Through his social media brand "Anomaly Hunter" he delves into everything from the paranormal to UFOs, and explores all things unknown. He has always had a passion for adventure and discovery. His newest book, "The Mysteries of Kurupira" is about an isolated table mountain in the Amazon Rainforest that is a nexus for all sorts of high strangeness and unexplained phenomena. This mountain, named Kurupira, which is currently completely inaccessible and was mysteriously removed from all maps, is said to be the real life inspiration behind "The Lost World" by Arthur Conan Doyle. It has been the epicenter of sightings with seemingly prehistoric creatures, alien-like entities, and even more terrifying mysteries for over a century. The book is available on Amazon here: https://a.co/d/a3g9yWL His previous book, "The Lands Forgotten by Time: A Cryptozoologist's Guide to Lost Worlds and Legends" is available on Amazon. This book chronicles his research and investigation into the most unexplored, untouched, and exotic locations on earth. These ‘lost worlds'—places forgotten by modern civilization, indeed may constitute the last refuge of creatures long believed to be either mythical or extinct. These regions of the globe, which have existed in almost complete and utter isolation, may conceivably secretly harbor what will become the greatest scientific discoveries of our time. The book is available here: https://a.co/d/bZrMZat His first book, The Last Dinosaur of the Lost World: My Search for 'Little Nessie' is available on Amazon. This book chronicles his investigation of a mysterious but amazing story out of Venezuela, concerning the sightings of a dinosaur-like creature that was spotted on a real life 'lost world' plateau. From learning about this creature as part of an obscure and forgotten internet post, to tracking down every eyewitness on record and learning of its recorded history, this book chronicles the complete investigation of one of the world's most mysterious but amazing cryptids, the 'Little Nessie' of Angel Falls. The book is available here: https://amzn.to/34TNw8D You can see Ben's work producing bigfoot, paranormal, and sasquatch investigations with his investigation team “Anomaly Hunters” on YouTube: https://youtube.com/@anomalyhunters Anomaly Hunters is a team of Investigators looking into every aspect of the unknown and every kind of bizarre phenomena, from bigfoot, to the paranormal, to UFOs, and more. On this week's episode Phillip is joined once again by author Jennifer Upton https://www.jennuptonwriter.com/ to discuss the Douglas Sirk's 1954 film Magnificent Obsession. They start the show by talking a little about the film. Phillip plays an audio clip of Tarantino talking about the melodrama of Magnificent Obsession. Then Phillip reads the general information about the movie. It's then time for Listener Opinions from Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Phillip and Jennifer then discuss the film, and they have a fun time. They answer the question of whether they noticed anything Tarantino might have liked or used in a film. It's then time to individually rate the movie. Would they buy this movie, rent it, or find it for free? Phillip gives his Phil's Film Favorite of the Week; Speak No Evil (2024). Jennifer gives the name of a movie that she watched this week; The Last Dinosaur (1977). Then Phillip talks about what's coming next week. Joe Verbeke from the Horror Pop Extravaganza podcast, will join Phillip once again and the two will discuss Silver Bullet (1985). Thanks for listening.

Something of a retread of The Last Dinosaur, the usual gang is back -- "Tom" Kotani directing, William Overgard writing, Benni Korzen producing, Maury Laws providing music, and all under the auspices of Rankin & Bass. It's also something of a King Kong story where the titular ape is taken from his home in Africa to Bermuda where he's feared by the local authorities who hire a big game hunter (Jack Palance) to stop the ape from killing innocent victims.

So, the title kinda tells you what you are in for. I had simple plans of simple jokes and simple review. The review did happen, the conclusion was achieved, however, it was sandwiched in between two slices of crazy bread, and I didn't get it from Little Caesars. Please do let me know if you decide, at the end of all this, if you accept my challenge! I'll also leave a link at the bottom to the review I was a part of in the other show I co-host.   ~Dave   https://youtu.be/OgDS1kJeaVY

Ben is a very well-studied storyteller on many topics including the UFO anomalies, secrets of the Mayan, Incan, and Aztec empires, Annunaki timelines, and the ever-present puzzle of the Egyptian pyramids, the Sphinx, and other stunning artifacts of the Lost World. Back in 2007, when I stumbled upon a mysterious post on a message board that detailed sightings of a strange, dinosaur-like creature living on an isolated jungle plateau, my first reaction was: the author must have been reading too much Arthur Conan Doyle! The post detailed an amazing eyewitness account, and included photos as proof. Part of me was incredulous, but another part of me wanted to believe. Over a decade later, this story had stuck with me, so I started to investigate. Who had written it, were the people mentioned in it even real, and most importantly: could any of it be true? What began as a random trip down an obscure online rabbit hole, morphed into a full-fledged investigation as I started researching the real people, places, and history behind this bizarre and amazing cryptid living deep in the jungle far from civilization. This book is the result, putting together the words and pictures of scientists, researchers, explorers and adventurers, into the complete story of what may well be a living dinosaur, the “little Nessie” of Angel Falls. https://www.altmediaunited.com Follow Loco Listens Podcast on all platforms https://linktr.ee/locolistens Connect with Listeners @ www.t.me/locolisteners Share, Subscribe, and Stay Groovy! Everyone Dies In Sunderland: A podcast about growing up terrified in the eighties and nineties

We interrupt this podcast for a very special episode where the gang talks harrowing children's television of the eighties and nineties with Dave and Steve from the deservedly popular Scarred for Life books and stage shows. As regular listeners know, for the true crime happening literally down our roads, the most upsetting moments of our childhood were televised. Moments like Captain Planet meeting Hitler, Nutsy doing the Green Mile in Lady and The Tramp, Barney Rubble's suicide attempt, teatime lynching in Scarf Jack, Noseybonk, and the unexpectedly downbeat conclusions to Blake's 7, Dinosaurs and Denver the Last Dinosaur. And Ghostwatch. Bloody hell, Ghostwatch. We also talk about the triggering effect of News Reports, which were frequently so apocalyptic I found myself hyperventilating about Princess Anne getting married. We also learn what Gareth likes to watch on the internet when his wife is in bed. Didn't believe those stories about Mother Seddons, did you?  Fee fie foe fum...You can learn more about Scarred for Life here, buy volume one here and buy volume two here. They also have some live shows coming up:·         Wigan, February 17th ·         Harrogate, February 25th ·         York, May 21st  You can reach us on email everyonediesinsunderland@gmail.com, on Twitter at @everyonediespod, on Facebook and Instagram. Our theme music is usually the song “Steady Away” by Pete Dilley and can be found on his album Half-truths and Hearsay which you can/should buy/stream here: ttps://petedilley.bandcamp.com/album/half-truths-and-hearsay  But this week it isn't. “Public sex versus social skills versus gunboats, giants and bands that kill”
