Send us a textOver the past 6 years, I've learned in my health coaching practice that for so many women, there's great confusion around what triggers hormone imbalances. So today, we're talking about the gut/hormone connection because when your gut gets wonky so do your hormones. Your hormones will never be balanced if you have underlying digestive and gut issues. Gut health as it relates to hormone balance is my biggest passion, from personal experience as well as for my clients. Many challenges we put in the “hormone imbalance” category are driven by gut imbalances- and to heal your gut means healing those symptoms. · UTI's· PMS symptoms· Constipation or Diarrhea· Autoimmune conditions· Chronic Fatigue· Brain Fog· Insulin Resistance· BloatingThis episode is part 1 of a two-part series. In the next episode, I'm going to talk about my gut/hormone reset (which I will be offering as an online January group program). I'll talk at length about an Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition plan, Supplementation, Smart Lifestyle Changes and Strategies- but today I want to break down what's going on in your body and what's keeping you in a state of imbalance and frustration. It's the beginning of summer and camps are in full swing. But camps aren't just for kids, are they? This week, your TSHE hosts are imagining what their ideal adult summer camps would be. Some activities we brainstormed: come and go macrame, lots of swimming, comfortable beds, lots of alone time, a theater production, and a big final dance! Our mileages may vary, but this is beginning to sound like a plan! In small talk, Bobby tries it so you don't have to (occasionally featuring Ann), Hillary continues her movie journey with Rory, and Meredith has some sad news (RIP sweet Wonky!). Now let's get back to capturing the flag!TSHE RecommendsMike Nichols: A LifeConnect with the show! This is your show, too. Telling the truth can be difficult for a few reasons: Fear of hurting someone's feelings: We often avoid truths we think might upset or disappoint others, even if honesty is ultimately better. Protecting ourselves: Difficult truths can threaten our self-esteem or damage our reputation. We might lie to avoid appearing bad or incompetent. Social harmony: Sometimes we bend the truth to keep the peace or avoid conflict. This can be in social situations or even at work. Uncertainty: If the truth is complex or unclear, we might hold back until we have a more complete picture. Even though it can be hard, honesty is generally the best policy. It builds trust and strengthens relationships. There are ways to make telling the truth easier, like focusing on being respectful and choosing the right time to speak up. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moodkillers/message
The first seeds for Wonky Box were planted when Angus Simms and Katie Jackson were fruit picking and saw how much wasted produce was caused by an unseasonal hail storm. The fruit was perfectly edible but aesthetically imperfect, so it was all left on the trees. This shock led to a now national food box service delivering wonky (but great) produce to people, and has so far saved more than 2 million kilograms of food going to waste. Co-founder Angus Simms joined us to chat the journey, improving the food system, and what's next. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
