you stressed? Or are you bored, or sad, or angry or anxious? You can plan for these emotions and respond with go-to tools. Food can certainly help but don't let it be your only response. And there are several players in this game: gender, genetics, social conditioning, metabolism, gut health, to name a few. So stop blaming your willpower! It's not that simple. And remember: you always deserve food. If you make it a big deal in your mind that's FAR more damaging than what you binged. So be kind and serve yourself a healing helping of coping mechanisms.
