In this compelling message titled, "The Shame Game", Melissa Norris doesn't just diagnose the problem of shame, she points clearly to the cure. Shame is not your final word. Jesus is. He carried shame so we don't have to carry it ourselves. Jesus speaks into who we are: beloved, forgiven, and free. Let her encouragement wash over you today. May you hear anew: you are not defined by shame, but by His finished work.Blessings!Sanctioned Love#shame #diagnose #Heisthecure #identity #beloved #forgiven #chosen #free #encouragement #definedbyHim #Jesus #FatherGod #HolySpirit #sanctionedlove #podcast
2025 Detroit Lions Hall of Shame Game: Preseason Takeaways and Concern Rising The Detroit Lions opened the 2025 NFL Hall of Fame Game with a disappointing 34–7 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, raising early alarms as preseason action begins. In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, we dive into key angles—including how Hendon Hooker and rosters fared, what the result means for the Detroit Lions preseason, and how the Detroit Lions depth chart is shaping up as Training Camp 2025 approaches. Detroit's preseason opener in Canton exposed major issues. The Lions committed five turnovers—two on special teams and three through interceptions and fumbles—immediately setting the tone for a sloppy showing. Coach Dan Campbell made his feelings clear postgame: “Turn the ball over and it'll be hard to keep you around.” Kyle Allen started at quarterback and struggled with two interceptions, although he did lead the Lions' only scoring drive. Hendon Hooker came in during the second half, finishing 3-for-6 for just 18 yards and also throwing an interception, further highlighting depth concerns at the QB position. Hooker's performance drew criticism around timing, pocket awareness, and an alarming head hit late during a run. Local analysts are questioning whether he can adapt to NFL game speed, especially after previous injury issues that ended his college season with a torn ACL. Coming off limited snaps in 2024, Hooker needs a bounce-back—fast. This exhibition game setback complicates the ongoing battle for the backup job, with Jared Goff firmly holding the starting role. Despite the loss, some Detroit Lions players to watch emerged as positives. Rookie Isaac TeSlaa made an impact with 2.88 yards per route run and strong blocking, while Ahmed Hassanein demonstrated discipline and situational awareness that align with the new staff's defensive approach. Rock Ya‑Sin also delivered clutch run stops early. Still, the film review of the trenches exposed protection woes and lack of cohesion upfront. Colby Sorsdal's performance after shifting back to guard stood out, but overall line play remains an urgent area for improvement. With Training Camp 2025 imminent, the Lions must regroup. The Detroit Lions depth chart is in flux—especially at quarterback and along the offensive front. New coaches will need to quickly instill discipline and reduce play errors before the regular season. This Hall of Fame Game defeat shouldn't sink morale, but it should motivate corrections. Listen to our full breakdown as we nail down what went wrong, who needs to step up, and which Detroit Lions players are on the bubble entering camp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifmgoirJl-c Let us know what you think about the show by commenting in the podcast thread in the subreddit, or by leaving us a voice mail message via Skype at: Detroit Lions Podcast Your input will help make the show better, and if you leave us a message on Skype, you just might be featured in an upcoming podcast! Hello from the LIGHT ABOVE!Last week, I participated in an AI Hackathon, making a personal vow not to quit halfway through. It was an incredibly challenging week, pushing me to create a single project within a tightly constrained timeframe.Yet, everything flowed, and I emerged with another incredible product. My struggle now lies in mustering the energy to promote and share it with the world. But then I had to ask myself: Is external promotion truly the ultimate point of creation?Youre solving a problem internally for others to capture and make their own lives "easier."Is that not enough? The lie we often tell ourselves is that every problem-solving creation must be "pushed" out into the world to attract an audience. However, there's a different perspective: you can always iterate and create, returning to a project later or concluding it when it feels right for you in that moment.Today, we're busting the myth of "embrace the push" and embracing a more organic, iterative approach to sharing our creations. In the end. I created a incredible solution to a BIG problem for spiritual change makers.TODAY we'll unpack why cranking out a bunch of imperfect stuff actually gets you closer to brilliance, why your obsession with “perfect” is a productivity trap, and how to kickstart your creative engine without the usual hand-wringing paralysis.Sound like the creative freedom you've been craving? Let's dive in.Prolific Creation: Your New Best FrenemyHere's the truth bomb: Research shows that the key to high-quality work isn't agonizing over one piece until it's perfect. It's producing a lot of work. Like, a lot. Why? Because:* Breakthrough ideas often arrive by accident. The more work you pump out, the higher your chance of hitting gold. It's basically creative Tinder — swipe right on lots of ideas, and eventually, one's going to be “the one.”* Practice makes masterful. The more you do something, the sharper you get. Those “quick and dirty” drafts? They're your creative gym.* Perfection is a moving target. Chasing it nonstop just leads to burnout and frustration. Instead, treat “done” as your new BFF and polish later. This is why I developed the Magnetia SEO GLOW Guide: a practical system that gets those ideas from your brain onto the page fast and frequently, without the perfectionism roadblock.Instead of “embracing imperfection” like it's some consolation prize, this method makes deliberate speed and quantity your secret weapons. How This Changes The Game For YouHere's the kicker: producing prolifically doesn't mean your work ends up “meh.” No way. It means:* You get better each time, so your quick efforts become genuinely excellent over time.* Your creative breakthroughs, which often outshine presentation, come more often.* You have raw material to tweak and polish quickly — upping your content's impact without the paralysis of starting from scratch. So, if you're stuck in the “perfect or bust” loop, try shifting to “done, then better.”THE REAL SOLUTION: PROLIFIC CREATIONThere's actual research about what produces high-quality work, and it's not endless fiddling and overthinking ONE project. It's quantity.1) Producing frequently increases the chance that you'll have a breakthrough idea (they often happen by chance, so the more chances you take, the more likely it is)2) Producing frequently sharpens your chops. You get good at something by doing it A LOT INTRODUCING: THE MAGNETIA SEO GLOW GUIDEThe Magnetia process transforms your content creation process by:- Breaking the perfectionism cycle and bring clarity to what you wish to share with the world.- Turning your expertise into SEO-friendly language that actually converts- Giving you a repeatable system for prolific content creation by keeping YOUR VOICE - just more clarity. THE PROLIFIC ADVANTAGEBut even though "done is better than perfect" is our mantra, your end work does NOT end up being mediocre, for three reasons:1) You get better and better the more you produce, so your 'quick work' becomes quite excellent2) You have more breakthrough ideas, and the quality of an idea will often outshine its presentation3) Once you've got *something* to work with, you can refine and polish it (quickly, usually) into something that jumps up a few levels in excellenceThe Magnetia SEO GLOW Guide leverages deliberate speed and frequency to produce influential work that actually ranks and converts.Stop letting perfectionism keep your genius trapped in your head. Start creating prolifically with a system designed for real results.Magnetica is waiting for you, pop on over for a free assessment HERE!The Light Between is a reader-supported publication. Discover practical tools and biblical principles to overcome the 'shame game' and live a life free from the bondage of sin.
All my dreams came true and the guilt & shame grew! I have an untested theory that because we waited so long to meet our person we unintentionally take on guilt because we try and cram in all the experiences and moments we missed out on for so long.
After gushing about him at the end of our last episode, Adam and Cole give a warm in-studio welcome to the iconic emperor of trans masculine adult content and sexual healing, Viktor Belmont! In this hilarious and heady conversation, Viktor shares about his exceptionally unique experience of self-actualization, not only as a sexual healer and formidable adult content presence, but also as a trans man. Growing up in rural Oregon as a young punk rock lesbian, Viktor came to learn some things about himself before taking the transition plunge and relocating to San Francisco, where he lived modestly while developing an immediate understanding of the need to brand himself as a well-known sexual internet presence. In the days of MySpace and Tumblr, he gained a following as well as a very specific understanding of what it was he could bring to the table, not only to monetize his sexuality but also to bring some healing to clients of all kinds who could benefit from the firm hand of a trans male dom daddy. Viktor is a fascinating storyteller, so put on some headphones and fall under his captivating spell just as Adam and Cole do. Thank you Viktor, we love you, sorry not sorry!!
In this message Pastor Fran talks about how society so often moves on an honor/shame mentality related to various kinds of status, and how far too often Christianity just becomes an extension of this worldly honor/shame game. Jesus, in his teaching and at the Cross, exposes the falsity of this arrangement and invites us into the freedom of love and of seeing with his eyes.

Everything is gonna be f*cking fine. 2) Trump's week in media where he appeared on Joe Rogan and held a "German Workers Party" rally at Madison Square Garden... or something like that. Either way, the media lost their sh*t over it so we're here for it. It's causing the 'shame game' to heat up, which is comedy gold. 3) Two major, institutional publications take a small but major step toward doing journalism instead of activism. A Rough JusticeAnother tale from the Celtic WikiIn March 2011, Celtic & Rangers engaged in “The Shame Game”. It was a match that involved Rangers players losing the plot and finished with the hyperbole of Alex Salmond summoning then CEOs of Celtic and Rangers (Lawwell & Bain) to a summit to discuss the bahviour of both clubs. At the time The Human Torpedo recorded this slice of Celtic History from The Celtic wiki to look back at troubled games from the past, starting in 1949-50 season.Enjoy…Thank you for listening to The Celtic Underground Substack. Learning how to dismantle shame based beliefs about ourselves and stop playing the shame game!
Why do humans wear clothes? The Bible says we felt ashamed, and quickly learned to point the finger of blame at everyone else. Jesus teaches us a better way to live.
As usual one of the crew found another rabbit hole and took to reading Healing the Shame That Binds You by John Bradshaw Join the Crew in what becomes a very vulnerable discussion about shame and how it can affect us in all aspects of our lives, including spirituality. Shame in and of itself is a vital emotion in navigating the human experience. Think of it as a moral compass. Toxic Shame (the shame projected on us by others), however, is extremely undermining to our sense of self. The more shame you accrue the more the authentic self shrinks and the false self you create to cope, takes over. The Crew discusses why spiritually awakened individuals might be a little more sensitive to shame and the impact the false self can have on your growth and healing journey. Listen to find out how the false self would present itself and the paradoxical nature of neurotic shame. Bradshaw says in his book “True love heals. It affects spiritual growth. If we don't grow because of someone's love, it's generally because its a counterfeit form of love.” WOW! Now that's a yardstick to measure your relationship by! Lots to reveal, unpack, and absorb. Shame is an insidious force. Born of fear, embarrassment, and regret, shame festers in our emotional bodies to create core false beliefs about ourselves. These beliefs then guide our actions and create insecurities, doubts, low self-esteem which can lead to the development of addictions, unhealthy cycles, and destructive behavior. Do you see how powerful of a force that shame can be? The damage it can cause? This is why it's so important to identify and heal our shame based beliefs and wound in order to truly experience our Divine Feminine radiance. On this week's guest episode I welcome my lovely friend, Eleni Mita. What experiences and situations have you had that have guided you to where you are now? Have they been significant events or just small nudges? Everyone has a different story of how they got to where they are. Kyira Wackett, a licensed therapist and shame expert, shares how she became passionate about helping people overcome shame. She discusses her background in wanting to be a doctor and how her experiences with her mother's work in hospice care influenced her desire to help others. Many of us struggle with doing what we think we are supposed to do versus what we want to do. This causes a shame cycle. Kyira discussed the concept of shame and how it affects people's beliefs about themselves and their ability to belong. She has explored how shame is triggered by the fear of disconnection and the pressure to meet societal expectations, leading to feelings of unworthiness and self-doubt. This is a great conversation focusing on self-love, healing, and giving you permission to give yourself grace. DID YOU ENJOY THIS EPISODE?
