Sarah Rowe is a triple code sportswoman. She has represented the republic of Ireland in football, was a Gaelic football star back home for County Mayo in Ireland and currently applies her trade for Collingwood in the AFLW. We love these types of podcast episodes where there is a great mix between a round table discussion and an interview of our guest. Sarah's story is so unique to anyone we've had on the show. From being identified and handpicked out of Ireland to come and play at the highest level of a sport she hadn't heard of, to becoming one of the biggest leaders in the entire league, it is certainly an amazing journey! Sarah with us the incredible work she's doing off the field with Performance by Design which opened up a conversation around leadership, fear, perfectionism and even superstition. Plus, "What's in the GolfBox?" returns with another cracking and embarrassing story and we also get a great insight into Irish culture, especially after hours! Undertaking diverse actions in life often entails a certain degree of suffering or sacrifice. Whether it's committing to a rigorous educational pursuit, embarking on a demanding career path, or fostering personal relationships, sacrifices are intrinsic to progress. These sacrifices may manifest as time spent away from leisure, facing challenges head-on, or making tough decisions. Sarah Rowe shares her life's lessons, wisdom, and guidance with all those tuning in today. Remember, success is the offspring of sacrifice; every step forward is a choice to leave comfort behind, paving the path for the extraordinary! Join in as young leaders pose inquiries about life, personal development, and beyond! Quotes: “I need to feel safe, so I was doing things that made me feel safe. I was being a person that I could count on at least.” – Sarah Rowe “I trust in my instincts. I trust what God tells me, like my gut instinct.” – Sarah Rowe "My whole life, it has made me rethink literally every decision I've made, from here on out and forever." – Sarah Rowe Takeaways: Prioritize self-reliance for a sense of safety. Sometimes, being the person you can count on becomes the anchor in uncertain seas. There's wisdom in trusting what God reveals. Let intuition guide your journey, embracing the synergy between faith and inner knowing. Life's revelations have a profound impact, making us reassess every decision. Embrace the transformative power of reflection, using each moment as a compass for future choices. Conclusion: Making wise choices often involves a willingness to forgo immediate comforts or conveniences. Sacrifices, in this context, serve as the practical currency exchanged for long-term success. As individuals navigate life's complexities, the synergy between thoughtful decision-making and purposeful sacrifices becomes the driving force toward resilience, personal growth, and the achievement of aspirations.

In 1991, Canada was “the first country to accept refugee petitions based on persecution due to sexual orientation or gender identity.” Over the years, recognition of 2SLGBTQIA+ vulnerability has caused the number of sexual orientation and gender identity refugee claims to increase in the country. Does Canada's identity as a safe haven allow for an easy entry system for these claimants? In this podcast, host Sarah Rowe addresses this question and more with guests Kelly Ernst and Jay De Santi.
