Alexis has become a prolific sports asset owner and investor, with controlling stakes in the NWSL's Angel City, TGL franchise Los Angeles Golf Club, and new athletics venture Athlos. If you're worried that you are in a 'catch 22', you don't have enough cash to expand your business but you can't grow without more cash. And the final one is if you struggle to set targets for your organization and you feel that you're navigating a motherless ship, then you're ready for us. 4:11 What are some of the common mistakes that folks make before finding Jeff and his solution: You hit the nail on the head. The first one I always talk about is not having a guide who's been there, done that. There are lots of coaches and consultants out there who have never ever run their own business. The second thing is focusing on sales' topline growth or net profit bottom line growth, but not focusing on cash, that's a huge mistake I see out there. Number three, not using that information to create 30-day action steps. And the fourth one I find is they solve problem on a tactical basis, in other words they look for 'A solution' like SEO, or direct mails. But they don't look at how it factors into the whole business funnel from lead generation to cash in the bank. Therefore, making decisions not based on the long term. 5:28 Jeff's Valuable Free Action (VFA): Start looking on where you want to end up versus where you are today. Think like an owner of a business not like an accountant. Review your cash coming in and going out each and every week. And then to project out the next couple of weeks, months, and years. So, you're trying to start with the end in mind, work backgrounds to how much cash do you have today, how much will you have tomorrow, how much you will have next month, and next year. This episode of the Audio Experience is about raising rates - and how to do it by following the “P+E = Logic Formula” that I have lived by since I first studied it… This is one of my favourite audio clips - as it features two PT's in the same room with me (at my 3-Day Marketing Event) whose clinics were just two blocks away from each other in the D.C Area… and yet, both were charging wildly different prices! One PT had a cash-pay rate of "$135” - the other, she was charging “$225”. How the hell can that be possible? What's funny is the one charging “$135” was ADAMANT that no-body “in my town” (I hate that phrase) would pay more for Cash PT - UNTIL she had proof that it could be done… What's even funnier is that as the two PT's discussed their rates - and both decided to RAISE them - another PT in the room (from Florida) was so inspired by what he was hearing that he too decided to raise the rates by another $30! In this one I share an insight into how I am better able to justify being away from my family whenever I have to attend an event or a seminar… I do a lot of travelling - often transatlantic - and I am always fighting with obvious “pain” of leaving my kids (and business) whenever I have to spend days away at a seminar or an event - even though I know it is necessary for my personal development and business growth and that means it will inevitably benefit my family as a whole. In the past, I used to think that to get back to my kids as fast as possible was the right thing to do. As in, seminar finishes at 5 pm on Sunday, I want to be on the 8pm flight back to Britain… These days, I do something completely different - and it allows me to justify the time - and expense - of being away from home and my business. This one is a live Audio Experience from a 3-Day Marketing Event I did In Alexandria, VA, recently with 10 amazing PTs… Listen in as you hear me talk about how I risked a “small chunk of downside” - for a “huge potential chunk of UPSIDE” - when I made the decision to flip my business from one that was “waiting for the phone to ring” all day - to one that meant our Marketing focused more on getting Leads and Converting them (Lead Generation Marketing). As I moved over to this model of Marketing (and away from the doctor referrals or word of mouth stuff) it landed my business with “chaos” (in the short term) as we had an increased volume of work load and output - without the extra staff to cope with it. But here's the thing: I wasn't prepared to hire someone to help us until I proved to myself over a 3-6 month period that we could make it work… I made a big, bold, strategic decision to let some areas of my business “slip” for a few months while we went after what I consider to be the biggest area of opportunity I had ever had in business.
