(00:00) Zolak and Bertrand discuss Tom Curran asking Penn State TE Tyler Warren about possibly being drafted by the Patriots. Beetle questions how underwhelming it would be to take a tight end in the first round, while Zolak argues it would give Drake Maye a reliable target for years to come. (15:01) The guys dive into mock drafts, with Beetle reviewing different scenarios and the consensus around the Patriots’ pick. They question whether all signs are pointing to New England taking Will Campbell. (25:22) The guys react to Dane Brugler's claim that Armand Membou has more upside than Will Campbell, but also comes with more risk. They revisit the idea of trading down to draft Tyler Warren and take a look at the track record of tight ends taken in the first round. (35:06) Beetle brings up Adam Vinatieri being on the Patriots Hall of Fame ballot and says he plans to vote for him. The guys discuss whether Vinatieri's legacy in New England was hurt by his decision to leave for the Colts.

The Sports Experience Podcast with Chris Quinn and Dominic DiTolla
Episode 287 of “The Sports Experience Podcast” is here & we're continuing our block on some of the NFL's best postseason games of all time.In this episode we're discussing the 2001 AFC Divisional Playoff game between the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders. On a snowy night in what was the last game ever played at Foxboro Stadium, the New England Patriots took on the Oakland Raiders in one of the most controversial games in NFL history.Oakland steadily built a 13-3 lead behind quarterback Rich Gannon towards the end of the 3rd Quarter, and all seemed to be going the Raiders' way.New England, led by their former backup quarterback Tom Brady, however mounted a valiant comeback in the final quarter.A Brady touchdown run cut the deficit to 13-10, and an enormous stop on 3rd and 1 before the Two Minute Warning allowed the Patriots to regain possession for one final drive in regulation. On that final drive, controversy reared its ugly head. On what was a complete and total fumble forced by future HOF cornerback Charles Woodson, the referees stepped in and brought out “The Tuck Rule” which ruled the play incomplete and New England retained possession.Adam Vinatieri kicked an amazing field goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. Then in sudden death, Vinatieri iced the game with a field goal to hand the Patriots the win, 16-13.This in turn led to an eventual Super Bowl victory for the Patriots, and two decades worth of dominance of professional football.Connect with us on Instagram!Chris Quinn: @cquinncomedyDominic DiTolla: @ditolladominicProducer: @ty_englestudioInstagram: @thesportsexperiencepodcastIf you enjoy this podcast, please help support us @:https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-sports-experience-pod/support#sportspodcast#comedypodcast #oaklandraiders#newenglandpatriots#nflplayoffs

HR3 - With Adam Vinatieri being snubbed and more first time Hall of Fame candidates arising, Arcand believes there might be some bias from voters for not allowing Patriots' to have that honor. How long could guys like Vinatieri have to wait until they gets the call? Then, Andy Reid should have won Coach of the Year in Christian's eyes and Craig Breslow offers up a word salad in The Lightning Round. And, a wrong was righted for a UMass student in Clickbait.
How will the narrative around Jaylen Hurts change if he wins a Super Bowl? Does he break into the top four QBs in the league? No, but it squarely puts him in fifth. Keefe tells a story about entrance songs. What was Jones' entrance song at his wedding? Define classic rock. Only Antonio Gates deserves to be in the hall from this class, maybe Sharpe, but Vinatieri should have been in this class! Next year's class is stacked! Is Edelman a hall of famer? Probably not... He never even made a pro bowl.
Looking at Bill Belichick's girlfriend at the NFL Honors. Why did Lamar not win MVP? Why did Vinatieri not make the Hall of Fame? '01 alone could have put him in the Hall of Fame, says Keefe. We do not get it. Very strange. What is up with these Allens getting in?

Adam Vinatieri did not make the Super Bowl. He was an all-time guy and athlete. People do not value the specialists, we assume. Back to the Bill Belichick discussion. Did Ted jinx his old teammate? Did Eli get snubbed? We don't think so! The last name tells the story, also he beat Brady. Josh Allen MVP discussion, did Lamar get snubbed? No, he did not Allen had a way worse team. It was his best year as a pro. Mike Giardi joins the show. He speaks through the Patriots position coaches, Super Bowl storylines and more. Safe to say that he is not rooting for the Chiefs. Ted Johnson brought in his Super Bowl rings to the studio. Producer Assistant Jacob will never see those in his life as he is a Jet fan. Torn Achilles discussion.

Jim is joined by Christopher Price from the Boston Globe to break down the HOF candidacy of former NFL kicker Adam Vinatieri. First, Chris and Jim cover Vinatieri's two clutch kicks in the Snow Bowl against the Oakland Raiders (6:02). Next, they discuss both of Vinatieri's Super Bowl winning kicks, how he compares to the other two full-time kickers in the HOF, and whether Vinatieri is the most famous kicker in NFL history (10:35). Finally, Chris and Jim break down the significance of Vinatieri only being named to three pro bowl teams (24:16), before both stating whether or not they believe he deserves a place in the Football Hall of Fame (28:25).
Welcome to Episode 105 of "Unsportsmanlike Conduct," where Farace, Tim, and Anthony tackle the latest in sports with all the grace of a fumbled snap. This week, it's a whirlwind of chaos, predictions, and a few questionable opinions—just the usual, really. First up, a quick look at the final week of the baseball season. Playoff chatter is in full swing, and Farace will likely dive deep into stats while Tim wonders how many innings he can sit through without checking his phone. Anthony, as usual, will pretend like he's followed baseball all year instead of just Googling "MLB standings" five minutes before the show. Then it's onto NFL Week 2, where underdogs ruled the day and people's wallets took the hit. Farace will claim he saw the upsets coming (he didn't), Tim will somehow connect it all to his fantasy team, and Anthony might just cry over all the busted parlays. Speaking of the NFL, Bryce Young is OUT as the Panthers' QB, making history as the quickest #1 overall pick to get benched. Tim will probably try to rationalize this decision with some bizarre analogy involving race cars, while Farace points out the obvious—this is not what the Panthers had in mind. Injuries are piling up across the NFL, wreaking havoc on fantasy teams everywhere. Expect Farace to complain about losing players, Tim to boast about his "in-depth" backup strategy, and Anthony to remind everyone that he's still winning... for now. Finally, the crew takes a look at the first-timers on the NFL Hall of Fame ballot, including Eli Manning, Terrell Suggs, Luke Kuechly, and Adam Vinatieri. Expect a debate on who deserves the gold jacket—spoiler: Farace will find a way to make this about the Giants, Tim will overthink Vinatieri's career, and Anthony will insist on bringing up fantasy stats that have no relevance to the Hall of Fame. Join us for Episode 105, where predictions are shaky, opinions are strong, and at least one host will claim victory over something no one else cares about. It's sports talk at its finest—or at least, sports talk at its most entertaining. #UnsportsmanlikeConduct #PopCulturePros
Siyamak sits down with Joe Vinatieri, Mayor of Whittier, California and a tax expert. There was just a great entrepreneurial spirit,“ said Mr. Vinatieri. ”When you're pushing people and they're leaving California, they're taking jobs with them, they're taking income with them, and those are tax dollars.” --------------------

For this episode I'm joined by former Super Bowl winning running back with the New England Patriots Antowain Smith. I start out asking what he's been up to and what life is like when you transition into retirement from the game (:56) I then ask how he only played high school football his senior year and how he played only because of a “dare” from his friends. He then talks about how he left a scholarship from Auburn on the table to take care of his ailing grandmother I ask about his experience playing under Bill Belichick and what Bill was like and the environment of the organization. (5:05) I then ask what Tom Brady was like in the early stages of his career and he talks about how some veterans like Ty Law and Lawyer Milloy molded him early on (7:56). I then get his take on the success Brady is having nearly 20 years later (11:15) We then talk about the 2001 season and how the team had little expectations going into the season and especially after Drew Bledsoe went down (13:20). I then ask the team's mindset, game plan going into Super Bowl 36 as 14 point underdogs to the Rams(15:15). I ask about his iconic celebration as he was the first Patriot to rush the field after Vinatieri's field goal (16:45). We then talk Super Bowl 38 and the flipped script with the Pats being heavy favorites in that game (19:00) I then ask his thoughts on Brady getting the ball with less than two minutes in Super Bowl 36 and 38 and whether he had confidence in him (21:05). He then talks about what is was like scoring a touchdown in front of his hometown friends and family in Houston in Super Bowl 38 (23:10). I get his thoughts on the current game and the differences in regards to safety from the time he played (23:50). I ask about an epic run he had on 10/17/1999 (YouTube if you want) with the Bills when he trucked Raiders safety Eric Turner on the way to a 50 plus yard TD run (25:15). I ask about some of the intangibles and ingredients that goes into championship teams and he sheds light on a lot of the team bonding things those Patriots teams did (26:40) and he concludes talking about some of the guys he still is close with on those Patriots teams.

It all starts this week against Jacksonville where there's arguably four straight must-win games (Jaguars, Texans, Titans, Bucs). What's up with Adam Vinatieri and Eric Ebron? We all agree that it's unlikely the Colts replace Vinatieri, but Ebron is likely not returning after this season. Also, how important is it for this team to recapture their early season momentum lead by the offensive line? If it doesn't reappear, you can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Finally, we look ahead to Jacksonville after a nightmare showing the week prior against Miami. Will Jacoby Brissett or Nick Foles have the bigger impact in this AFC South showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The Colts are sticking by their 46-year-old kicker, but how long will it last? This week against Atlanta will tell us plenty if Vinatieri will get out of his mental hurdle. Also, diving in on the offense, we go over notes on the rushing attack, Jacoby Brissett, playmaker distribution, and Frank Reich's play-calling. Is it time to finally open up the playbook for Brissett heading into Week 3? I believe so, as does Zach. Finally, we go over notes on the Colts' defense before the biggest keys to the Week 3 tilt against the Atlanta Falcons. We will know plenty about this roster soon enough, and this win in Tennessee was pivotal to rebounding from their loss in LA. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
On today's episode, all of the takeaways from Day 5 of Colts training camp are noted along with exclusive audio from Frank Reich, Justin Houston, Adam Vinatieri, and Andrew Luck.Luck missed his second of five practices so far with his calf issue, so is it time to worry? No, I wouldn't because Luck is finally controlling his own rehab compared to the past. He also said he could play on Sunday, if needed.Three defensive backs had strong days: Pierre Desir, Kenny Moore, and Marvel Tell III. Tell's work as a gunner could mean Chris Milton could now be on the outside looking in for the 53-man roster, because the rookie shined on special teams.Denico Autry continued to look dominant, including an incredible rep against Quenton Nelson where he made him look silly. Autry has been theist defender across all days of camp thus far.Who will win the WR5 spot? Zach Pascal had a horrible day, while Chester Rogers had a big bounce-back day. Will Pascal, Rogers, or someone else take the crown for WR5 before camp concludes? Finally, 30-plus minutes of audio featuring Reich, Houston, Vinatieri, and Luck to close out today's show. Could James White fill the void of a Shane Vereen departure or does the team need to lookat a player like Reggie Bush, who both Brain Daboll and Dave DeGuglielmo know well. Will Malcolm Butler be able to rise up the ranks next season and will he be known for more than just his Surper Bowl play. Does his assention, mean that Brandon Browner could be a cap casualty as he is due a roster bonus to start the league year. What will happen with Vince Wilfork, Jeff thinks he's a cap casualty while Bobby is looking for hope in a restructuring. What about Danny Amendola, is he on the outs? Could a player like Josh Boyce take his place? Why is Brian Tyms looked at with such lust by Patriots Nation, while Aaron Dobson is looked at like a bust. All this and more one Patriots Beat
