After lengthy delays due to director turnover, the pandemic, studio shake-ups, and behind-the-scenes drama featuring its lead actor, DC Comics' Scarlet Speedster finally raced onto movie screens this past summer. Director Andy Muscetti helmed the pic, staring Ezra Miller as a Barry Allen who goes back in time to meet another Barry Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Ben Affleck as Batman and also bringing Michael Keaton back as Batman. Despite bringing back your Dad's Batman and boasting a multiverse of meta-references, the film failed to find success in the Father's Day frame and fizzled out, making less than its production budget at the domestic box office. This all but sealed the fate of the DCEU, with James Gunn taking the reins. But don't despair! In 2007, director Edgar Wright released the follow-up to his international hit Shaun of the Dead with Hot Fuzz, a buddy cop/serial killer horror/comedy starring Simon Pegg (who also co-wrote with Wright) as the morally rigid cop transferred to a small village and immediately comes face to face with a series of gastly murders poorly staged as accidents. The film solidified Wright as a visionary filmmaker, Pegg as a leading man alongside comedy partner Nick Frost. But does the film's comedy still hold up a decade on or should it be put on permanent suspension? Director Robert Eggers stormed into international acclaim with his debut film that looked at isolation, madness and paranoia. For his follow-up, The Lighthouse, Eggers swapped Colonial New England for turn-of-the-century New England, a puritan family on the brink of collapse for two Willem Defoe and Robert Pattinson drinking, smoking, and antagonizing each other. Yet the film has grown a community of fans still trying to figure out the film's themes, which include mental health, Jungian archetypes, and Greek maritime mythology. Starling Tribune - Season 4 Edition – Episode 8: Legends Of Yesterday   The Official Arrow Podcast of the Gonna Geek Network   It's a special edition of The Starling Tribune as the reporters discuss the Arrow and Flash crossover, Legends Of Today and Legends Of Yesterday. What an awesome complete death scene! The reporters give their take on Big Boss fight scene #1 and Bg Boss fight scene #2. Damian Darhk and Vandal Savage see a speedster for the first time. The reporters have a theory on Vandal Savage and the League Of Assassins. The reporters are wowed by Felicity's tech-fu being able to play a BetaMax on a dime using modern equipment. Even while he is on the road for the week, Neil reports remotely from Central City. Going deeper into the episode, the reporters discuss is Felicity is acting out of character and if Samatha Clayton is asking too much of Oliver. Those issues bother's Stargate Pioneer so much he reached out to Anna Hopkins to get her take on what happened in the episode. (#AnnaHopkinsForCaptainMarvel) The reporters salivate over the meta-ness of Oliver Queen playing with William's Green Arrow action figure in the future! Isn't it silly that Hawkman and Hawkgirl's outfits always fit? There's always a cost to magic and time travel. The reporters give their answers to who will win in a cage match: Zoom, Savage or Darhk. The reporters tell which trailer they are more excited over: Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer or The Batman v Superman Trailer. Jiaying telling Gordon to "take care" of Gonzales, meaning blasting everything to pieces to destroy every evidence. Sure Lauren did the "maaaahp" sound from Sterling Archer, after they blasted the building. Like me. Holy Frak how Skye took out that Agent! But May really shouldn't try reason with her right now. Jiaying's plan to distrust seems to work. Ugh! Man, all that plus the May vs. Skye bonnanza, and that was just the pre title logo sequence! Perfect, so Jiaying has powers like X-Men's Rogue! Aaaaargh, pushing that needle under Bobbi's fingernail is too brutal for me. Gutting, chopping off heads, no problemo, but this...uhrrrrr. Really beginning to dislike Agent Weaver. How disrespectful she talked to Mack. Simmons finding out about Cal's substances...I have a BAAAAD feeling about this! No surprise that Jiaying would kill Raina, but that Skye would see it from the bushes. Please! Let it be May posing as Agent 33, while Kara is still sleeping!!!   Poor Cal, being the puppet for Jiaying. But man are the SHIELD people dumb for taking Cal to the medical wing from where he can escape. If Gordon and Lincoln doesn't understand it by now, when Jiaying opens up the briefcase with the crystals, then they can't be helped.   Nice, Coulson taking out the battering ram from Winter Soldier out of the closet. And managing to derage Cal. Quite a feat! Hahaha, Mack asking for these skills from Skye! Last episode I was wondering which unconscious body they carried through the ship. So that was Skye. "Ginger Ninjas" *rachelsnort, at least Lincoln is finally beginning to question of what is going on. I predict, in the end he will sacrifice himself. Only in the end they show Bobbi's chair was chained to the ground. First suspected she would try to knock down the rifle. In the end sliding into the line of the bullet. Next best decision. This two-parter is bannanas! Now May managed to trick kara to pose as May, to go to Ward and Ward to shoot her. Wow!! Mack mentioning Fox News...priceless! If there wouldn't have been talk about a Spin-Off show, I would feel way more anxious about Bobbi's current critical condition. How did Skye know about her mother using the crystal on the ship to kill Beardy Agent? Really Simmons??!! Now you are bringing up this delicate topic?! As if Fitz doesn't need anything extra to cloud his mind during this crucial mission!  Skye vs. Ginger Ninjas and all the rest is more grand than some action movies in the cinema. Really Skye??! Talking with your mom while her goons load the crystals on a plane?? "And together we can rule the galaxy as father and son....oh mother and daughter". Very Empire Strikes Back. I was so freaking out when Skye let her mom come closer...to freaking touch her and suck out her life energy!!!!! How they decided to make Skye's eyes bleached out, hen Jiaying tries to kills her. Though Skye still had some energy left for that power move to push the plane from the ship. So that happens when two different objects try to exist in the same space: Bye Gordon, really liked you but Jiaying had you already around her finger for many years.
