Collin kicks off a miniseries of cryptids with mysteries of Gator Man and the Beast of Busco. In 1973, residents of New Jersey began reporting sightings of a large humanoid alligator dubbed Gator Man. Though first spotted in 1898 by a farmer named Oscar Fulk, it wasn't until 1949 when Indiana residents began witnessing an enormous snapping turtle estimated to be over 500 pounds, they named the turtle the Beast of Busco or Oscar after the man who had originally spotted him. Though the story and multiple efforts to capture the turtle became a national sensation, no proof of its existence has ever been produced. You can follow Gina on Twitter @GinaIppy.
