It's hard enough to play in the NFL. Imagine having a whole other career on the side while doing it. That's what Matt Overton does as both the long snapper for the Los Angeles Chargers and as a real estate agent with clients in both Indianapolis and Nashville. A nine-year NFL veteran, Overton has bounced around with a few teams, spending most of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, where he was a Pro Bowl selection in 2013. During his career, he's spent a lot of seasons as a free agent, not sure if he'd get the chance to keep playing. He took the entire 2019 season off when no calls came in, and he used that time to finish his schooling become a real estate agent. But all the while, he kept working out and preparing as if a call would come. You don't have to get ready if you stay ready, he said. Out of that motto birthed his brand, "Stay Ready," which serves as both a motivation to him and others but also a chance for him to reflect on and share his faith in Jesus. He's got a great story and a great perspective on how he lets God use him and his platform. You can check his merchandise out at mattovertonbrand.com and give him a follow on Twitter @MattOverton_LS, where he's a super encouraging person to follow. If you want to know more about Matt's story, you can check out a couple of stories I wrote on him for Sports Spectrum last year. It's Super Bowl week, though, so we couldn't let him get out of here without giving up some analysis on the game. Be sure to stick around for his prediction! Matt Overton has spent most of his professional life with his head between his legs. That’s kind of the job description for an NFL long snapper. But an 8-year NFL career, including a 2013 Pro Bowl selection, didn’t come easy. From failing to make a highly competitive youth football team at just 7 years old to his first NFL training camp experience lasting all of 3 days, Matt has fought for this every step of the way. Now newly married (to Breanna, a former Colts cheerleader he swears was the one chasing him) with his first child on the way, he talks with Beav about looking forward to fatherhood, what’s next in his career, and the type of legacy he wants to leave. Hear it all on this week’s episode of the Tactical Baby Gear® podcast!

On today's show, Pat is joined in studio by probably the world's greatest impressionist, actor and comedian, the man of 1,000 voices, Frank Caliendo. They have an incredible chat that ranges from Frank's career doing impressions, the life that he has lived to this point and what some of the seminal moments were to get him to this point in his career, some of the fears and anxiety's that he has trying to further his career in the digital age through Instagram and Twitter, what aspirations he still has for comedy, and some of the things he has learned from Pat trying to reinvent himself through podcasts and other forms of media. This is maybe one of the deepest and realest conversations we've ever had, and not one that should be missed (3:45-1:28:15). Pat also covers the Knicks being screwed out of the NBA draft lottery, gives a couple thoughts on the NBA playoffs now that we're down to the conference finals, and chats about Jamie Collins potentially going back to New England, as Pat remembers him jumping over Matt Overton to block an Adam Vinatieri extra point, which sends him down memory lane as to why he can't stand Walt Anderson.
