Grace Lu is someone I've known for a few years through the work of my husband, voiceover actor JP Karliak. Grace Lu is a graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, CA, and is currently a rising sophomore at UCLA (Go Bruins!) studying Psychology. And while a full time student, Grace has been navigating a robust and full professional life in both on-camera and voice over capacities here in Los Angeles. Grace is currently a recurring role of Megan in Bunk'd on Disney Channel, and it was recently announced that Grace is the voicing the role of Shining Glitter Cookie on the video game Cookie Run: Kingdom. Grace's voice can also be heard on Transformers: EarthSpark; Madagascar: A Little Wild; and the video game Legends of Runeterra. On screen, Grace has been seen in Sydney to the Max, Side Hustle and (thrilling to my MT nerd-dom) Grace is featured in the You Will Be Found montage of the film of Dear Evan Hansen. (There are several video game and animation projects in the works that Grace is super excited about and hope to be able to share soon!)Grace started acting in elementary/middle school musical theater productions in Carlsbad, California! Grace has always loved anything artistic, and can be found always drawing, creative writing (mostly poetry!), songwriting, and singing or jamming out with her brother. Learning about environmental issues and scientific discoveries and advocating for more diverse and inclusive education is also a big passion of hers.On a personal note, I am so impressed with a young professional actor like Grace - who continually balances the many pressures of a full-tilt adult professional work life, with the developmental and exploratory experiences of college life. Showing us all, there is no ONE way to approach a life as a student and an actor.  We proudly welcome to the podcast, Grace Lu.If you'd like to reach Grace Lu you can find her at:Website: www.gracelu.comInstagram: @grace.mlu X/Twitter: @gracemluBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! My guest today is MMA coach and lifetime wrestler Kenny "Bolt Wrestling" Johnson. Now before all my non fighting fans run for the exits, you may want to spend some time with us. Kenny is not only one of the most energetic, passionate people I know, but his take on approaching challenging goals and coaching is brilliant. He shares how he went from a 96-pound freshman to training the likes of BJ Penn, Anderson Silva, Alexander Volkov, and Lyoto Machida to name a few. Kenny's ability to go hard and stay passionate about wrestling and helping others for close to 40 years is inspiring. He coaches at Black House MMA and Mira Costa High School. Kenny is on a mission to help young people develop and improve and uses wrestling to do that. This show is not about fighting (even though there are a lot of amusing stories) it's about being human and taking on lofty goals because you believe in what you're doing. Kenny wears his heart on his sleeve and likes to say the word Fuck from time to time (keep your eyes on the message). Enjoy! Tom Edwards took his first ceramics class at Mira Costa High School when he was fifteen years old. While pursuing a B.A. degree in Art History at UC Santa Barbara, Tom took two years of studio art classes in ceramics and sculpture. By 1983, Tom had a relatively successful line of pottery which he sold mainly through retail craft fairs. It was at this time that he came up with the idea of Wally. The next year Tom moved to Los Angeles where he built a small studio in his sister’s garage. He dropped his previous line of pottery and he began decorating all of his pots with cartoon imagery. Eventually Tom moved and set up shop in Colorado where he lives and works today. Recently Tom stood up to Tesla and Elon Musk for copyright infringement and Tom won.
