Graham Cole, together with his wife Jules, has been involved in Christian ministry for more than 40 years. Jenny Salt hears how it has taken them to many places around the world, and for 20 of those years, to the Midwest of the United States. There, they discovered a perspective on life and the love of God that reveals the future for both America and Australia. They're back at home now, but still feel very connected to the country, the culture, and the Christians they left behind.

In February 2020, EFCA pastors and church leaders gathered at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, for the annual Theology Conference. The focus was on the theme “Contending for the Faith – 7 Critical Contemporary Doctrinal Challenges: A Biblical, Theological and Pastoral Response.” On this episode of the podcast, we share Dr. Graham Cole’s message on the topic, “The Doctrine of the Scriptures: Authority, Clarity and Sufficiency.” Graham serves as dean of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and professor of biblical and systematic theology at TEDS in Deerfield, Illinois.
Fewer Christians today believe that Satan is a person, rather that he is an impersonal force. But the Bible has another view, that Satan, angels, and fallen angels are all creatures made by God, that they are quite real, and that they are involved in human history. What is the history of these spiritual beings? How important is it that we understand their role in God's plan for humanity? What do the Church fathers and modern apologists like C. S. Lewis have to say about them? To answer these questions and more, John Stonestreet welcomes Dr. Graham Cole, author of Against the Darkness: The Doctrine of Angels, Satan, and Demons and Dean of the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Resources: Against the Darkness: The Doctrine of Angels, Satan, and Demons, by Dr. Graham Cole Join us at the 2020 Wilberforce Weekend, May 14-17!

Who's Calling Christian? Graham Cole AKA PC Tony Stamp
Guest speaker, Graham Cole, Dean of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School Chicago, spoke at Merri Creek on the occasion of the baptism of his grandson. Graham deals asks us if we really know what 'Christian' means in this age when it has been coopted by so many other political and cultural groups.
Faithful Christian leaders know that their preaching and teaching of God’s Word needs to communicate both the meaning of Scripture in light of the Bible’s big, overarching story of redemption as well as help us understand, in basic categories, what we should believe and how we should live. On this episode of the podcast, we share a conference message by Dr. Graham Cole entitled, “Think Biblically, Preach Systematically.” In this message, Dr. Cole helps us understand our preaching and teaching in light of the relationship between Biblical Theology, which focuses on understanding the meaning of the text and Systematic Theology, which helps us understand (in organized categories) what we should believe and how we should live.Dr. Cole serves as Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology and is the Dean of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.
In the second part of this interview, Graham Cole sits down with Adam to discuss his most famous role, PC Tony Stamp in 'The Bill'. Graham gives a detailed account of his early days on the show, becoming a household name and the aftermath of playing such an iconic character. Casually receiving an OBE from Prince Charles, Graham talks about all of his charity work that lead him to that prestigious honour. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are those of the individual guest alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of their employers, colleagues or Adam Jarrell, creator of 'The Actors Studio Flat'.
Graham Cole is best known for portraying PC Tony Stamp in ‘The Bill' for over two decades. However, Graham's journey to The Bill is fascinating and makes for a wonderful story as he sits down with Adam to discuss working within repertory theatre, musicals and much much more. The first of two parts, Graham also hands out sound advice for any potential actor within theatre and TV. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are those of the individual guest alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of their employers, colleagues or Adam Jarrell, creator of 'The Actors Studio Flat'.
