Caitlin Stryker grew up a railroad brat, never living in any city for longer than a few years as her father's railroading career kept the family on the move. With her gypsy spirit firmly in place, she splits time between the three cities she calls home: NYC, LA, and Vancouver, BC. She started her career in the performing arts as a ballet dancer performing with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Young Performers Ensemble, where her love for emotional freedom was established. Caitlin was then scooped up by Elite modeling agency in Toronto, which fluidly led to her acting career in Film/TV. Her love of film has even put her behind the camera as she co-produced multiple shorts, and Award-Winning feature films, with her husband Bradley Stryker. In this episode we ‘get into it' with Caitlyn about: -Moving throughout childhood-Recreating identity-Stage and camera acting-Getting over stage fright and moreFollow Caitlyn on IG or visit her IMBD.

“What can I do to make my recordings sound more professional?” I've been getting that question since I started TAXI 33 years ago. Being a “retired” engineer/producer, I've got opinions and suggestions, but they're not as good as somebody who's currently in the trenches, doing what you do. But I know a guy who IS in the trenches, and I watch his Youtube videos quite often. And I really like them! You might be watching them as well. Does the name, Jon Meyer ring any bells? Jon will be my guest on this week's episode, and we're going to cover (at least) 10 things that can make your music sound more professional. I'm very excited to have Jon join us for this episode, and I suspect it will be chock-full of great suggestions. Have your notepad ready!

Harold Bloom defined 'strangeness' as a mark of originality that is endemic and absolutely required for any work of literary art to be considered a masterpiece or a classic. Dan Simmons goes further to define it as a quality in the writing or storytelling that indicates to us, the reader (or viewer for Film/TV), are in the presence of an intelligence that is unique or different enough to be able to teach us something about ourselves. So...how does one achieve 'strangeness?' Is it something that can be taught? Practiced? Or is it something you either have or you don't? We discuss! Also, Josh recommends Men which is on HBO Max, and Ira recommends It Follows which is on Prime.
