Old Tassel, a prominent figure among the Overhill Cherokee, was a staunch advocate for peace during a period of conflict between them and the settlers moving into East Tennessee. Despite his efforts to forge treaties and maintain peace and harmony between the two groups, the rise of tensions ultimately led to tragedy for both. Under the direction of Ned Grujic, she played the role of Helen Sinclair in Bullets Over Broadway and was part of the On The Town and Godspell ensembles at the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris. She also played the role of Poncia in Federico García Lorca's play The House of Bernarda Alba at the Théâtre de La Nouvelle Athènes, directed by Guillaume Bouchède. She was also a member of the chorus of the symphony orchestra accompanying Joe Hisaishi on his last tour of France, and the singers of the Chœur à l'horizon, a Paris-based professional chorus specializing in the musical theatre repertoire, created and directed by Nima Santonja. In 2024, she played the lead role of Della in Sneaky Pete's Wild West Dinner Show at the Legacy Dinner Theatre in Wisconsin, USA. She is also the producer and artistic director of the A-Broad'way Cabaret, in collaboration with Kendra McBride as musical director, which opens this November at Green Room 42 in New York City, and in which she will sing alongside other international artists.-Lucie is a graduate of ECM in Paris, a musical comedy school run by Ned Grujic and Véronique Fruchart, where she trained for 3 years in singing (vocal technique, polyphony, musicianship), dance (classical, jazz, tap), theater (classical, contemporary, mime, clowning) and stage combat (swords, batons). —She also trained in cartoon voice-over with Edwige Chandelier. —To complete her professional training, she moved to New York to study at AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where she benefited from American expertise, honing her skills in singing, dancing and acting.A sportswoman from an early age, she has a passion for salsa and other Latin dances, and enjoys a wide range of disciplines including tennis (her specialty), climbing, skiing, horse-riding and rollerblading. The Ancient Greek concept of Daimon leads us to the genius, and later to the Guardian Angel, and as of today Spirit Guides. The work of Plato, from an amnesiac soul to its self-realized spiritual ascension, is today spoken about in the form of star seeds and ascension mysteries. Helana Blavatsky's channeling of the ‘mysterious Indian', known as Moray, along with Koot Humi, and Alice Bailey's channeling of Djwal Khul, have taken us to the channeling of Ashtar by George van Tassel, or the various contacts made by Aleister Crowley of Lam, Aiwass, and the Red Lady, and further of every person today with a cell phone camera who channels interdimensional aliens. And the outrageous science-fiction claims of Corey Goode have set back legitimately spiritual conversations and ufological investigation by maybe decades. Ex-trésorière au sein de l'enseigne de prêt à porter Kiabi, Aurélie B. aurait détourné 100 millions d'euros. Après avoir usurpé l'identité d'un cadre afin de détourner de l'argent, la Française de 39 ans a été mise en examen pour fraude et blanchiment en bande organisée.Une femme d'affaires influente, à qui tout semblait réussir, est soupçonnée d'une fraude monumentale. Sur ses réseaux sociaux, Aurélie B. affichait sa proximité avec des stars du rap et sa fortune depuis Miami (Floride, États-Unis), où elle résidait. Cette Française de 39 ans dirigeait son entreprise aux activités diversifiées : aviation d'affaires, événementiel, design et même médias.Selon une information de franceinfo, Aurélie B. a été mise en examen pour escroquerie et blanchiment en bande organisée, soupçonnée d'avoir dérobé 100 millions d'euros à l'enseigne Kiabi, l'un des leaders du textile à petit prix, dont elle était encore trésorière en 2022. Elle aurait usurpé l'identité d'un cadre pour détourner l'argent sur des comptes personnels et l'encaisser. Author Dan Van Tassel returns to the Sunbury Press Books Show to discuss his new travel memoir, "Beyond Barron." The sequel to the 2008 release, "Back to Barron," Van Tassel tells of he and his wife Rhoda's travels and career. The memoir focuses on schools and universities attended, taught and visited; homes built, bought and redecorated; vehicles and pets acquired, all done with humor and detail.  Dan Van Tassel grew up in Barron, Wisconsin, about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis, Minnesota and discusses his upbringing in a small town reminiscent of the life Garrison Keillor often wrote and told his own tales about. Van Tassel graduated from St. Olaf College, and earned graduate degrees from the University of Iowa. He taught literature at Muskingum College and Cal State-San Marcos, and now teaches courses for senior citizens. Dan is also the author of the 2022 Sunbury Press release, "Journey by the Book: A Guide to Tales of Travels." He lives in Northfield, Minnesota.

In today's episode, we delve into the story of George Corn Tassel, a Cherokee man who was charged with the murder of another Cherokee man in Cherokee territory in the 1830s. Despite the incident happening in Cherokee territory and involving only Cherokee people, he was convicted by the State of Georgia and hung in Gainesville, Georgia. This led to a series of legal battles that reached the United States Supreme Court in Worcester v. Georgia. Historian, professor, and author, Dr. Michael Gagnon joins us today. Dr. Gagnon has conducted extensive research on Cherokee Removal, Cherokee court cases, and many many other topics that we look forward to exploring in later episodes. Bailey Van Tassel is an entrepreneur and mother of three, who created both the Kitchen Garden Society and the Garden Culture Podcast. She grew up on a hobby farm in Sebastopol, California, but didn't fully appreciate her cowboy parents until she moved away and missed the huge garden, chickens, and pigs that she grew up around. Settling into the suburbs of Southern California meant she couldn't have the same amount of space, but after a challenge from her husband Joe, Bailey went to Home Depot, bought some plants, got her HOA's permission after vowing to share her vegetables, and the rest was history. Bailey's life changed even more once she started to share her journey online, where her passion shifted from hobby to profession. In this episode, Emma and Mary sit down with Bailey to discuss her journey, the evolution of her gardening practices, and techniques such as planting by the moon and vermicomposting. After years of searching for the perfect land to have her farm and garden, Bailey realized that right where she was, was good enough.
