Topical Sermons / Speaker:Berry Kercheville Every Member Has a Part: Can You Invite? Luke 5:27-32 What do we learn from this text? Levi was proactive and used an opportunity instead of having a private dinner party with Jesus. A meal together draws people closer to one another. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. Who are the best opportunities? We are “salt.” We must touch the lives of “sinners” for them to be saved. There are two scriptural approaches churches and individuals have used to get Bible studies: Personal & Impersonal. Impersonal approaches are where we are inviting people to “come and see.” (Invitations to attend a church worship, group Bible study or via social media),  Jesus used an “impersonal” approach when he preached the parables in Matthew 13 to thousands. He transitioned to “personal” when some came into the house and asked the meaning of the parables. Personal approaches are more private, personal studies with one or two Christians. In these studies we can directly deal with the individual needs and questions of our friend. Opportunities may be created for this invitation by developing personal relationships and friendships. Do you need any more friends? (Example of the elderly group in Oregon)  Advantages and disadvantages:  The advantage of an impersonal approach is (1) that it is easier and less intimidating to inviter and invitee to offer a group Bible study than to be more direct with an individual “one on one” study. (2) Large groups of people can be invited at once.  The advantage of a personal approach is that the teacher can gain a deeper friendship or relationship that is so helpful in bringing a person to Christ. When we read 1 Thessalonians 2, we see the deep love between Paul and the church that was developed through Paul giving his life and soul to them.  Enables “reasoning” & answering personal questions. This exhibits Paul's teaching style: Paul “reasoned” (exchanged thought with thought) with the people he taught. As did Jesus, he often started with an impersonal approach (preaching to a synagogue group), but conversions came from the discussions from individuals who approached him after the sermon. Which approach should we use? That depends on the circumstances. Both approaches are needed. Impersonal approaches offer widespread invitations that can lead to personal studies. However, the most successful Bible studies in terms of coming to Christ, comes much easier from the personal approach. What is the best and easiest way to get an and opportunity to invite? Do you need any more friends?  Berry Kercheville The post Reaching The Lost: Every Member Has A Part: Can You Invite? appeared first on Woodland Hills Church of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12–31 teaches that one body, many gifts—every member matters in the life of the church. As we conclude our series in Why Jesus Came to Die, Tom preaches from Revelation 7:9-17. In this passage we see the great multitude that will stand before God when he comes again, in pure white robes and praising His name. But who are these people? They are from every tribe, tongue and nation - from the farthest reaches, to the next door neighbour. As Tom unpacks these verses for us, we see their real impact on the lives of people at Cornerstone - and we look at what the Cross of Christ really means to each person.

Todd Gabler knocked on every door he could find. Over 34 years as a PI, he's conducted thousands of interviews. He talked to Eric's friends, Kouri's friends, business associates, family members — nearly 50 people in total. But when he reached out to Kouri's side of the family, every single one of them shut the door. Her mother. Her brother. Everyone connected to her. Not one conversation. That wall of silence was just the beginning. Gabler had already pulled phone billing records that showed Kouri's housekeeper — a woman with a drug-related criminal record — was among her most frequent contacts in the months Eric died. He put GPS trackers on multiple vehicles. He built a timeline the police hadn't assembled yet. And the man who'd spent his entire career defending accused people found himself constructing the case against one.In Part 1 of this three-part conversation, Gabler sits down with Tony Brueski and walks through how the investigation began — the moment a routine civil job turned into something he couldn't turn away from, and what a family's complete refusal to cooperate told him before he even asked his first real question.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Brian Vos: Thursday and Friday, April 23 and 24, 2026 Join Westminster Seminary California for their Annual den Dulk Lectures on Pastoral Ministry. This year, Rev. Brian Vos will be speaking on the topic of "You Have Need of Endurance." The lectures will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 23 and 24, 2026 in the WSC Chapel at 10 am on both days. This event is free and will be livestreamed. Endurance is the great need of the Christian life (Hebrews 10:36); it is also the great need of those called to shepherd God's sheep. The book of Hebrews provides both the reasons and resources needed to endure in pastoral ministry, as it calls us to look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Tired of searching for family-friendly Christmas movies, only to find options that clash with your values? Not sure which holiday films are actually worth gathering everyone around the TV for? Catherine shines a light on the dilemma facing so many Christian parents today: how can we find Christmas movies that are both wholesome and engaging—not just repeats of worn-out classics, but films that affirm faith, family, and the real reason for the season? In this special “best of” holiday edition of Christian Parent/Crazy World, Catherine steps into the critic’s seat to deliver her curated list of 5 Family-Centered Films for Christmas. After being shocked by the inclusion of edgy, agenda-driven titles in mainstream “best Christmas movie” lists, Catherine was inspired to seek out fresh, faith-forward options that won’t leave you cringing or hitting “stop.” Here’s her handpicked lineup, designed to offer fresh options you likely haven’t already worn out—and to fill your home with joy and true Christmas meaning: Kids’ Pick: Journey to the Christmas Star – A Norwegian fairy tale adventure with wholesome themes and just a hint of magic, perfect for little ones. Guys’ Pick: Joyeux Noël – A moving, true WWI story about the Christmas Eve ceasefire, exploring big questions of faith, war, and reconciliation (best for teens and up due to mature content). Girls’ Pick: The Christmas Candle – A charming British period piece set in a candle-lit village, based on Max Lucado's novel, brimming with questions about miracles and faith. Date Night Pick: The Family Man – A romantic, funny exploration of priorities and purpose, reminding parents (and couples) of the value of family over fleeting worldly success. Family Pick: The Nativity Story –Catherine’s top recommendation, this beautifully faithful retelling of Mary and Joseph’s journey brings the original Christmas story to life—and into your living room. For each film, Catherine shares why it matters, where you can watch it, and what to be aware of for younger viewers. She encourages listeners to use these films as a springboard for meaningful family conversations about faith, sacrifice, the supernatural, and what Christmas is truly about. She also invites families to discuss where these movies align—or deviate—from biblical truth, fostering discernment and depth. Finish your holiday season feeling equipped, inspired, and ready to lead your family in a Christ-centered celebration. Reflect and Respond:Which Christmas film has sparked a meaningful conversation in your family about faith or values? After tuning in, share your own recommendations or thoughts with Catherine and the CPCW listeners—and make sure to check out her complete list with streaming links at www.catherineseagers.com. Don’t miss out on the resources, encouragement, and conversations that set your family apart in a culture that often forgets Christ at Christmas. Tune in, and let’s put faith back at the heart of the holiday! Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Prayer of Grace By David Cunningham May I use these arms to hold the world tenderly May I use these hands to heal all who suffer May I use these eyes to see the divine within all people May I use these ears to listen for the truth May I use this mind to think of us as light beings May I use this mouth to create possibility, remembrance, awareness, devotion and creation itself May I use these feet to walk in the world and bestow grace on all May I use this heart to love without condition May I use this whole being to anchor the dimension of love on this planet Your Love Does Matter: A Journey to a New Consciousness and Expanding Your “Love Footprint” By David Cunningham Clearing the Way for You to Live “As Love” —Truly Unconditionally Loving & Accepting The Essential Factor for Effective and Fulfilling Communicating, Relating and Leading A Book That Will Be Delivered Into the Hands of Every Member of Congress There are books that tell you that you should unconditionally love your relationship partners, your children, your friends, your colleagues, your community, your adversaries and yourself. And then there is a book that transforms you INTO unconditional love itself, so that you CAN unconditionally love, and accept all that is without judgement or making anything—or anyone—right or wrong. That is David Cunningham's remarkable Your Love Does Matter: A Journey to a New Consciousness and Expanding Your “Love Footprint.” This gem of a book rapidly clears the obstacles that prevent you from stepping into your purist existence as love, as the divine presence, as the universal essence—and opens you to an entirely new way of being, experiencing the world and being fully engaged as a force of love—expanding your “love footprint.” David Cunningham sees his mission as Love Prevailing as the Preeminent Way of Being on the Planet and engaging humanity in establishing a positive “Love Footprint.” He is tackling one of the biggest stages today—The American Congress. Through his Love Goes to the Capital Movement, he is gearing up to deliver a copy to every member of Congress during the winter session. He'll be inviting political leaders into a deeper conversation on compassion, humanity, and the power of love to guide public service. If you don't know David Cunningham, you should. Beginning as a special education teacher, he became a leading advocate for children and families, spearheading Parents Anonymous Groups, a collaboration for juvenile justice, and a national nonprofit preventing child abuse. From there, he spent three decades leading one of the world's most transformational programs, the Landmark Forum, personally impacting hundreds of thousands worldwide. David Cunningham knows how to make an impact! But David's personal story is equally compelling. Raised in a Christian home that became violent, he was indoctrinated into believing that he was evil and sinful—all the more so because he secretly knew he was attracted to other boys. The message was clear that he was somehow wrong or bad. So he married and raised a family before finally awakening to his true self and the divine being that he is. David, who lost his first husband to AIDS, and has been with his current partner Bill for 30 years, is a staunch advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Having come from a world where love was conditional, today he is passionate about creating a world where no one ever feels less than loved, respected and acknowledged—regardless of what they have done, who they are or what they believe. What counts is what you do NEXT – and doing it from a place of love. David Cunningham is a renowned transformational teacher, spiritual practitioner, and lifelong advocate for humanity. He holds your hand as he takes you down the path to your own heart. Allowing you to propel your love into a world in desperate need of compassion, empathy, forgiveness and simple acknowledgement. With this book you have the tools.

Anthony Scaramucci, the man famously fired by Donald Trump as his director of communications after just 11 days sits down with Joanna Coles to dish on why every one of the current cabinet will suffer his fate—or worse. He predicts the fate of Trump's would-be successors JD Vance, Marco Rubio and more. The Mooch, who campaigned relentlessly against Trump in 2020 and 2024 tells which Democrats can win the White House in 2028, why and what big moves they need to make now.
