Designing a platformer boss is tough, so today we’re looking at how to design a good platforming boss based off three bowser Boss battles from New Super Mario Bros Wii, Super Mario 3D Land, and Super Mario 3D World. These boss fights teach a lot about how to make a proper and fitting brawl in the quintessential Mario platforming series, so I’m on a hunt to see what I can learn for other platformers based off these three examples!

We start off December with our much postponed co-op gaming discussion. Justin, Cole, Ethan, and Christina are joined by our guest, Coop. From Contra to Gears of War we buddy up to save the world and help you run a proper co-op gaming experience. Send in your questions to simon@horriblenight.com or @TheHorribleShow We love co-op games and have no idea why we haven’t focused on them sooner, but here we are, and what better way to talk about them than with our buddy, Coop. But first things first, and that means Threesomes of the Week. Ethan tries to calm himself with kid’s movies but just ends up getting thrown out of a bar. The On the Spot question wants to know what game do you wish had co-op? Cole misunderstands co-op for tricking a buddy into being your mule in Dragon Age. Co-op gaming not only takes a great game but players that know how to play co-op. We establish some rules to co-op gaming like no overdomination, no douchebags, and don’t take it too seriously, but in the end just end up fighting about Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War, and Halo. Who ever said you needed to get along to co-op? Greetings Press Pause Radio listeners, all four of you.... I'm only joking everyone, my mother just subscribed so I know that we're half way to reaching double digits. Our latest episode is all about New Super Mario Bros Wii, perhaps the best Wii game to come out this year. I certainly know it's been the game of choice for the three of us recently. This title really does present itself as a combination of the best aspects of previous Mario titles. The art style and innovation of Super Mario World, mixed in with the levels and enemies reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. 3 and a side of New Super Mario Bros DS. We also discuss the pros and cons of Valve's latest release, Left 4 Dead 2.
Denne uken får du anmeldelser av Left for Dead 2, Torchlight, New Super Mario Bros Wii og Jak & Daxter: The Last Frontier. Vi er innom sære spill fra Japan, søksmål i Usa, og vi fortsetter tradisjonen med vår julekonkurranse. Send en julehilsen til hardcore@srib.no og vinn et spill!
