Emojis are an essential part of how we communicate with each other. But where did they come from? And what do we do if we want to create a new one?More than 30 years ago, Nirvana released an album with a naked baby in a swimming pool on the cover. That baby is now a man, and he isn't too happy about it. When an actor dies, is it unethical to create a virtual reality version of them for future movie appearances? It depends on who you ask. In this live stream we're going over the following topics that have been in the news this week! - Spencer Elden, more famously known as "the Nirvana Baby" has been suing the band Nirvana for the use of his image on their album cover, claiming it's CP and has caused him harm. His case was dismissed, and he's already filed a Notice of Appeal. We'll talk about why the outlook is... a little bleak for him. - Courtney Clenney, p/k/a Courtney Tailor on Instagram and OnlyFans, appeared at a hearing this week, where her attorney argued that evidence should not be made public. It didn't go well for them--here's why. - In the never-ending divorce saga between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, a new surprise: Angelina Jolie claps back at Brad Pitt in filing counterclaims against his complaint and amended complaint filed earlier this year. Let's go over the details to see what this means. This week we discuss outdoor apparel company, Patagonia, and its founder Yvon Chouinard aka one of the world's only good businessmen. You may have seen him pop up in the news for giving away the (massive) company to a newly established non-profit dedicated to fighting climate change. Yvon may be one of the only billionaires who looked at his bank account and said "this is embarrassing" and actually gave all the money away. We discuss his past and how he came to be such an anomaly in our capitalist world. We also cover the Nirvana naked baby lawsuit and a massive scandal rocking the world of chess (sex toys are involved...). The baby on the album cover of Nirvana's "Nevermind" has re-filed his lawsuit against the band after his initial complaint was dismissed last month. The baby (now-adult Spencer Elden) claims what, you ask? CHILD PORN. Child porn is a reprehensible scourge on human existence but Nirvana's album cover depicting a naked baby swimming is not, per se, pornographic (in the opinion of this humble description writer)... Will this lawsuit hold water?!
