Primo de Lanzarote es un proyecto que se inicia oficialmente en 2017, aunque su origen se remonta desde hace seis años. Creado por Davide Musci, Luca Fissolo e Alberto Sanino, italianos de Piemonte afincados hace años en Lanzarote. Davide desde hace tiempo trabaja en la elaboración de licores digestivos, mistelas con frutas, hierbas, investigando recetas tradicionales de las Islas Canarias. Hace unos años, siguiendo una tradición de su ciudad de origen, Turin, pensò en elaborar un Vermouth apostando por utilizar vino de calidad y unico, el vino de Lanzarote isla que ama y donde está afincado desde hace años. Sus amigos y ahora socios Luca e Alberto se han involucrado y empujado el proyecto, aportando su experiencia (son dueños y gerentes de Alma de Canarias, empresa artesanal referente en Canarias que produce perfumes y productos cosméticos de alta calidad). Juntos han creado una receta original para el primer vermut de Canarias, re-élaborando recetas y experimentos realizados unos años antes, macerando hierbas y plantas autóctonas tales como ajenjo, cilantro, tomillo, sauco, salvia canaria, azafrán canario, tuno indio y naranjas de Gran Canaria y Lanzarote, pero sobre todo utilizando caldo de uvas de Lanzarote, variedad Malvasia Volcánicas y Diego. Fundamental fue la colaboración, ayuda y experiencia aportada por el amigo bodeguero Francisco para conseguir base vìnica de calidad y procedente de la isla. Primo de Lanzarote es un proyecto que nace por pasión y placer, elaborado por personas que disfrutan de lo que hacen y antes del dinero dan más importancia a valores como la amistad, la honestidad y compartir experiencias. De momento se ha lanzado a la venta el Vermut Blanco y Vermut Rojo, caracterizado por el utilizo de tuno indio y miel cocido de palma canaria En fase de preparación, un Vino Licoroso Quinado con infusion de algarrobas. En poco tiempo, Primo de Lanzarote recibió un gran interés por parte del público y del sector de spirits & beverage. Con la ilusión de que el nombre de Lanzarote estará presente en las mesas y barras de los más prestigiosos restaurantes y bares europeos, y por qué no internacionales. Los vinos de Lanzarote tienen un sabor volcánico-mineral muy marcado y equilibrado por su acidez relativamente alta debido al tipo de suelo en el que se cultiva la uva y por el clima subdesertico de la isla y la influencia de los vientos alisios. Eligiendo una base vínica de calidad hemos querido mantener los matices únicos, tanto en olores como en sabores, de las variedades de la Malvasía Volcánica y Diego. Posteriormente, en la fase de ensamblaje, se fusionan con una original mezcla de hierbas y especias seleccionadas consiguiendo mantener las características de las uvas en el vermut. Con Fran León.
