Today we talk about the Murder of Stacey Mitchell. In 2006, 18 and 19 year old Jessica Stasinowsky and Valerie Parashumti were arrested after murdering Stacey in their Perth home. It's a new theme called Misdemeanor Mondays! Mini-episodes for when we are TIRED, HONEY, but still want to chat crime. Lauri shares the (possibly) misrepresented story of Shellyne Rodriguez, and Maria shares the true story of Chloe Stein. Mini-Episodes will help Bloody be able to do proper coverage for the rest of the weeks in a month, plus there are few things funnier in true crime than receiving a misdemeanor, as it CAN mean no one was actually hurt but someone definitely made a fool of themselves. Born "God", Big Chillin' is perhaps the biggest example of psychopathy to ever enter the office space of the truly terrible therapist Ian Herrin. But what else could you possibly expect from someone whose most neutral and least chaotic friend is an actor known for his brain injury. Big Chillin' purports to be making a major life decision between choosing the path of Catholic religious righteousness and the downward Hell spiral of video games, but it does seem that he made his choice to pursue the devil a long, long time ago. Maybe if Big Chillin's dads had been more honest with him about their lifestyle, that level of open communication could have helped him to grow, but instead, Chillin' found Ian, and so now these two insanely offensive wackadoos won't accomplish much of anything besides offending anyone within their earshot. Daaaaaamn, you're sexy, and the reason I know is because you found the best part of the episode description! In this episode of The Stormchaser Improv Podcast Show, we're back with more Gametape. The only thing better than surviving an improv show (that maybe wasn't your best) is watching it back with your friends and then talking about it in front of MILLIONS of listeners. We're back with Season two of the pod and we're starting off with Gametape from our LIVE show on June 26th! We watch “gametape” to get better. Trav, Tash, and Andrew sit down and discuss what worked in our show and what definitely didn't! Side note, As you may or may not know Anatasha isn't currently performing with us because she's a real life working actor performing 8 shows a week at The prestigious Utah Shakespeare Festival! But she still found a way to jump on the pod after watching the show to share her insights and her harsh harsh judgements with us. It was great to be back doing the pod and we hope you enjoy! In this episode we talk about: finding the balance of space and silliness and how difficult it can be switching between the two. We ruminate on the value of putting effort into the production side of the show, and we touch base on how it feels to be shaking off the rust and getting back into the habit of performing LIVE again. Welcome to Jo's Boys, a podcast for little women, little men, and everyone in between! We'll be reading through "Little Women" chapter by chapter, pulling out queer and trans threads as we go. Your host is Peyton Thomas, author of the Kirkus-starred novel "Both Sides Now" and a freelance journalist with bylines in Pitchfork, Billboard, and Vanity Fair. This week, we're joined by special guest Jaime Armenta, a writer and comedian with the Pack Theater in Los Angeles. We dive into the fourth chapter of Little Women, "Burdens," where Jo uncovers the secrets of her crotchety old Aunt March's lavender marriage, Meg spills some great governess gossip, Beth remains an angel, and Amy remains a stunt queen. Our cover art is by Allison Hoffman. It interpolates the cover art for Bethany C. Morrow's book "So Many Beginnings: A Little Women Remix," with permission from Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. Our theme music is Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 16 in C Major.

Brian joins Jennifer and David on a bridge to discuss the art of improv, Pack Theater in L.A., and what BOC has been up to during the pandemic. Brian James O'Connell is a working actor, writer, director, filmmaker and teacher in Los Angeles. After selling his feature film debut as a writer/director, KILLER VIEW (the only film shot on disposable video), he followed it up by directing the 35mm Southern indie comedy ANGRY WHITE MAN starring Matt Berry, Scoot McNairy, Steve Agee and Mary Birdsong. BOC (as his friends call him) is part of the improv powerhouse & comedy collective Dr. God, who delivered their first feature film project BLOODSUCKING BASTARDS in 2015, starring Fran Kranz, Pedro Pascal, Joey Kern, Joel Murray, and Emma Fitzpatrick, which O'Connell directed as well as co-writing the script with Dr. God. The film was the Opening Night Premiere at Slamdance in 2015 and is available now on Amazon Prime after it's 15 city theatrical run along with a two year run on Showtime. Dr. God's new animated series HELL DEN is currently available on SYFY Channel where they serve as the Creator, Executive Producers, Producers, Directors and Writers. Season 2 premiered in Fall of 2020 as part of TZGZ. With multiple projects in development, BOC is currently pitching his pilot THE ANARCHIST COOKBOOK (based on the IP of the same name) under Executive Producer Emmet McDermott (60 Second Docs). Please give him more stuff to do. If This Is True would like to introduce you to Brian James O'Connell. You might know him from his directorial success with the movie Bloodsucking Bastards, or his TV success with Hell Den on SYFY, or his improv success with Dr. God, iO West and the Pack Theater. I'll bet you didn't know that BOC is a fan of modern Roman history, went to college with Captain America, and thinks about improv ALL THE TIME (It's true, he does). We recorded this on Say Day and touched on the importance of appreciating one another. BOC apologizes for the quality of his voice. I apologize for my editing skills. Otherwise, it's a damn good episode! If This Is True appreciates YOU!
